Dear Journal,

I wore Mommy’s shoes today. We played dress up and I got to be the prince and Mommy was a princess and we had sparkly tiaras and pretty dresses. I did Mommy’s make-up and it was lots of fun! 

Mommy has lots of shoes but I’m not allowed to wear them cause she says I gotta be careful. She has super tall boots and pumps and flats and slippers and sandals and also really heavy boots. Mommy says those are combat boots but I don’t know why she has them. She’s not a soldier and she says that fighting is not okay, even if you’re angry. 

Mommy’s shoes are very pretty and when I grow up I want to have just as many nice shoes. Daddy lets me wear his shoes sometimes, but they are super big and I always trip when I wear them, just like a clown! I like wearing Daddy’s shirts, though. They smell really nice and always make me feel better when I’m having a bad dream. 

I really liked playing princes and princesses and dressing up. The boys in my class only want to play army or pirates and the girls always make me be their prince.

 I like being a prince, but I don’t want a princess. Mommy says I just have to wait till I’m bigger and then my prince will come, just like in the song from Snow White. 

I’m gonna ask Mommy if we can play Snow White tomorrow. But I don’t want to be Snow White or the prince, I wanna be Doc so I can make all the pretty stones. I can wear Daddy’s shirt and his hat and it will be perfect! If Daddy wants to play too he can be Sneezy because he has been sneezing a lot and it’s really loud. Mommy says it’s allergies, but I think he just likes making us jump.
