"Where did you come from?" Blaine lowered his head at the strange question that hed never heard before, of all of the things hed been asked about why he was such a freak. He felt a brush of fingertips across his cheeks, oval nails scraping along his strong jaw and down to his hard chin. "What are you? You cannot be human, can you?" Two thin hands squished his cheeks, pressing down on the dark skin and making his lips pucker. There was a light giggle at the funny face he must have been making, and then that smiling face came into his line of sight. A pointy nose pushed against his, so close to him that he tried to jerk back, but he was stuck between those light hands that were running over his ears, caressing his eyebrows, touching his lashes and making them flutter. "You are not what Ive ever seen before."
Blaine pushed his lips to one side of his face, something that the little boy who was observing him took into notice. He poked the corner of his mouth, and Blaine curled his lip. A huge smile broke out on his explorers face, "How beautiful. No... not human. You must be your own species. But where could you have come from? Perhaps youre a prince from a far off land... and you ran away from home to find your princess." Batting his lashes at him, Kurt tittered again, a light noise that Blaine almost relaxed at. But he hadnt relaxed in a long time, and he couldnt remember how. "Will you tell me?"
Raising his head at that, Blaine stared at Kurt through narrowed, swollen eyes that were still misty from the tears hed cried throughout the night. He rubbed them until they were red and sore, but a pair of little hands pulled his fists away. Wiping the dried tears away, Kurt whispered softly, "There... is that better?" Blaine turned away from Kurt, feeling a hand come to the back of his head and rub until he made a low sound of pleasure, "Will you say something? You dont have to be quiet. Its just us... you dont have to be scared of me." Blaine wouldnt part his mashed lips, so he kept cooing and stroking, "You have a lot on your mind, dont you? Can I know what it is thats bothering you?"
He shook his head, trying to keep his horrid thoughts away from Kurt. Hed already broken down enough last night. He couldnt let it happen again. Feeling Kurt rub the tip of his nose against the side of his neck, he turned to Kurt and looked at him with wide eyes. "Please... talk to me." Kurt pleaded with him, dotting his top lip with a quick peck that warmed up Blaines skin. The tears he hadnt already shed appeared at the corners of his eyes, but he blinked them away before they could escape. "Say something?"
He didnt know what Kurt wanted him to say, but he knew that if he opened his mouth, a low sob would break loose and reveal how sad he really was. Just barely peeling his lips apart, Blaine moved closer to Kurt and nuzzled him, rubbing his cheek against his, "I love you." He mumbled into his ear, his hot breath blowing onto Kurts lobe and making it red.
Quivering with emotion that was ready to fall out of him, Kurt snuggled so close to him that they could have been mistaken for one person. They wrapped their arms around each other, and Blaine got so warm from the heat in Kurts skin that he stopped shaking. "I love you, too." He peeped, turning his head and kissing Blaines ear. "Its okay... youre okay. Are you hungry? Do you want something warm in your belly?"
Blaine didnt make a move, even though he was very hungry because all of his wailing and snorting had taken all of the energy out of him. Watching Kurt move away from him, Blaine followed him with his eyes, focusing on the way his dress fluttered around him as he walked away. He saw him leave the room, but he didnt want to be away from him, so he quickly stumbled off the couch and hurried after him. Hed never felt so needy before. Pushing through the kitchen door, he found Kurt stretching to reach the top of the counter, and he rushed over to him and grabbed the back of his nightgown. Startled by the sudden touch, Kurt twisted around and gave Blaine a gentle smile. Reaching back for Blaine, he ran his fingers through his hair and kissed his forehead. "Its so nice to see you."
Flitting across the room, Kurt brought a chair over to the counter, then he went to the fridge. He tapped his chin as he decided what he wanted, then he pulled out a few things like eggs and milk. "Lets see... could I ask you about yourself? Youre in a world of your own... but Id like to be a part of that."
Blaine blinked at his best friend, watching him crack an egg over a bowl and stir it into a puddle of yellow. "Whats your favorite color?" Kurt looked at him after he asked the question, making sure that Blaine was okay with speaking. Blaine was glad that Kurt understood that he didnt want to open his mouth. "My favorite is pink... its such a pretty and light color! It makes me happy. But I do love gold... I started to favor it when I met you."
Touching underneath his golden eyes, Blaine looked up at Kurts pale face, his eyebrows scrunched as he concentrated on pouring the egg into a pan. He stepped a little closer to him, and he reached up to his white cheek, brushing his fingers just underneath those blue eyes. His blond lashes tickled his fingertips. "Blue," he said very softly, and Kurt glanced down at him again. His eyes crinkled as a beautiful smile stretched onto his lips, the tip of his nose wrinkling.
"Youre very sweet." Kurt squeaked, turning back to the stove as he worked on flipping the eggs. "What else would you like for breakfast?" He scratched the top of Blaines head, his clear, smooth nails pressing into his scalp. Blaine purred at the gentle touch, his eyes closing. When he pulled away from him so he could grab his spatula, he opened his eyes again. Stepping up onto Kurts chair with him, Blaine looked over what he was doing, breathing in the mouthwatering smells. "Would you like some French toast? Its very good. My maman tells me Im a wonderful French toast maker."
Blaine stared at Kurts hands, following them as they reached for the milk and a few more eggs and whipped those into another bowl. Looking back up at him when he scooted closer to him, he shrunk down until he thought that Kurt might not see him anymore. "When we get married, what do you want our wedding to look like?" Kurt squeaked, a playful grin curving those precious, pink lips that Blaine adored. Blaine wished he could kiss them, but he wouldnt dare get any nearer to him. "Ill be dressed in sparkles and white, and youll be in a black tuxedo... maybe a bowtie at your neck." Touching Blaines collar, he tugged on it to drag Blaine closer to him. His blue eyes flashed over Blaines blank face, pausing for a brief moment on his pale, thin lips. "And after my daddy walks me up to you... well kiss." He quieted as his tongue poked out and wet his bottom lip, and Blaine realized what he wanted.
Raising his brows, Blaine shyly turned away from him for a second, but he couldnt deny Kurt what he wanted. The battle didnt last, and he twisted back around and rubbed his lips against Kurts. He heard Kurt sigh into his mouth, a soft noise that made Blaine stiffen his arms so he didnt wrap them around him. Pulling away, Blaine sat back on his heels and watched Kurt smile at the light kiss hed been given, his hand lifting to his quivering mouth. "How amazing." He chirped, looking up at Blaine with bright, blue eyes. "Do you like my kisses?"
Nodding his head, Blaine jumped when Kurt suddenly whirled back to the stove, "Oh! Our breakfast! What a distraction you are, my Blaine." Blaine frowned because he felt so guilty for bothering Kurt, but Kurt went on before he could apologize. "My maman tells me that men are meant to be distractions. And you are! It seems that all I can think about is you. And I know you think about me. But right now we must think about our yummy breakfast." Picking up a piece of French toast, he held it up to Blaines lips. "Would you like to be my taste tester?"
Taking the piece of bread between his teeth, Blaine chewed it and couldnt help but swallow it whole because it was so good. Kurt laughed when he glimpsed down at the rest of the cooling pieces to see when he could eat those, and he put his hand on Blaines shoulder. "Could I see if its good?" Blaine held absolutely still as Kurt leaned into him, pressing another kiss to his lips. He helplessly whimpered against Blaines mouth, a sound that surprised even him as he pulled away and put a hand over his lips. "Very good. Oh, Blaine... yes, a great distraction."
Picking up the pans from the stove, Kurt started scraping the eggs and French toast onto two plates. He handed one of them to Blaine, along with the syrup, and let him put those down at the table before he held his arms out. Blaine came back to him and boosted him down, taking him over to the table. They sat down by each other and dug into the food, both of them silently enjoying their plates. After a few minutes of getting the first couple of bites down, Kurt lifted his head and murmured, "Blaine? Are you okay?" When Blaine also glanced at him but pressed his lips together, he reached across the table and squeezed his bandaged hand, "Please... Id like to know. I was so scared last night. Seeing you cry like that... broke my heart. I just wish you would let me into your world."
Blaine finally opened his mouth, but then he closed it again. Sliding over to the edge of his chair, he shoved away from the table and walked over to the counter. He picked up his baby doll and book that had been left there, bringing them back over to Kurt. Tilting his head, Kurt took the baby doll from Blaine and brushed her hair out of her face. "Snow White is beautiful... just like you."
Putting the book between the two of them, Blaine flipped to the first page and flicked his eyes over the words and the picture. There was a pretty girl in the middle of the page, one with the palest skin and the reddest lips. He scooted the book closer to Kurt and plopped onto his butt, waiting for Kurt to read his mind and figure out exactly what he was trying to tell him but couldnt. Brushing his finger over the words he couldnt understand, Kurt said very quietly, "Blaine? Snow White was unhappy. Are you unhappy?" He turned his blue gaze back to Blaines face, his brows ruffling as Blaines frown deepened. He dragged the book back to himself and hugged it to his chest, daring another glance at Kurt and seeing his mouth fall open as if he was shocked by something. "My dear Blaine..." he cooed, shaking his head, but his voice faded away when Blaine laid the book back onto the table. "Would you like to read to me?"
Nodding his head, Blaine put his finger on the first word and mouthed it very slowly, "Once upon a time, a girl lived a sad life. This was no ordinary girl..." he stopped for just a moment to check how much Kurt liked to hear the story, if he should silence himself or not, but a sweet smile had tugged onto his lips and a glaze had covered his eyes as if he was imagining every word that Blaine was saying. "She was beautiful, with skin as white as snow and lips as red as a ripe apple. She loved all things, from the birds that sang outside her bedroom window to the flowers that brushed her heels as she flitted through the garden. She was a happy girl, but she longed for something more, the love of a prince who would adore her. One day, as she sang with the voice of a ringing bell, she met a prince who watched her from between the piles of snow that still werent as white as she. She was so surprised that she ran from him, scared to disobey her overbearing stepmother who would punish her if she knew of her new secret admirer. But the prince came back day after day, singing sweetly to Snow White outside her window, while the stepmother always hovered nearby, waiting to end the love they shared."
"Daddy?" A tiny voice squeaked in his ear, so high pitched that Blaine instantly knew which baby was pawing at him for attention. Helplessly grinning, Blaine tried to pretend that he couldnt see or hear his needy baby, but the stubborn boy kept batting at him. "Daddy? Daddy!" He turned his head to hide his low chuckle that escaped from his lips, and he felt a quick peck underneath his chin. His stubble must have scratched the babys sensitive skin because he saw him, from the corner of his eye, rubbing his lips until the bright red was a shock of color in his pale face. Suddenly amused by his damp lips, Archer blew out from between them and made them vibrate like a motor, and he squealed with giggles. Twisting around to face Blaine, he pressed his lips to his cheek and made them vibrate again. His shrieking and screaming got even louder as Blaine suddenly whipped around and did the same to Archers skin.
"Youre a silly baby!" Blaine smacked kisses all over Archers pink skin, hearing him laugh until he was gasping for air. "Daddy loves his silly baby!" Moving his hands under Archers arms, he tossed him a few inches into the air, then caught him again and squished him to his hard chest. Archer turned as red as a cherry from the excitement, his shining eyes flickering all over Blaines face as he waited for him to play another game with him. When Blaine looked away from him again, he lifted his tiny hands and patted all over Blaines face, grabbing his lips and tugging, pinching his cheeks, and he screeched once more as Blaine tossed him over his shoulder.
Grabbing the back of Blaines shirt with opening and closing fists, Archer lifted his head when his other parent stepped closer to him and brushed his wild curls away from his face. "Is your daddy funny?" Kurt cooed to his baby, rubbing his nose against Archers upside down nose. Archer gave him a crooked smile, but he looked concerned that his parents might have been seeing a frown because he pushed his lips up and down, unable to decide how to grin at them. "What a pretty baby... I like your smile. Thats a very good smile, Archer."
Immediately bothered that Archer had the favor of his parents, Hunter twisted his lips into a smirk and patted Kurts hand. Kurt also murmured over Hunter, making a show of both of their grins. Blaine knew that one day he would have very spoiled children, but he didnt mind at all. He would have given them castles in the sky. Flipping his son back over his shoulder, Blaine bounced him against his chest, gently patting his bottom with a light hand. He heard Archer hiccup as the air rushed out of him, and Hunter snickered at the pop from Archers mouth. Reaching for his best friend, he grabbed his curls and threaded his fingers through them.
Carrying his baby into the restaurant, Blaine gave their name at the stand and was led back to a table by the window. He pulled Kurts chair out for him and took Hunter from him, putting him in a chair across the table with Archer. The two of them stretched their hands out and grabbed the menus, yanking them into their laps. They looked over the pictures with wide eyes, then they pointed at things that looked good to them. Taking the menus from them, Blaine folded them up and set them back in the middle of the table. "Daddy will get you your breakfast." He said lowly, grabbing Keegans arm and pulling him away from the table. After Kurt told him what he would like, Blaine headed over to the buffet and started grabbing whatever he thought the babies would enjoy.
Once they had filled plates, they brought them back to the table, and Blaine set bowls of cereal and biscuits in front of the babies. He tore the biscuits into little bites that the babies could get down, then he poured milk on top of the colorful pieces of cereal. Sitting down beside of his husband and cutting up his own biscuits and gravy, he forked a bite into his mouth and said after he swallowed, "What do my precious babies want to do for their last ride? We have time for one more, okay?"
While Hunter finished chewing, Archer held up his hands and squeaked, "Daddy, can we see Peter Pan in Neverland? Me and Hunner never grow up in Neverland!" He frowned at his short legs, which still hadnt grown more than a few inches since he was an infant. "Ill never be as big as Daddy!"
"Thats a good thing." Blaine smiled at his babies, both of them still with pudgy cheeks and dimpled hands. "Daddy wants to keep his little ones." Finishing up his breakfast with a few more bites, he scooted away from the table when the rest of his family also emptied their plates. He grabbed Archer from across the table, pinning him to his chest as he walked out of the restaurant and back onto the busy sidewalk. Feeling someone touch his hand, he looked down at Hunter, who was waddling beside him, his clumsy steps much shorter than Blaines. He grabbed Hunters hand in his, slowing down his steps so his baby could keep up with him.
The ride was only a minute away, so Blaine picked up his baby when they got into the queue. The babies squeaked at each other between every step that Blaine took, and Blaine wondered what they were saying, if they were secretly talking about how excited they were. Once they got over to their ships, Blaine boosted Kurt into one of them and handed Archer to him, then gave Hunter over to Keegan. Keegan climbed into the ship that was behind theirs, plopping Hunter between his knees. Getting in beside his husband, Blaine wrapped his arm around him and touched the top of Archers head as he squirmed this way and that.
Brushing his fingers through Archers curls, Blaine bent to kiss the top of his head, feeling himself rock forward as their ship flew up into the air. They drifted into the nursery, almost touching the ceiling, and Blaine pointed down at the children. The youngest boy, Michael, seemed to be Archers favorite because he was little like him. Running along the edge of the wall, their ship turned so they could see Hunter and Keegan in the other one. Archer gasped at the sight of Hunter, waving his tiny hands at him. Hunter leaned so far forward that Keegan had to tighten his grip on him, and he cried at Archer, a word that Blaine couldnt understand but Archer giggled at.
They soon rolled out of the nursery and weaved through the streets of Bloomsbury, many of the houses still lit up as the light dwindled down. Blaine imagined that many moms and dads were tucking their children in and pressing kisses to their warm cheeks, just as he always did every night. As they steered above the clouds, Archer poked his nose over the edge of their ship and looked down at the Big Ben, which towered so high that the top of it almost peered through the hovering fog. Soon after they crept past the last building on the corner of the street, they found their way to Neverland, which shined among the stars, bright rainbows glowing above the water and mountains. Dropping closer to the happy place where Peter Pan didnt grow up, they were quickly shooed away by a pirate ship that blasted cannons at them.
Archer scooted closer to Blaine and squished his cheek to his chest, wanting him to keep him safe from the fire, but in the other ship, Hunter could be seen flinging his fists at the naughty pirates. He yelled at them with incoherent jabber, and the pirates stopped shooting, obviously terrified by the scary baby. Passing by the horrible scene of Peter Pan and Hook battling, Hunter hissed at Hook, baring his small teeth at him. "Bad Hook!" He snorted, and Blaine helplessly chuckled at his fiery baby, while Archer still tried to be invisible inside of Blaines jacket.
His red mouth fell open at the Indians, who were gathered around a fire and dancing to cheer on Peter Pan as he fought off Hook. "I like dancing, too." Archer appeared from inside of Blaines jacket, and he grabbed the sleeve of Kurts dress, still needing comfort in case something spooked him again. He smiled as the children took over the wheel of Hooks ship, the three of them watching Tinker Bell flutter over the ship and sprinkle her pixie dust. From the other ship, he heard Hunter laugh at Hook, who was scrambling out of the mouth of Tick-Tock the Crocodile. Shaking his head at his funny baby, Blaine waved at Hunter when he twisted around and held up his hands. His lips curved into a sly grin that even Kurt giggled at, so amused by their naughty baby.
Standing up when they got around to the exit, Blaine picked up his baby and took his husbands hand. Blaine walked over to Keegan, who was struggling to hold onto a wriggling Hunter, and he scrubbed his babys hair. "Did you have fun, sweetheart? I heard you laughing at Hook. Did you think he was funny?"
Snickering again, Hunter flailed his little hands, "Really funny! He got eaten by a crocodile! Did you see, Daddy? Did you?"
"I saw, baby." Smoothing Hunters wild hair, Blaine pressed a kiss to his cheek, then turned back to the baby he was holding and rubbed his back. "Honeys, do you want to get some ice cream now?" When they both eagerly nodded their heads, he turned in the direction of the ice cream shop, already thinking of how good a banana split sounded. After they got over to the shop, he went inside and saw both of the babies tilt their heads up as they sniffed the mouthwatering aromas that had coated the thick air. Heading over to the counter, Blaine asked for a banana split that Kurt wanted to share with him, then asked the babies what they wanted while Keegan ordered.
A few minutes later, they were given their ice cream, and Blaine carried the cups and cones over to a table. Handing Archer his strawberry ice cream and Hunter a caramel milkshake, Blaine put the banana split between him and his husband. Pushing the strawberries over to Kurts side of the container because he knew how much he liked those, he took a bite of a banana. As he chewed, he tried to keep down a smile at Archer, who was cautiously licking the freezing treat. Putting his face near the ice cream, Archer bit into it and lifted his head again, revealing a pink nose. He laughed at his baby, leaning across the table and kissing away the little dot. Scrunching his nose, Archer reached up to it to see why Blaine had suddenly kissed him. "Youre just like your père." Blaine cooed, and from the corner of his eye, he saw Kurt turn up his nose. Smiling at his husband, he cupped his cheek and pressed a kiss to the tip of his nose. "Both of you are adorable."
A rosiness bloomed onto Kurts cheeks at the compliment, and he flicked his gaze back to Blaines face. "I can never be mad with you." He teased with him, returning the kiss to Blaines cheek. Shaking his head at Archer, who looked very confused, he said very softly, "Your daddy is playing with us!" He returned his attention to Blaine, stroking his cheeks, jaw, and chin, "Hes being very silly."
Smirking at Kurt from between his fingers, which were on either side of his mouth, Blaine felt him stretch his smile even wider as he rubbed his face. He suddenly leaned forward and stole a kiss from Kurt, seeing his nose wrinkle as he giggled at the affection. Nuzzling against Blaines cheek, Kurt pecked another kiss to his jaw and chin, "But I love my silly man." Both of them started laughing when Hunter choked and gagged, his face turning green. Archer, who had been watching his parents with sparkling eyes, turned to Hunter and grabbed his face. Forcing him to lean closer so he could kiss his cheek, Archer laughed as Hunter stuck his tongue out and scrunched his nose.
"I love you as much as Père loves Daddy." Archer told him, and Hunter narrowed his eyes at him, scrubbing the smudge off his cheek.
"I love you, too." He spat, slouching in his seat and crossing his arms. Chuckling at his feisty baby, Blaine scrubbed his hair, but Hunter pulled away from him. He stuck his mouth on the straw and slurped up his milkshake, ignoring his crazy family as they laughed at his fiery attitude.
After they finished their ice cream, Blaine grabbed Archer and led his family out of the shop and over to World of Disney, where he was going to buy the babies light up hats for the show. As they walked into the shop, the babies gasped at the tall walls that were full of stuffed animals and baby dolls. Archer squirmed at something, and Blaine tried to follow his eyes to a specific doll, but there were so many that Blaine didnt have a clue what Archer was so excited about. Taking his baby over to the wall, Blaine smiled as Archer reached out for a Beast doll. Immediately stroking his mane to tame it, Archer squeezed him to his chest, looking up at Blaine with hopeful eyes. "Do you want him, baby?" Blaine coddled his son closer to himself, then he picked up a Belle doll, which was next to the Beast dolls. "Hell need his Beauty, wont he?"
Handing that doll over to Hunter, who turned her this way and that before sticking her into his mouth, Blaine grinned at his two babies. "Do you two want hats? Come here, my sweets. Look at these." He walked over to a rack that was full of Mickey and Minnie hats. Picking up one that lit up, he set it on Archers head, laughing when he blinked every time it flashed. He reached up to it so he could see if it would hurt him, then he quickly ducked away from it when it brightened again.
Grabbing another one and putting it on Hunters head, he watched him yank on it until it fell over his face, hiding him from everyone. He laughed into the hat, his voice much lower because the hat was blocking the sounds he was making. Kurt fixed the hat and put it back into place, making Hunter frown because he had liked wearing it the wrong way.
Blaine walked up to the counter and paid for everything, along with two lollipops that were the size of the babies faces. After he unwrapped the sweets, he handed Archers to his but had to hold it up for him because he wasnt strong enough to keep his grip on it. While he nibbled on one side, Blaine playfully licked the other, seeing Archer frown at him from over the edge of the snack.
They took their lollipops with them to the show, amused by licking them until they were distracted by the first stream of water that burst up from the lake. Peering up at the show from under their hats, the babies squealed when Mickey popped up on the screen of purple water. Soon after that, Minnie skipped over to Mickey, and they both welcomed everyone to their show. Every time a new character appeared, the babies cried out in celebration, so excited to see their favorites. When Belle and her Beast appeared in their magical dance that brought them together, with a golden spray of water flickering behind them, even Kurt gasped. He wiggled closer to Blaine, resting his head on his shoulder. Blaine turned his head and kissed him, a soft peck that didnt last more than a moment before they turned back to Cinderella, who was twirling with her Prince Charming.
The babies hats lit up in a rainbow of color when the show came to an end, but they hardly noticed because their heads were bobbing. Grinning at his babies, Blaine held Archer closer to himself and carried him through the crowd of people. By the time they got to the parking lot, it was almost ten, so Blaine knew his babies were exhausted. Opening the car door, he set his babies down in their car seats, stirring them one last time so they could look out at the glowing theme park. "Say bye to Mickey, honeys." Both of them opened and closed their fists, but then they yawned and snuggled against each other. Unzipping their bag, he pulled out a blanket and draped it over them, moving their baby dolls out of their tight fists and resting them against their chests.
Walking around to the front as Keegan got into the back with them, Blaine opened Kurts door and helped him in. He got in on the drivers side and started the car, looking out at the place where fairytales came true, and he knew that it had been just that for him. Feeling Kurts hand come to his shoulder, he glanced over at him and gave him a weary smile. Kurt scooted closer to him and pressed a kiss to his forehead, somehow knowing exactly how he felt. "Say something?" He pleaded with him, a soft whisper in his ear, and the happiest grin curved his lips when Blaine told him that he loved him. The two of them kissed, a thrilling peck that told Blaine that Kurt already knew because he could read his mind, and that he loved him just as much.
