The way I see it there are three types of magic.
1. Trickey
The illusion that a regular person holds great magic in the palm of ones hand. The spark of flames appearing from nowhere, white doves and rabbits discovered from uncanny hiding spots and life risking tricks. And that's what trickery is really. Tricks. Fooling people or finding them second guessing themselves over the possibility that the magician before them can actually make someone disappear or summon a rabbit from a top hat.
2. Sorcery
This type of magic lives in imaginary lands. The ability of using spells and witchery for the greater good. Evil is twisted into this force of magic, threatening to overpower. The juxapoistioning of these forces collide with the definition of magic. It isn't used to entertain or to trick. Sorcery and witchery and spells are used for a purpose, a need.
3. Love
Golden eyes connect with blue as rings are exchanged. Tears are making their tracks down many cheeks as vows and pomises and hopes and dreams are shared between these two men. This type of magic is the most special and powerful of them all. Love. Finding a person who you can call your own. A person to laugh at jokes that aren't funny, to eat every last crumb on the dinner plate even though the meal was burnt, someone to make chicken soup when you're sick and will kiss you on the lips even though it is inevitable they will get sick too. The feeling you get in the pit of your stomach when they smile or say your name or kiss each fingertip. This type of bond between two people, the secrets and the heartache and the laughter and the silent promise of forever.
No tricks, no spells, no foolery.
This is the real magic.
Pure and bare.
I do.
I do.
