Chapter one- The first sight
Kurt stood in front of the large doors of Dalton academy. The finest academy for young men in America. In other circumstances, Kurt would have felt extremely privilege to attend such an establishment…but no. Kurt is here for his safety. Not being able to live and face the harsh reality at McKinley, Burt removed Kurt without warning and enrolled him here.
“I’m sorry Kurt, I didn’t mean to take you away from your friends…but I need you too be safe. After your mom died, your all I have left of her.” Burt sighed, “you will be safe here Kurt… I think.. no I know you will like it here.” With a nod, Kurt dismissed his father, still not wanting to talk to him.
“I’m tiered. Il give you a call once I have unpacked.” Kurt replied stiffly. Burt sighed in defeat,
“okay… I love you bud.” As mad as Kurt was at his father, he did love him.
“Yeah you to dad.” He shrugged his rucksack onto his back and walked into the place which he would call home for the next two years.
Inside the academy Kurt was awestruck. It was beautiful. How this place was an all-boys school, and still managed to stay intact surprised Kurt. He was told on arriving that he had to go to the academy’s dean office. Pulling out his map, Kurt turned round figuring he might as well try and find his way there. Kurt was just walking past a corner looking at his map when suddenly he knocked into someone.
“Oh my god I’m so sorry!” A soft velvety voice said. Sitting up Kurt found himself starring into a pair of chocolate brown eyes. In all fairness, he was speechless…Suddenly instinct kicked in and he scrambled away “I’m so sorry! I didn’t see where I was going!” Kurt replied frantically,
“hey it’s okay, it was an accident” the boy said softly. He smiled “hey I’m Blaine.” He stretched out his arm to help Kurt up. Kurt brushed himself off. “I haven’t seen you around here before.” Blaine said,
“yeah I’m… new” Kurt replied in barely a whispered stutter he started walking backwards. “I’m sorry I have to go.” Kurt said. Walking off Kurt wondered why he was so scared. The boy was obviously nice. Kurt found himself outside the dean’s office. “Here goes nothing,” he mumbled to himself.
The meeting didn’t last too long and for that Kurt was thankful. Soon he found himself in his single room (thank god) laying down on his bed, his classes didn’t start until Monday which was two days away so it gave Kurt plenty of time to settle in. make some friends the dean had suggested. Yeah right, his encounter with Blaine was probably round half the school by now!
“Great start Hummel.” He muttered to himself. Slowly he drifted to sleep he would phone his dad after dinner. Right now though, he was tiered, emotionally and physically. Sighing he fell asleep.
