There he was under the lamp post where I found him almost 3 weeks ago. He was on the floor in a ball as I ran over to him.

He was unconscious and beaten to a pulp. I knelled beside him panic, "no … no , no," I muttered repeatedly as I saw the extent of his injuries.

His face was blistering from the hot coffee and he had a broken nose and his mouth bleeding. His hand looked broken and the footprints on his black shirt indicated kicking of some sort.

I bit my wrist and pressed it to his mouth forcing him to drink my blood. When I felt that he had enough, I scooped him up and ran back to the apartment. I snapped the door open and Rachel jumped startled at my speedy return until she noticed.

"Blaine!" Rachel screeched as I laid him on the couch. "What happened?"

I was shaking with rage as tears silently fell down my cheeks, "I don't know whoever did this left him for dead on the side walk." I said through clenched teeth.

I watched the scratches on his face fade slowly. "There’s so much blood," Rachel said in a daze. I looked up at her watching her eyes turn red in lust as her fangs were at full extent.

“No,” I said as she leaned forward, I threw her back and held her to the wall making her focus on me, “Get out right not Rachel, you’re losing control.” I snarled.

She let out a sob, "I'm so sorry Kurt," she turned and disappeared out the door. I returned beside Blaine. I shouldn't have let him go alone. It’s all my fault, I could have stopped this. He wouldn't be at deaths front door if I would have just gone with him. I took his cold hand and cried into the couch. Blaine began to wake up squeezing my hand first, "don't cry," he croaked.

"Oh Blaine ," I stuttered crying even more, “I’m sorry. I should have gone with you."

"You didn't know." He said in a small voice. "What did you do to me?" He suddenly asked after inspecting his body.

"I'm sorry; I gave my blood to heal you." I said.

He wiped a tear from my cheek and repeated. "Don't cry. It’s not your fault love; you didn't know." He ran his hand through my hair. He tried to sit up and winced seeing that that was a bad idea.

I wiped my face and tried to gain control, "come on, I'll take you to the room." I gently slipped my hand under his back and legs he wrapped his arms around my neck then I walked into the bedroom. I set he on the bed as gentle as possible and looked at his disheveled appearance new tears forming in my eyes as he coughed in pain.

“Kurt?” he said looking up at me worried, he opened his arms and just held me as I cried into his shoulder. He rubbed my back and comforted me, but it felt so backwards. He was the one that was hurt, he need to be held and told everything was going to be okay. not me, I needed to regain control but I couldn’t find the strength. I've never lost control like this, I was the rock, the light house, the anchor to pull Blaine to safety, yet I'm sinking like a pebble, and my light has burned out while the chains break in to pieces.

I sat up wiping away tears, "I'm okay now," I promised but Blaine didn’t look like he believed me.

"Are you sure? I've never see you cry before." Blaine said wiping the tears I missed.

"I've never seen you hurt before." I replied giving him a once over seeing that most the bruises and scratches were just about gone.

"I don’t remember what happened but I do. It was like my dreams only I felt it and when I called you didn’t come," Blaine said watching the cut on his arm heal.

"I'm so sorry Blaine, I won't leave you alone again." I said taking his hand in mine.

"It's not your fault, you couldn’t have seen it coming." Blaine said trying to reassure me but it didn’t quite work. "I feel funny, like I'm floating in tiny needles."

"That’s your body reacting to my blood, healing anything that is broken or bruised." I informed him. "You should just sleep, you will feel much much better in the morning."

"I don’t think I can, but I'll try. Can you stay with me until I fall asleep?" He sounded tired but I knew him and he wasn't going to sleep for a while.

"I'm not going to leave your side Blaine. Not now, not ever"
