Author's Notes: Double update you guys are awesome!
I couldn't breath. How did I not see the signs earlier. I fell in loved with someone I would normally kill without a second though. I didn't know what to do. I didn't know what to thing. Mom held me tight and sang into my ear as I drifted asleep dreaming of the war lands.
"Don't you dare look out your window, darling, Everything's on fire. The war outside our door keeps raging on." Mom sung as I watched Ford die and picked up my own sword to fight Quinn.
"Hold on to this lullaby, Even when the music's gone." She sung as I finished Quinn off.
Santana sat holding the babies under a tree singing softly to them, "Just close your eyes the sun is going down. You'll be alright." I turned and saw Kurt shoot and orb at Rachel knocking her to the ground.
"No one can hurt you now, Come morning light you and I'll be safe and sound." Kurt turned to me and we stared at each other for a few seconds. In those moments I dropped my sword, and he extracted the energy back inside of him.
"Just close your eyes," he sung as I walked over to him, "You'll be alright."
"Come morning light," I started holding my hand out for him to take."You and I'll be safe and sound..." I finished causing both of us to disappeared to the old fae world before the war when we all lived in perfect harmony.
I snapped awake alone in the bed, I didn't know what just happened but I was going to be late for school if I didn't hurry.
"You don't have to go today Arno," mom said from the kitchen table.
"Its fine, I'm human now, I should be going to school." I said walking out the door. I didn't feel human at all, I felt nothing. I got to school and saw Quinn with Brittany on her flank neither of them looked at me, but I felt Quinn's hate and Brittany's sorrow. I opened my locker gathered my books hoping Kurt would appear and tell me something.
Instead his friend did, she looked confused when she approached me.
"Kurt isn't going today, be he wanted me to tell you he was sorry that things were like this." She looked down then back over to me, "what happened?"
"I'd rather he told you." I said closing my locker, "thanks for passing the message though."
By the time lunch rolled around I couldn't stand being at school. I realized I only enjoyed it when Kurt was around for me to talk with. I left early heading home at first but I stopped at the river.
I stripped out of my cloths and jumped in, sinking right to the bottom. I came up slowly sighing as I thought about Ford when he lived on earth, I wondered how many river like this one he went to, finding a place for reflection is hard enough in a way but in the human world it must be harder.
"It wasn't too hard, I lived in New York, New York. Every where I went the was water. Then I moved to Michigan. The great lakes were one of the better creations grandfather made." Ford said swimming beside me.
"I'm glad you came." I said.
"Your call shook my side like an earthquake." Ford said. "What's wrong?"
"Its a long story," I sighed, "I fell in love..."
"With the Lofties boy?" Ford said, "he seems nice."
"He is. Kurt is perfect. But he's air fae," I said.
"The great great grandson of Ammon, his mother Aura, she was beautiful, I loved her." Ford said, "the night she died, I tried to save her. I gave her an option, run away with me, leave her family the earth, leave it all behind to come with me. She said she would rather die then come with me."
"I didn't know that." I said, "I don't think Kurt did either."
"I was too late in my offer, other fae attacked almost twenty minutes earlier. She thought I did it. She wanted nothing to do with me. She said she wanted to save her family, her oldest two were already showing signs and she wanted to be there for them, I told her she was just a pawn and if she went back her family would die too. She didn't take my hand, instead she fell back into the river. I came home after that, she didn't deserve to died, if I could go back I would, I wouldn't let her chose her own fate, I would take her away."
"I wish Kurt and I could run but I doubt he would. His sister must have told him everything." I looked down.
"Tell me about Kurt." Ford said, "is he the kind of guy that will run with you."
"Well. He is fiercely independent, but still lets the world lean on him, he trust me, completely and I feel the same way about him. When he looks at me my world stops and when he kisses me, Ford, his kisses are like sugar cane and he gives me butterflies when he looks at me and or when he touches me. I know I love him, we have shared energy and that was amazing." I could talk about him forever but I thought Ford had enough.
"That's how I felt about Aura, see if he will go with you. You two can run, I think once he knows the whole story he will run with you." Ford said. "I have to get back, I love you Arno."
"Love you too Ford. Thanks for the council." I watched him go back under the water but not return.
I got out a few minutes later and walked over to Kurt's house. I knew his sisters were in Cheerios practice and wont be home til later. I knocked on his door and his father a big burly man came to the door.
"Yes?"
"Is Kurt home?" I asked timidly.
"He's not feeling well but I'll tell him you stopped by." He said. I nodded my head and thanked him. I didn't want to go home, at least not to my human home. I walked out towards the creek and ripped a hole thru to the fae world walking in feeling whole again.
I smiled for the first time in a long time as nature greeted me warmly. I skipped around and even flew up in the air with joy. I was home.
"Blaine?"
