I got home at sunrise, Blaine was fast asleep but his legs were shaking as he tossed and turned. I took a quick shower to get all the dirt off me before crawling into bed with Blaine. He jumped at first for relaxing into my hold and muttering, "where have you been?"
"I'm sorry, I went to Ohio to get something for the witch. I didn't mean to be gone so long." I explained.
"Its okay." He said before turning around to face me, "I'm hungry." His whispered.
I offered my wrist to him but he put it back to my side. "Not now. You just got home, you're already exhausted. Lets just sleep for now." He put his hand on my waist and looked into my eyes.
"I love you."
"I love you too," he said, "I'm also really scared. I mean, I have two days until my ending. And what if the witch kills me and leaves Micheal."
"Don't think like that Blaine," I said but i was stuck thinging the same things. "Spend the rest of the day with Rachel and all of tomorrow you and I can be together."
"I like that idea." He said then was silent. I didn't even realize I fell asleep, until I moved and the bed was empty. I looked up and he was returning into the bedroom. I looked over to see only 2 hours had passed. "Why did you let me fall asleep?"
"I like watching you sleep. You never did it before and you hardly do it now. I was hoping you still be asleep when I returned." He said crawling into be next to me.
"Where did you go?" I asked.
He reached into his pocket and pulled out a little black velvet box, "what would you do if I told you it was a pair of earrings." He quickly said at my sudden gasp.
"Blaine seriously." I reached for the box but he pulled away.
"Wait. I know today is Rachel's so, I talked to her and she agrees we should get married first thing tomorrow morning. So now I need to propose." He said sitting up. "All my life I have searched for a reason to be happy. When I lost everything in my life you found me. I didn't know you but I trusted you. I looked at you and thought, yeah, I can grow old with him. You opened my eyes to so much, but the most important thing you taught me was how to love, and be loved in return. We have a chance at something close to normal, I've convinced myself nothing will be normal but at least with you it will be worth it." He opened the box showing me a golden ring. "Since I started out loving you in a human form. I'd like to ask for a human bond, will you marry me kurt."
I smiled, "yes. Yes I will." I said kissing him. He put the ring on my finger and hugged me.
Rachel knocked and opened the door, "I'm so excited!" She exclaimed, "come on, blaine. We have to put 4 months of planning in 4 hours. Buy me a dress and have your bachelor spa day all before the engagement party /rehearsal dinner tonight at midnight sun."
"I also made some phone calls, you are first on the list to see judge Marlowe for a marriage licence, not to mention you two have reservations for 74 hotel in Albany." Rachel said.
"Seriously, I told you an hour ago. What if Kurt said no?" Blaine said.
"I wouldn't have said no." I said at the same time Rachel said, "he wouldn't have said no."
"Can we have a few minutes to ourselves before you and I leave then. Just like 10." Blaine asked.
"Of course. Ill get my shoes." Rachel left the room closing the door behinder her.
"Still hungry?" I asked softly.
"Yeah," he replied with a grimace. I bit my wrist and gave it to him. He locked on to my wrist and relaxed as my blood satisfied his hunger. He didn't take as much this time which was good.
He licked his lips, "thank you."
"Or course. Go with bridesmaid-zilla to find the perfect dress since she is the only witness." I said. He rolled his eyes and kissed me, "I'd rather be here with you honestly."
"We have forever. one day with her, eternity with me." I said. He smiled and left to find Rachel. I lied back down, blood sharing was exhausting and I didn't want Blaine to get hooked.
He and Rachel came home a few hours later. I was in the living room with Blaine as Rachel modeled her beautiful gown. She then disappeared to her bar to plan the parties.
"I know this is your field, but I wrote a song for us to sing tonight." I told Blaine. I handed him the notebook and watched him smile as he read.
"Its beautiful." He said leaning up to kiss me. He put his hand on my cheek, "are you feeling okay? You don't look well."
"I'll be fine, I haven't fed yet." I replied.
"Oh," he said looking down.
"Don't Blaine, I'm fine. And you have nothing to do with it okay." I said raising his head to look up at me.
"Im drinking from you though," he said shyly.
"Only for a few days." I said running my fingers through his hair.
"Tell me something from your past of about vampire in general." He said.
"Okay, lets see." I said leaning back in the chair. "I'll tell you about blood, since this time next week you and I will be hunting together. I've told you about fae blood, its all around the best. And the worse tasting Is that of a shifter, or werewolf but its better for you then plain animal blood. Then humans are of course perfect kind of like the fruits and veggies and bread of the nutrition pyramid. But vampire blood is very special, makers blood heals but vampire blood in general is really good after fasting, or in my many cases being buried." I shook my head as he sighed a chuckle.
"Its also a curse to drain a vampire that spirt will follow you and drive you mad until you just want to kill yourself. I of course learn things first hand, at least you are told I had no one to talk to. Friends here and there to help me but I'll never drink from a vampire after that."
"I'd never drain you. But thanks for the heads up." Blaine said his eyes wide with wonder.
"Good enough story?" I asked.
"Yeah, that was a great story." Blaine said, "its sunset we should start getting ready."
I got up and helped Blaine. "I'll meet you at the bar, I'm going to go eat."
He nodded his head and gave me a kiss before going into the bedroom. I left hunting quickly before the engagement party. Getting home just in time to see Blaine and Rachel in close to matching outfits. I went upstairs and saw they got me an outfit as well.
I got cleaned up and went down stairs to the bar. With the exception of the werewolves, everyone in the new York covet was here. To my surprise Chandler was here as will talking Kellie, who brought Charles.
Chandler looked uncomfortably bored and Kellie was looking for me expecting me to come through the front door.
I walked behind them both, "look what the flapper dragged in."
"Thank god you're here. I thought I was stuck talking to Kellie all night, no offense darling you're just too European for me. I love it, but not now." Chandler said giving me a hug.
"That's fine, I think you're sweet but an ugly American. At least with Kurt here we have the best of both countries." Kellie said giving me a hug.
"I didn't think you guys were going to be here, hell, that you were even invited." I said looking for Rachel or Blaine.
"I have a 3 day weekend for fall break." Chandler said, "and like half the vampires I know have talked about this place. And Blaine called me, so what can I say, I like the kid."
"Same, we are only here for the night. Blaine asked us very nicely to see you. He said its been one shit of a year and you don't like baby vamps." Kellie said speaking for Charles as well.
"He's perfect, he purposed to me this morning, and after Rachel pulled some strings, we get married tomorrow, we have that day to ourselves." I said hoping he would appear.
"With that, we have wedding gifts for you." Chandler said.
"We have to wait for Blaine." Kellie said.
"Says who?" Chandler questioned thrusting a small box at me.
Blaine walked up behind me putting his hand around my waist, "says me." I smiled and kissed him gingerly.
"Congratulations, both of you." Kellie said handing Blaine a larger bag.
I opened the little box and was surprised to see a set of keys, "what is this?" I picked them up to see the Audi symbol and hear Blaine gasp.
"All the big couples are doing it you see, matching cars. But I got to thinking, where does Blaine go with out Kurt? And where would Kurt go with out Blaine. So instead of two cars I got you a audi TT roadster. Its up in a parking garage off 8th." Chandler explained. Blaine wrapped his arms around chandler faster then I thought was possible.
"Thank you," I said smiling. Blaine let him go and grinned.
"Lets open Kellies," he said setting the bag on a table. Inside there were mammogram pillow cases, towels and a set of silk pajamas for Blaine and I both.
"Kellie, this is perfect." I said to her giving her a hug.
"Excuse me, if I can have the newlyweds come to the stage." Rachel was on stage call for us.
"Shit, that's why I came over here," Blaine muttered shamming his hand to his head.
I kissed kellies cheek and took Blaine's hand walking to the stage. The bar was filled with applause as Blaine and I took the stage.
"We have known Kurt for hundreds of years," Rachel started, "and Blaine for a few months, but when we see them as a couple I see two people who have known each other for all of eternity. I can't say anything else for these two because all comments would be understatements, so I'll let them tell you the best way they know." Rachel smiled and walked of stage.
Blaine and I had too stools and Blaine picked up his guitar and began to sing.
"I don't need company
In the company of you
And I don't need love
Because your love will do."
I joined in with him harmonizing, "And I've got you
And you've got me
And that's all we need."
Blaine played the guitar as i sung, "I don't need air
I don't need to breathe
And I don't need rest
I don't have time to sleep." Blaine joined in as we looked at each other and sung together.
"Because I've got you
And you've got me
And that's all we need."
We sung each lyric back and forth, "When I get up, so do you
When you get home
I sleep right through
And on the road
I sleep alone
And I can't wait
Until I'm home."
Blaine looked at me and sung accapella, " Because I've got you. And you've got me."
I had tears in my eyes, "Yeah, I've got you
And you've got me."
"And that's all we need."
