The day dragged on being locked away in my room. Blaine however seemed very chipper, he left the house for breakfast and all morning he sung. And he rummaged around the house looking for things by lunch, singing again as the afternoon hit.
Finally I could come home, I was so eager to see his smile again I ran for the door opening and closing it to walk in on Blaine sleeping with a book on his chest.
Mine.
He flinched awake and noticed my entrance, "Hey." He said sitting up, "I must have dozed off."
"Did you have a busy day?" I asked walking over to sit beside him.
"Not really," he said. "You?"
"Never. Do you want..." his phone rang interrupting me. He smiled weakly and reached over to the table and looked at it before sending the call to voicemail.
"What were you saying?" He turned to me.
"Oh I was just wondering if..." his phone rang again. "Just answer it Blaine." I said.
He frowned and answered, "Hello, mom I'm not...," he paused suddenly getting concerned, "wait, slow down."
I listened to her crying voice. "Blaine, please I need you home with me." She repeated in a calmer voice but still sounded terrified.
"Mom, I not.."
"Please, I can't do this alone," she sobbed. Blaine stood up and walked to the kitchen to talk.
"Mother, what did you do." Blaine demanded.
"I can't tell you over the phone. Please come."
"Fine, I'm on my way." Blaine hung up his phone and returned from the kitchen.
"Everything all right?" I asked.
"No, I have to go." Blaine said looking upset. I stood up to slow him down.
"Do you need me to accompany you?" I asked.
He took my hand and smiled. "No, you don't need to get caught up in my mothers shenanigans."
"Okay then, think you'll be home for dinner?" I looked at his hand wrapped in mine.
"I'm not sure." Blaine said. "But I'll hurry." He promised.
"I'll wait for you." I said. He pulled away from me and swiftly left out the door.
My mind was cloudy as a part of me told me to follow him and the other part told me to stay away and to let him handle his mother. It was easy pacing the house for the first hour but as the second approached I had to find him. When I see him I'm going to kiss him so he really could be mine and not any other vampire.
I tracked him down to his grand house in the heart of Westerville. The front window was open and Blaine and a woman who looked exactly like Blaine sitting across from each other. I couldn't hear through the walls but Blaine's mother was crying and Blaine seemed concerned but upset. A Mercedes Benz pulled up the drive way and Blaine was to busy talking to notice. I assumed this man was Blaine's father, they had the same eyes but even then were Blaine's eyes warmed a persons soul, his father froze It.
He walked up the porch and walked in finally catching the table attention. Blaine stood up quickly as his mother rose pulling on him to go.
"What the hell are you doing in my house?" His father yelled. The color drained out of Blaine's face.
His mother stepped in front of his father. "Please leave him alone, George," she cried.
I hate this, standing immobile helpless out side while Blaine had to watch his mom get slapped out of the way.
Mine.
Do not touch what is mine, I thought as Blaine was stepping back from his father. I was about to snap through the door if that man hit him, hurt him in anyway I'd drain him dry. Blaine was saying something that gave him just enough distraction time to run around his father throwing chairs in his way making his father angrier.
Blaine got to the front door before it slammed again. Blaine screamed, "Get away from me!"
Then seconds later his father screeched in pain "you little shit!" The door opened again and Blaine was running down the Street the opposite way on my house.
I was about to follow him when his father came out bleeding, "Run! Because when I find you you're fucking dead kid!" He yelled to the darkness.
I ran after him but his trail stopped at the street. I grew panicked and hoped he just got a ride back to town. I ran home and waited anxiously for him to return.
It wasn't much longer before the front door opened and Blaine closed it panting. I ran to him and pulled him into a hug. He squeezed me back trying to calm down his breaths. I pulled back and looked at him. He was still scared, his eyes wide and full of tears ready to spill over any second.
He was okay now I need to tell him that only my mouth wouldn't speak.
I kissed him instead.
