Blaine didn’t even pay attention in the last of his classes. As soon as the bell rang he started driving to Dalton. He couldn’t believe Sebastian, he also had no idea what to say and as tempted as he was to just punch the crap out of him. He got there just in time for warblers rehearsal, walking down that familiar hall made his stomach churn.
“Blaine?” Sebastian called from down the hall. “Dude, where have you been?”
Sebastian walked over and hugged Blaine, “hey Sebastian.” Blaine said slightly pissed. “I just came to talk to you.”
“You could have called,” Sebastian said, “we are working on a 6 part harmony you must here it.” He led Blaine down the hall and everyone gasped and few stood to hug Blaine.
“Blaine Anderson.” A new kid stated standing up, “you’re warbler legend around here. I never thought I’d meet you. Please allow me to introduce myself, hunter, the new captain of the warblers.”
“Its nice to meet you.” Blaine started but his old friend Trent spoke.
“Please tell me this is you making your come back to Dalton.” Trent almost begged.
“No, I just was in the neighborhood. I really just wanted to see Sebastian.” Blaine said.
“We are almost done with Dark Side, please sing with us. We still have your blazer.” Nick said as Jeff brought it over.
"I didnt come here to sing a song." blaine started but the boys started whistling. Blaine looked at Sebastian, “if I sing with you all can we talk alone?”
“Of course.” Sebastian said holding the blazer up helping Blaine fit into it. Blaine took a breath and the boys started.(Watch) Blaine started off looking uncomfortable but after the first verse he felt at home. It took two seconds to master their uniformed two steps. And Blaine felt like himself for the first time in a year.
He watched everyone around him fall under him perfectly as if he never left. But Dalton was his dark side, he didn’t plan on coming back ever, the superiors there hate him, It didn’t even matter if the warblers still cared. Blaine ended the song and took the blazer off, “I think I’ve grown out of the blazer.” Blaine said handing it to hunter. He stepped outside and Sebastian followed after him.
“You’ve still got it tiger.” Sebastian started leaning against a wall.
“What did you do to Kurt?” Blaine asked just desperate for answers.
“Hummel? Are you getting so desperate you need a PAPA boy’s attention?” Sebastian laughed.
“Just answer the question please.” Blaine asked.
“We hooked up a few times, he liked dinner before or after I guess we dated but I didn’t take it as serious as he did.” Sebastian said.
“When?” Blaine asked.
“Why does it matter?” Sebastian replied quickly.
“I know him, and if we did anything while you two were together I’d hate myself for ever.” Blaine said.
“Sometimes I forget you were in that room on my birthday.” Sebastian laughed, “it was after.”
“And the other time?” Blaine said ashamed.
“Refresh my memory Blaine its been so long.” Sebastian said, Blaine gave him a grimace.
“That night we got snowed in at your step dads cabin,” Blaine said in a hushed voice.
“No, I didn’t meet Kurt until about a month after that.” Sebastian said, “was that really all you wanted?”
“No, we can’t talk anymore. I’m enrolled in PAPA and Kurt is the best boyfriend I have ever had. Yes, you have been here for me since freshman year but he’s in my future. And you really broke him last year. I know you he can’t be lying, I’m picking him and maybe 10 years from now you and I will be running around Ohio or new York and bump in to each other, but until then, delete my number.” Blaine said. He walked away leaving Sebastian shocked.
Blaine felt so much better knowing the truth, he couldn’t wait to tell Kurt. Only when he called Kurt sent the message straight to voice mail. Blaine didn't bother to leave a message. He got home and saw Cooper packing up some things in the garage.
“I have literally had the worst day of my life.” Blaine said sitting down.
“That’s too bad.” Cooper said slightly distracted, “why?”
“Sebastian is Kurt’s ex boyfriend and up until about an hour ago Kurt and I both thought Sebastian cheated on him with me.” Blaine said.
Cooper stopped what he was doing and looked up at Blaine, “wait, what? I didn’t even know you and Sebastian did things like that. And I knew Kurt dated Dalton boys but wow, the same one you fucked.”
“I know, and Finn and Rachel broke up today, I swear I thought it was going to be us.” Blaine said. “I know its only been 2 months but I’m falling in love with him.”
“was this before or after your trip to Dalton?” Cooper asked.
“What do you mean?” Blaine asked.
“Did you love Kurt before or after the thought of losing him?” Cooper restated his question differently.
“Both, since the first time I ever heard him I knew I was going to love him more then anything else in this world. whether that was the idea of being his lover or friend, as long as I was in his life, I’d be happy.” Blaine said sitting in one of the work benches. “Then being with him showed a new kind of love. I was upset if his voice wasn’t the last one I heard, and when I wake up he’s the first thought in my head. Then we watched Rachel and Finn break up and I thought for sure I was about to lose him forever. But I didn’t realize I loved him until I let out the breath at Dalton and knew we were safe.”
“Be sure to tell him that tomorrow then.” Cooper said.
“I couldn’t he isn’t like that. All about love and affection, its more like arm candy, and vocal or dance partner, something to cuddle at night.”
“Oh, well, Blaine you’ve got to start somewhere.” Cooper said, “I better get going.”
“Where are you going?” Blaine asked.
“They are filming a TV show in Columbus, I’m auditioning for a minor role. But its new so if I do well enough who knows, I could get the lead.” Cooper said.
“Wow!” Blaine said, “I had no idea. Break a leg. I can’t wait to hear all about it tomorrow at lunch.”
“We’ll see.” Cooper said walking to his motorcycle. Blaine walked up to his room and tried Kurt again. This time it rang twice before going to voicemail. He sent Kurt a text message every hour apologizing and begging Kurt to call him. He wanted so badly to drive to his house but Mr. Hummel was home for the rest of the month to see how the people felt about his work.
Not to mention Blaine was sure Kurt was at Rachel’s or Mercedes. Blaine couldn’t even sleep without thinking about Kurt. He kept waking up in the middle of the night having nightmares.
