“Blaine would you like to introduce yourself?” Sara Maxwell asked. She was a bit over weight but the nicest counselor at Lighthouse. Blaine was sent here after his incident earlier this week, it was better then normal man to man therapy Benson told him trying to sell him on the idea of coming today. She sold it well, but he really didn’t want to talk. Not to these strange people.
There were 6 people in the room including him. 1 being another guy. But this room was special mixed with suicide and rape victims Blaine fit right in.
“Hi everyone. I'm Blaine, I'm 16.” He paused not really knowing what to say next. “I like to write songs and perform them from my friends, and I’ve been told I'm a really good actor.” He looked between the floor and the door behind Sara. He didn’t speak so Sara took it upon herself to move on.
“Elizabeth?”
“I go by Beth, and I am a independent movie critic, I have over 4000 followers on twitter and my blog gets over 300 hits a day.” She said very proudly.
“Adam, do you feel like talking today?” Sara asked Adam who was sitting to her right.
“Not really,” he said.
“Well since we all know each other, lets start talking, who wants to start?” Sara asked. No one spoke up so Sara added, “how about we start with something easy, what are we doing this weekend?”
Danielle looked around the room, and spoke up, “I’m buying my prom dress.” Blaine looked up at the girl around his age. She had a cute pixy haircut and strawberry blond hair. She was a senior and planed to attended college for primary education.
“Oh god, I forgot about prom” Blaine said not meaning to speak up right away. But it was true, prom was in 2 weeks. He wasn’t even sure he would go. Its only junior year so he could skip it if he wants.
“Have you asked some one yet?” Danny said with a flirty tone, “it takes us girls like months to pick colors and flowers”
“I'm gay, I don’t have to worry about that stuff, and I’d just go with my best friend and her girlfriend. I do everything with them,” Blaine said looking up at her.
“Oh, well you can go to the gay prom, but I think it’s actually this weekend.” Jackie said. She was the oldest among us but her father also showered her in money.
Blaine just shook his head but Diana spoke up, “how long have you been out?”
“um, about 8th grade, so about 3 years.” Blaine said.
“I'm gay, but I never told anyone. How did you parents react?”
"I spent middle school in Italy with my mom so when I came back for my 8th grade year, she started seeing a therapist who prescribed her some pills to make her feel better, but soon those pills became her life. I told her that I was gay summer before freshman year, she told me I was silly and sent me to my room. 9th grade I meant this guy and I told her I liked him, but she wasn’t really there. She told me to show him how we Italians dance. I went to the Sadie Hawkins dance with him where I got beat up for being who I am. She came and got me, and she cried and was scared I would die, it sent her into this panic, I moved to a charter school very small. And she disappeared, I mean physically she was there but her mind was gone."
"What about your father, how did he react to coming out?"
"Well he was upset and told me not to say that out loud. Didn’t talk to me for a week. Then he told me to pack a bag, we went to some campsites in Vermont spent a whole week, rock climbing, canoeing, fishing, just camping. Then we came back and he taught me all about football, we had a fantasy football team. We rebuilt a car from the ground up, he told me it was my birthday present, though he didn’t recommend driving in New York. We sat in the car and after these amazing 2 weeks I though that he accepted me. But he asked if I still liked guys. And I was so hurt I couldn’t believe that this time together was just to make straight. I just shrugged. I didn’t want it all to end. I am an only child with a workaholic father and an addict mother. The summer was the worst time for me. I just didn’t want it to end so I told him I think but I wasn’t sure. He went back to work but we spent the weekends going to baseball games, but as freshman year started I was still gay I just never told him. I didn’t tell him about Sadie Hawkins he didn’t even come to the hospital, we stopped talking again." Blaine shrugged wrapped his arm around his midsection.
“I'm sorry to hear that,” Danny said.
“That’s what I'm afraid of, my parents are super Christians I don’t want to be through out of my house. So I just keep to myself.” Dianna said.
“I don’t know what my parents would do if my parents stop talking to me.” Jackie said thinking for a second.
“What is this The Breakfast Club?” Adam said, Blaine snorted and hid his smile.
“Katy, you haven’t said anything,” Sara ignored Adam’s comment.
“I’m getting a new book this weekend. Well an entire series. The Hunger Games, its this dramatic novel about rebellion and love and sacrifice.” Kate said with a sparkle in her eye. She truly loved books.
“That sounds interesting.” Danny said kinda sarcastically. “I though you were going to step out of your comfort zone this month.”
Danny, Adam, Katy, and Beth have been in the group together before all for attempted suicide. Diana and Jackie are new they came to the group for the rape members. All of them were put together to make Blaine feel better. Dr. Wong suggested Blaine go to group therapy for 3 weeks twice a week. And it would make a big difference in his attitude.
“I thought I was too, but there’s lots a great books that came out this month, and I'm really into the whole end of the world stories. I mean I still keep a vampire novel close by.” Katy began to play with her hair.
“I don’t like reading.” Jackie stated getting a heavy sigh from Adam.
“I don’t read much other then reviews, or movie subtitles.” Beth spoke also pondering Katy’s comment.
“Blaine, why did you live in Italy?” Diana said, Blaine didn’t notice but Diana sat and watched him. “What’s it like there, I’ve always wanted to go Europe.”
“My parents split and my mom is Italian, and she took me up there to live with my nonna, I was pretty young though, I don’t remember much,” Blaine sat at the edge of the seat, he had been to therapy several time. But this was different, he felt weird, like everything was crumbling down.
“I lived in Paris all summer.” Jackie said. “It was beautiful, I misses it there, it was the happiest I've every been. Just me and daddy’s credit card. I love shopping. But lately I feel like its becoming more and more of an addiction then a hobbies.”
“oh my god, and addiction is not spending money, its drugs sex, alcohol.” Adam said.
“No, last night on My Strange Addiction, this girl was addicted to eating plastic.” Diana said defending Jackie.
“that’s not an addiction either, that’s a personal problem, and she should be in more therapy then we are. "
“What about love, is that an addiction?” Danny asked.
“Only if it hurts you In the end,” Blaine mumbled.
“What’s that suppose to mean Blaine?” Diana said.
“Well if your love for some one is healthy then its not an addiction, but if the love you have for some one is taking over your life then your addicted.” Blaine clarified.
“That’s true, an addict is some one who is depended on something or in this case some one. I just read this book that this girl fell in love with her teacher and it started off a something sweet and simple but quickly turned into the crazy murder mystery that involved the teachers wife and the girl changing her self for him. She became addicted to him. It was hard to put down. I read right though the night school was so hard the next day.” Kate said.
“You know what, lets take a little break, there are tons of refreshments behind Blaine. We will pick back up in 10 minutes.” Sara said patting her leg. Everyone stood up and walked to the back of the room.
Blaine stood next to the punch bowl wishing he hadn’t destroyed both of his phones in a week. He was dead bored; no one really talked to each other. Diana walked over to him and got a cup of lemonade.
“So, no point in lying to each other, right, were in therapy, I'll spill my guts if you spill yours.” She said not looking at him til she finished speaking.
“I'm not really into sharing.” Blaine said looking at the blonde. She was wearing lots of eye makeup and her hair was chopped all to fit around her face perfectly.
“You're in group therapy, you’re going to have to share eventually.” She informed him walking behind him to lean on a wall. He turned to face her.
“Well then you go first.” Blaine said.
“I'm the pretty girl, the prom queen, daddies little girl. Do you know what marital rape is? When the husband just says they can do it because it’s the wife marital duty to have sex with them. That’s what happened to me. My boyfriend told me lies and made me do things I didn’t really want to. Then I got pregnant and he told me to go get an abortion. But he also stopped talking to me. And one day there was 200 dollars in my locker and a address. So I when got the abortion got really sick and my parents found out. And they sent me here.” She said rubbing her abdomen aimlessly.
“My boyfriend’s room mate raped me, because he was jealous. Some of the detectives on the case though that I should defiantly get some help to cope with everything, but I don’t really need help. I like to keep to myself.”
“You must have an outlet then. Your music right.”
“Yeah, it helps to get out some of the hurt,” Blaine turned back towards the table and saw Adam staring at Diana.
“Your probably here for the social thing. I don’t know if you’ve noticed but none of us really have friends. Maybe Danny, but even then, we come here to make friends, and to talk with people who have been though the same things we have. Or at least that’s what the brochure said.”
“I've got tons of friends.” Blaine looked behind to speak, “In all groups, I'm living with the head cheerleader, and the football players are some of my closest friends. Not to mention I was lead in the fall musical West Side Story. I win choir competitions, and I perform at amusement parts and carnivals year round. I'm here because I have gone though more therapy that doesn't ever work so they though I should try something new.” He turns to face her head on and gets close and in a quite voice he adds “All so I wont find pleasure cutting my arm up.” Diana looks at his arm and instead of flipping out like most people who saw she pulled hers up and showed him her fresh scars.
"See your around people who know what its like. Stop being closed off Blaine, this sounds bad, but I'm glad you’re here, because at least maybe, if we became friends I would have some one who understood me just a little.” She rolled her sleeve back down and walked away from Blaine."

“How was it?” Detective Benson asked as Blaine got into her car.
“Different, but nice I guess.” Blaine said looking at Diana as she lit a cigarette and waited for her parents.
“Are you ready for tomorrow?” she asked as the drove towards Santana's home.
“Not really, but I just want it to be over.” Blaine said looking at the detective, “thanks for taking me home, Santana is at nationals with the cheer team.”
"It's not a problem Blaine,” Benson said giving him a warm smile. She pulled up to Santana’s home.
“Do you need me to pick you up tomorrow?”
“No, Santana is coming with me. See ya.” Blaine waved and left inside the house.

“I’d like to call Blaine Anderson to the stand.” Albert James Nathan's defense lawyer said. Blaine let go of Santana's hand and walked to the stand. The bailiff put him under oath and James asked him a few questions for the jury.
"What is your association to my client?" he asked.
Blaine tried hard not to look at Nathan, "I thought he was my friend, but a better word would have to be an acquaintance." Blaine looked down at his hands. The handcuff marks still visible on his wrist.
"Why do you say he is just an acquaintance now?"
"He told me we weren't friends a few weeks ago. and to stay away from him," murmurs broke out between the court, but didn’t last long. James changed his game plan a bit, he didn’t expect that answer.
"would you say that Nathan was threatening you?"
"I assumed it was just in the heat of the moment. I didn’t think he meant it."
“Blaine, why don't you tell us what you were doing in Nathan's apt at the time."
"I was spending the night with Andrew. " Blaine said hesitantly.
"Andrew is Nathans room mate, and your boyfriend, correct" at Blaine's yes he continued. "Andrew is six years older then you, why would you continue something like that if you know it would only hurt Andrew in the end?"
"Objections irrelevant question" Novak stood.
"Over ruled, please answer the question son." The judge stated.
Blaine took a deep breath, "I don’t know, I wasn’t thinking about his age when we met. or when I started to fall in love with him."
"No further questions your honor," James said returning back to his table.
"Novak?" the judge says.
"The People have no questions for Mr. Anderson." Novak said. Blaine was eager to get out of the spot light and off the bench. He walked back towards Santana and took her seat clasping her hand tightly.

Kurt walked the halls of school searching for Blaine all afternoon since he disappeared after the math class they shared together before lunch. it was now time for glee practice and Blaine was no where to be found. Kurt ventured to the library, the only place in the whole school he hadn't looked. Kurt walked around the fiction section then checked the computers then lastly he looked by the fiction books. There Blaine sat on the floor with a pile of books beside him. Kurt took cautious steps towards Blaine, but Blaine's eyes shot up before Kurt was even close enough to say something.
"Hey," Kurt said taking two long strides to sit next to Blaine.
"Hi" Blaine closes his book and looks at Kurt.
"What were you reading?" Kurt asked. Blaine lifted the book "Teen Rape" in the air to show Kurt. Kurt's face fell a little bit.
"I never thought about reading things like this I stick to my fiction novels and silly romance books." Blaine says but then shows Kurt the other books he was reading through. Gay Youth. Depression. Divorced. Self Harm. Suicide.
"Oh Blaine," Kurt said.
"Who knew I was a case study all this time." Blaine said.
"But you're not a case study Blaine, you are so much more then that." Kurt stands up and takes Blaine's hand. Blaine hesitantly rises and walks around the library to another section. "This is who you are. Where you belong. You’re a musician. I don’t care what some therapist says or what some judge classifies you under. This is what I see, every time you touch the keyboard or pick up a guitar. I just wait to see your name on the cover of one of these books. I mean it. I believe in you, because I love you. I always have always will."
Blaine looks at Kurt, his eyes wide and teary then wraps Kurt in a tight hug. "I love you too. I was so stupid to not see it before."

Benson sits at her computer filing out paperwork on her case. Blaine walks in with Santana beside him. Benson stood up to meet the teens.
"Hey guys is everything alright?" she asks.
"Its great thank you. I actually came over to invite you to our Benefit Concert to help raise money for nationals in 3 week." Blaine says handing Olivia a program.
"We have to pay for hair spray some way." Santana joked.
"Its this Saturday, if your busy I totally understand," Blaine said.
"I believe I am free Saturday. I can not wait to see you preform." Olivia said. Blaine leaned into to give her a hug.
"Thank you for everything. You really saved my life." Blaine said.
