Author's Notes: Santana character development! Yay!
I stared at the rain until nightfall, by then I thought a nice warm bath, to wash away the days events, would feel amazing. Just as I lowered myself into the tub nostalgia kicked in. There was nothing I could do without thinking of Blaine.

When the rolls were reversed I thought he'd move on but, I see now my request was stupid.

I had the power to turn off my feelings and live spontaneously like Sebastian. I'd be able to get through this whole ordeal with Sebastian if I turn off my feelings.

I stuck my head under the water and decided, when I get out I wont worry about Blaine. I will rise a New Kurt, one who doesn’t cry anytime I'm reminded of something Blaine loves.

"So is the Phoenix a real bird?" Blaine asked.

"A what?" I stared at him confused.

"You never read Harry Potter?" I shook my head no, "I know what I'm getting you for your birthday then. The Phoenix is an immortal bird that bust into flames and from the ashes it is reborn."

"Yeah those don’t exist," I laughed.

I lifted my head slowly out to my new world and lifestyle.

I walked around in a big fluffy robe ordering room service and drinking the wine from the fridge. There was a knock on my door and I thought room service was faster then usual.

"Sir, its Santana," she said before walking in. She had on a short blue stripped tube top dress and a black half jacket.

"I thought you were going out?" I said taking a sip of wine.

"I was but the party got cancelled. Birthday boy was sick." She said pushing some loose hairs behind her ear. I walked to the window and looked out over the twinkling night life.

"That's too bad," I said.

"Can I get you anything?"

"A stake." I shrugged.

"Rare or well done?" She asked.

I laughed at her, "that was a joke," I said making the stake to heart jester.

She smiled at me, "you're funnier then Sebastian's usual monthly flings."

"I'll be around more then an month with him. You see, 441 years ago we fell in love and he killed my maker so I killed his family. I've been running since."

"Just to be caught and find out the twink still wants you." She covered her mouth, "I'm sorry I shouldn't have said that."

I laughed and shook my head, "Don’t worry about it, I know I gave you the night off but, do you mind staying here and talking for a while?"

"Of course," she sat down on the chase, "So if you have been hiding from Sebastian for the last 441 years, how old are you?"

"450, I've pretty much been running all my life, It was so strange to hear that he actually wanted to be with me rather then kill me." I said shrugging pouring another glass of wine, "What about you? Been working for the devil a long time?"

"Since I was 16. Sebastian's treats year of service like currency. After all the price of the human life is constant. My family owes him 30 years. My dad did 6 before he died." Santana crossed her legs and shrugged.

"So I've got you for what 22 years?" I asked, she nodded her head, "Well I don’t like what Sebastian does with werewolves, in fact I kinda hate werewolves with every fiber of my being."

"I'm not a werewolf." she interjected. "That’s why Sebastian hates me, I refuse to kill someone to kick start the gene."

"He's told me," I said, "anyway, you are free to do what ever you want when ever you want, I will cover for you if Sebastian questions it."

"Really?" she said not believing me.

"Really, its not because I'm nice, its because I hate him and one day, I will kill him. I just have to gain his trust again."

"I'd love to help with this murder scheme. Hell I'm sure more then half the werewolves that work for him will help too." Santana laughed.

"You're not bad kid, glass of wine?" I offered pouring the red liquid into a second glass. The door opened as room serves entered with the Char grilled Filet Mignon I ordered. "That smells wonderful, can you send up another for the girl along with another bottle of this 2005 Bodegas." I asked with a smile.

The server bowed and left the room, "What exactly is that?" Santana asked.

I shrugged, "It was the most expensive thing on the menu. and the wine is from Spain," I gave her a glass, "Here to an expensive hotel room service bill," I smiled, she shook her head and laughed clinking her glass with mine.

End Notes: Is Santana a keeper?

Yay for Santana! I'm still coming up with wild theories as to how Blaine could have survived... He just passed out, The werewolves turned him into one of them, Rachel found him and turned him into a vampire... ARGH. HE CANNOT BE DEAD.
