Author's Notes: So With the site down it gave me time to write more, i have about 8 chapters written but Im only uploading 2 a day, i like being a head.
Within the week Blaine did everything to try and bite properly but every night he lost control. Rachel didn't do or say anything about it she did all she could to keep him distracted. They played all day and Rachel taught him how the maker bond worked which was something I never knew so I learned as well.
At any given time Rachel could call Blaine through the bond, just like a pager works, he would know he had to check in. She could also command him to do things but she promised not to do that. She knew when he was in distress and he would be able to feel her emotions as well.
I thought it was all fascinating especially the part about Rachel's blood being able to heal Blaine if he were injured and wasn't healing properly.
I had called Chandler several times trying to see if he'd get Blaine a sun ring but his phone would go to a voice mail that stated he was on vacation.
The day stared with a bang as Quinn came over around noon to talk to Blaine.
"Quinn, I told you can't see Blaine," Rachel's voice rushed down the hall as Quinn opened the door interrupting Blaine's and his attempts to teach me how to play guitar.
I had never seen Quinn this upset, she had been crying and clothes were a mess along with hair she didn't even have make up on. Blaine got out of bed and rushed to her ignoring mine and Rachel's protest.
"What is it Quinn?" He asked as she started crying again.
"Lydia." She stammered, "your mom is in the hospital." Blaine looked like he had no idea what she just said then like a ton of bricks it hit him.
"What happened?" He asked tears welting in his eyes.
"I don't know last night I went over to borrow a recipe then when I got there the door was open and she was passed out on the floor beaten to a pulp. I've been at the hospital since." She cried. Rachel quickly stepped in and took Quinn in her arms as Blaine just stood there silently weeping.
"Blaine," I said softly taking his hand. He didn't respond, he didn't even take my hand back. Quinn looked up at us her lip quivered as she let go of Rachel and turned to give Blaine a hug.
"Oh Blaine, I'm so scare." She cried. Blaine pulled away from her and me walking out the door and into the living room. Rachel looked at me before walking into the living room. Quinn started crying harder so I tried to comfort her which looked about as appropriate as a dog comforting pigs but she appreciated it.
I sat her down on the bed and retrieved tissues handing her several. She cleaned herself up enough to speak so I asked, "what's going on with Lydia?"
"I think there was a robbery, the door was wide open and she was battered and bloody. The hospital is keeping her for a few days since see had a minor concussion. She as no one out here, her family live in California. And there were so many questions I didn't know and she was sedated so I came to get Blaine." She said sniffling and wiping away tears. She had no idea what was really going on in that house.
"Blaine can't go to the hospital Quinn." I said unsure how to explain.
She scrunched her face at me, "he has to. That is his mother!"
"Relax Quinn." I started as she grew upset.
"No, what are you doing to Blaine? You and Rachel says he sick maybe he needs to be in the hospital. What does he have that stops him from seeing his friend?"
"Go home Quinn," Blaine said from the door.
She looked between me and him, "what is going on with you Blaine? What do you have?"
"I told you to get out of my house, I never want to see you again." Blaine said raising his voice. "Now Quinn!" He shouted when she didn't move. I had never seen him so angry. She started crying again and stormed out of the apartment the door falling shut on its own.
"Blaine," I said in a soft warning voice. He shut his eyes and took a deep breath.
"I just want to be alone right now." He said hold back his anger and tears.
"Okay." I said walking out of the room shutting the door softly. As the door hit the frame I heard him choke out a sob. I bit my lip holding back my own sadness. He shouldn't have to deal with those thing anymore, his parents were his old world something he never had to worry about. What could I do? I could stand the sounds of his cries so I went into the living room and saw Rachel with her face buried in her hands.
"Rach," I spoke my voice straining to sound collected. She didn't bother to look up at me instead she just held her hand out. Blaine shared a memory and I had to see it.
