Author's Notes:

chapter three will be up tomorrow my lovely viewers, thank you for reading!

Kurts footsteps echoed out in the empty hallways as he barged down them angrily without looking back once, or actually even knowing where he was heading. All he knew was that he wasnt male enough to play Tony, he was bubbling up with rage at how disgusted he was at himself. Kurt hadnt felt this much hatred towards himself since he thought Blaine was singing "When I Get You Alone" to him, that day had probably ended in less heartache though.

His bestfriend, friend, guidance counselor and football coach had all laughed at Kurt right to his face because he wasnt "manly enough" to play the role of Tony in West Side Story. Kurt had never needed anything so bad in his life before and he just wasnt good enough for it. NYADA was never going to accept him now - there was no career path he could lead onto now, there was no second options. Kurt had put all his life into trying to get into NYADA since he and Rachel had heard about it and with one swoop it was completely taken away from him.

Luckily Kurt had on the outfit he was previously wearing to school underneath the Romeo costume, so as he finally knew what he wanted to do - He started to run to try and find Blaine, whilst yanking the costume off his body with trembling fingers. Doosh, was the sound that rung through the halls as Kurt slammed the stupid hat that was slouched on his head against a locker, completely messing up his hair.

Hearing footsteps and Kurts name being called behind himself forced him to run even faster because it was Rachels voice and there was no way he was going to be talking to her for the rest of the day. Or year.

"Kurt, please stop running away from me! Im sorry!" Rachel shouted down the hallway, heels clicking behind her.

Kurt needed Blaine more than he needed air, so he continued to hastily run in the direction of the Library, where Blaine had lunch everyday on that slouchy ugly bean bag he would sink into and almost fall asleep, and falling asleep in his boyfriends arms sounded like the best thing to do right now.

Barging into the Library as fast as his legs took him, Kurt stopped to look around for his curly haired mop of a boyfriend. Finally spotting Blaine, Kurt gingerly walked over to him, wiping his eyes on the crumpled edge of his sleeve. "Blaine.." Bloodshed eyes and a blank space was all said boy needed to see before he was running over to Kurt and cupping the back of his neck, bringing him into a tight embrace.

"Baby," Blaine spoke, rubbing at the back of Kurts hair. "Baby, whats happening?"

Not being able to come up a coherent sentence, Kurt saved Blaine from trying to guess the slurred mumbles that would come from his lips so he just hugged him harder - squeezing like his life depended on it.

Rachel followed fast behind, trotting in like an apologetic elf that was completely out of breath. "Kurt, Kurt come on!" She said breathing harshly, locking eyes with Blaine and immediately glancing away from feeling intimidated by him.

"Why dont you just upfront tell me Im not good enough? Before letting me go through the most humiliating 10 minutes of my life!" Kurt screamed into Blaines neck, then proceeded to wrap his arms tighter around the smaller boy and relish in the comforting smell that was Blaine.

"Of course youre good enough! Obviously, not as good as me, but youre a star Kurt! Please believe me!" Rachel spurred out stupidly, not actually listening to the words that came out of her forever moving mouth.

Blaine stopped them both completely in their tracks and hoisted Kurt up enough so he could easily lift him, then moved him to that ugly bean bag in the corner. Blaine turned around swiftly to Rachel, then spat out a remark. "I dont care if youre my friend, no one makes Kurt cry. So whilst I stay here picking up the pieces of whatever damage youve done - youre just going to walk away and think about how youre going to fix this."

With that, Rachel strutted back out of the room huffing to herself and muttering curse words under her breath. Blaine shook his head dramatically and helped his boyfriend get comfortable on the bean bag, moving so Kurt could sit on Blaines lap with his head on Blaines chest.

"Tell me what happened later, were skipping third period to stay here, okay?" Blaine whispered into Kurts wispy hair, stroking his fingers through it gently, comfortingly.

All Kurt could do is nod and snuggle down into his boyfriends chest, breath puffing against his chin. "I love you." Kurt whispered, because Blaine knew exactly how to calm him down without even doing anything remotely to him.

"I love you, my prince." Blaine replied, using his fingers to gently mark on Kurts head where a silhouette of an invisible crown would sit. One day.
