When Kurt wakes the next morning, Blaine isn’t anywhere to be found. Well, okay, ‘wakes’ should be a term used loosely in this instance considering he barely got any fucking sleep at all thanks to that fantastic text message last night.
Or maybe it wasn’t fantastic.
Was it?
Fuck.
Probably not. This should not be happening. It shouldn’t. He was with Brandon, Blaine was with Thomas.
And what the fuck did that text message mean, anyway? ‘You’re gorgeous when you come.’ Well thanks a fucking lot, that’s really helpful, Blaine Anderson.
Kurt climbs out of bed, purposefully ignoring his insistent erection.
“Screw you,” Kurt mumbles to his dick, padding to the bathroom.
Ugh, he’s never going to be able to come into this bathroom without imagining Blaine’s eyes reflected in that god damn mirror.
“Are you going to the party tonight?”
Kurt jumps so high at Blaine’s voice in the corridor that he almost drops the books in his arms.
“What – what?”
“The party,” Blaine reminds him, an unfamiliar gleam in his eyes. “The one in the senior commons?”
“Oh. Party. Yes. The one they were talking about last week?”
“Mhmm. Free booze.”
“Just what I need,” Kurt remarks under his breath.
“Huh?”
“Nothing. Yeah, I’ll be there. Are we supposed to bring dates or what?”
“Nope. Just us Warblers. We’re supposed to meet in the commons at eleven tonight, after all the teachers are gone and the academic buildings are locked,” Blaine says.
“…If the buildings are locked, how exactly are we supposed to have a party in the senior commons?”
“Never underestimate your Warbler brothers,” Blaine says with a wink. “See you there.”
And then he walks away, leaving Kurt bereft and immobile in the corridor before he remembers he’s supposed to be heading to class.
As Kurt makes his way through the winding hallways of the academic building later that night, he can already hear music thumping.
“Don’t get wasted, don’t get wasted,” he keeps telling himself.
The party is already in full swing when Kurt pushes the doors open to the commons.
“Kurt, you’re here!” Jeff shouts, racing over to him, the liquid in his blue cup sloshing over the sides.
“No red cups?” Kurt asks.
“I suggested it, but the council was adamant about the blue ones,” comes another voice from behind him. “You’re late, you know.”
“It’s only eleven fifteen,” Kurt says.
“Jeff’s already on his third drink,” Blaine points out, gesturing to the blonde who had turned back to the rest of the boys.
“Did no one warn him about alcohol poisoning?”
“We’ll stop him after five. Come on, I’ll make you a drink,” Blaine says ushering him over the table where the council usually sits and where Wes usually bangs his gavel.
“Please don’t drug me.”
“Wouldn’t dream of it,” Blaine says, though his voice seems to drop an octave as he says it.
Kurt swallows around the sudden lump in his throat and forces himself to stop staring at Blaine’s ass in those distractingly tight blue jeans.
“What’ll it be?” Blaine asks over his shoulder as he digs a plastic blue cup into a bucket of ice.
“Um, just whatever.”
“Rum and Coke, then?”
“Sure,” Kurt nods, entranced by the veins in Blaine’s arm as he lifts a large bottle of rum.
This is just not going to end well, Kurt thinks as he accepts his mixed drink.
The two turn and lean against the table, sipping slowly as they watch the other Warblers around them. There’s a silence between them and Kurt doesn’t exactly know how to interpret it. Blaine is standing really close to him. Really, really close. He feels Blaine’s arm brush against his elbow and the temperature in the room suddenly soars to like, a billion degrees.
He drains his drink.
Blaine, without a word, makes him another.
“So,” Kurt pauses to clear his throat, “how did we come by the alcohol anyway?”
“Someone’s older brother,” Blaine shrugs.
Jeff prances up to them with a huge smile on his face.
“Why aren’t you dancing with us? You should dance, come on!”
Kurt chances a look at Blaine, who shrugs, finishes off his first drink, and sets his cup down on the table. Kurt takes a few more gulps, for courage, he thinks, and put his cup down too.
“Come on, I love this song!” Jeff squeals, dragging them both into the small group of boys in the center of the room.
The couches and tables had been pushed aside and every single of the Warblers seem to have squeezed themselves onto the rug in the middle of the room. They’re all pressed tight together as the beat fills the commons.
Ooh, rain be pourin’ down
Everyday my mind is cloudy
Got enough tears to fill the sea
You say that I’m a drag
Tell me I’ve been lookin’ sad
And nobody wants to party with me
And it’s because of you
The shitty things you do
The low ways that you treat me
Eh, endlessly
Kurt’s surprised he’s never heard the song, but it’s pretty easy to dance to so he lets the bit of alcohol cloud his brain and jumps and moves his hips along with everyone else.
I was gonna leave you 'til you kissed it, kissed it
I wanted to leave you, then you kissed it, kissed it
I was gonna leave you, then you dipped it, dipped it
Baby you fixed it, fixed it, when you kissed it, kissed it
I don't wanna fight baby
Kiss it, kissed it, 'cause I miss it, missed it
Make it alright, alright
Boy you light a fire in me
Blaine takes his hands, swinging them back and forth and then he pulls Kurt close to him. He’s got his hand on Kurt’s waist and leads him in laughable parody of a two step amidst the writhing group of boys. Blaine laughs and it’s infectious so Kurt laughs too because this is far too much fun and Blaine smells a bit like rum but more like his cologne with a bit of sweat mixed in. Blaine twirls him and drags him closer so that Kurt’s back is flush with Blaine’s front.
And then Nick and Jeff appear in the small crowd and begin to bounce their asses up and down against both of Kurt’s thighs. He reaches behind him to grab onto Blaine’s hips in case he starts to fall over. Kurt’s laughing so hard that he begins to cry when they start to sing along with the song.
Now let me hear you all you hot boys
Ya bring me down, you bring me up
It's alright, it’s alright, 'cause it's a love thing
Yeah, it's a long thing
One more time, love thing
Now alright, alright
Now all you ladies with a hot boy
They bring you down, they build you up
It's alright, it’s alright, 'cause it's a love thing
Say, love thing
Say, love thing
Kurt smacks their butts repeatedly as the boys bump against him and he can feel Blaine laughing hysterically behind him as the song plays on. He’s got his hands over Kurt’s, which still hold onto Blaine’s hips even as Nick and Jeff move away to molest Wes and David.
“Glad you came?” Blaine shouts into Kurt’s ear.
“You have no idea,” Kurt replies, leaning his head back against Blaine’s shoulder to be heard over the music.
“Thirsty?” Blaine asks, pulling Kurt’s ass closer to him.
“Mmm, yes please.”
Blaine chuckles but then his warmth is gone as he disappears to make himself a new drink and retrieve Kurt’s. Another song begins to play and Wes starts to crack up when David jumps into the middle of the group and…sort of break dances. It isn’t really break dancing because he can’t dance for shit.
Well hail Caesar, shadow in my backseat
And her friends are standing right in front of me
Worldwide from the Cimarron to Turkey
Open up said everybody loves me
“Just because you’re black doesn’t mean you can break dance, home boy!” Blaine shouts when he returns with their drinks, handing Kurt his cup.
“Fuck you, Anderson!” David calls back to a chorus of laughter as he continues to dance.
“He’s got a nice ass, though,” Kurt points out, gulping down his drink.
“Eh,” Blaine shrugs, “yours is better.”
“Oh really?” Kurt teases.
“Definitely,” Blaine grins.
Oh my!
Feels just like I don't try
Looks so good I might die
All I know is everybody loves me
Head down
Swaying to my own sound
Flashes in my face now
All I know is everybody loves me
Everybody loves me
David seems to accept the fact that his attempt at dancing just isn’t working and backs out of the circle. Blaine snatches Kurt’s drink from his hand and shoves him forward.
“Your turn!”
“What-”
“Show us what you’ve got, Kurt!” Trent shouts from somewhere in the circle.
“Please do,” Blaine says with a deep voice and a spark in his eyes.
Kurt cocks and eyebrow at the challenge and says, “Fine. I will.”
He steps forward and begins to rock his hips, arms above his head.
Well I
Pray the music don't stop till I turn gray
Stars forever like John Sousa, never fade
He had a beautiful child, named her Désirée
Hope I'm remembered for the things that I never made
The boys catcall but Kurt only has eyes for Blaine, who clearly only has eyes for Kurt and stands, enthralled by the way Kurt can move his hips. The chorus comes around and Kurt plays this all to his advantage.
Make you say oh my!
Feels just like I don't try
Looks so good I might die
Kurt slides his hands down his sides and back up his thighs.
All I know is everybody loves me
Head down
Swaying to my own sound
Flashes in my face now
All I know is everybody loves me
Everybody loves me
He skips over to Blaine, alcohol keeping him warm and uninhibited, and places his palm flat on Blaine’s chest. Blaine spreads his arms, cup in each hand, to allow Kurt better access. Kurt trails his palm down over his chest, down, down, over his stomach, and slips a finger through one of Blaine’s belt loops to tug him closer. Kurt rolls his hips just a bit, sure to not push Blaine away and then he turns, ass pressing against Blaine’s suddenly half-hard dick through his jeans, and bends over.
The song ends.
The group applauds. Kurt stands back up and faces Blaine.
“Thanks for holding my drink,” Kurt teases, reaching out and prying his drink from Blaine’s hand.
He saunters away and leaves Blaine standing there alone as the rest of the boys shove past to dance to the next song.
“Whoa, wait!” Blaine shouts when he finally regains his senses. He rushes after Kurt, who finishes off his drink and Blaine makes to pour him another one. “Where’d you learn to dance like that?”
“I was a cheerleader for a while,” Kurt informs him, leaning against the table as Blaine mixes his drink.
Blaine almost drops the bottle of Coke. “Oh?”
“It was a brief, insane period of time.”
“Ah. You never told me that.”
“Never came up.”
“So…a cheerleader. Does that mean…I mean are you-”
“Flexible?”
Kurt sees Blaine’s Adam’s apple bob as he swallows. “Yeah.”
“Probably more than most men.”
Blaine stares, wide-eyed, and Kurt snatches his drink off the table.
“It does come in handy when I’m getting fucked,” Kurt remarks, sipping delicately from his plastic blue cup. “You should get a refill.”
He walks away to join the others on the “dance rug”. As he laughs and bounces to the beat of the song, occasionally taking another drink, Kurt has to wonder where this sudden need to drive Blaine batshit crazy came from. Since he had found out about Blaine and Thomas, Kurt had to force himself to refrain from flirting. Sure, sometimes he slips up. It’s hard to not flirt with Blaine. But he’s never actively done this before, never instigated sexual tension, never purposefully walked away leaving Blaine half hard.
He takes a long drink and another song starts to play.
How dare you say that my behavior’s unacceptable
How condescending, unnecessarily critical
I have the tendency of getting very physical
So watch your step
Cause if I do
You’ll need a miracle
You drain me dry and make me wonder why I'm even here
This double vision I was seeing is finally clear
You want to stay but you know very well I want you gone
Not fit to fuckin' tread the ground that I am walking on
Some takes his almost empty cup and sets it aside before a pair of arms slide around his waist.
“Dance with me.”
Kurt can’t say no when Blaine’s voice is that deep, that gravelly, and so hot in his ear.
When it gets cold outside and you got nobody to love
You'll understand what I mean when I say
There's no way we're gonna give up
And like a little girl cries in the face of a monster that lives in her dreams
Is there anyone out there 'cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe
Is there anyone out there 'cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe
They move together, bodies flush and warm with the spirits that rush through their veins. Kurt slips his arm behind his head to clutch at Blaine’s neck. Blaine responds in kind and trails one hand up to settle firmly on Kurt’s chest while the other slithers up under Kurt’s shirt to stroke just above his jeans.
What you are doing is screwing things up inside my head
You should know better you never listened to a word I said
Clutching your pillow and writhing in a naked sweat
Hoping somebody someday will do you like I did
“I wasn’t lying,” Blaine breathe into the crook of Kurt’s neck. “You really are gorgeous when you come.”
Kurt moans softly, letting his eyes fall shut.
Blaine pulls Kurt’s ass closer to his dick as the chorus repeats itself, music and lyrics burning into Kurt’s over heated, over sensitized skin. During the short instrumental break, Blaine spins him around unexpectedly. His hands roam as they sway, palms pressing against Kurt’s chest, gliding up to caress his shoulders, down to drag across his back.
Does it kill
Does it burn
Is it painful to learn
That it's me that has all the control
Does it thrill
Does it sting
When you feel what I bring
And you wish that you had me to hold
He grabs Kurt’s ass, unashamed, with both hands. He squeezes and Kurt’s forehead falls against Blaine’s. Kurt rests his arms loosely around Blaine’s shoulders as their hips collide.
Is there anyone out there 'cause it's getting harder and harder to breathe
The song is over and they’re stuck like that, plastered together like two pieces of a whole and they can’t move.
“I wanna fuck you,” Blaine whispers heavily between them.
“You two look cozy,” Nick remarks in passing.
Reality hits them hard. They’re still in the senior commons, crowded by a dozen other teenage boys and the song changes to ‘I’m Not Your Boyfriend, Baby’ by 3OH!3 and wow what the fuck was the universe trying to tell them?
“I’m gonna find my drink,” Kurt mumbles.
“Yeah. Me too.”
They part.
