Author's Notes: I'm sorry this took so long, I'm taking finals right now so I have to try to make time to write between german history and integral calculus. For this chapter, keep in mind I'm not spanish not do I speak more than two words of it, so the Spanish that's going to be used is translated with Google Translator. if any of you want to correct it, I'd be more than happy to change it later. Two more chapters and the Epilogue to go!
Kurt doesn’t think he has ever gotten dressed so quickly and with so little care in his entire life. He doesn’t even care that his hair is a complete mess, that he’s still sweaty and that he hasn’t managed to get all the drying come off his stomach as he slips his shirt over his head and stumbles across the room to get his shoes.

“Jeans first!” Blaine calls from where he has managed to get dressed already and is shoving the dishes into the dishwasher, desperately trying to destroy every last bit of evidence of tonight. So Kurt awkwardly hops into his skin tight designer jeans, slipping and almost falling face first onto the floor, but Blaine catches his elbow in passing, steadying him and rushing past him to throw the pillows back onto the couch.

It’s been two minutes since Santana called.

This is it, Kurt thinks. This is where everything is going to crash down around them and they’ll be left to pick up the pieces. For a second, he wonders if that would actually be so bad, if it wouldn’t be better if Santana finally found out so they had this… thing going on. But then he thinks about the way Blaine’s parents had acted and how forlorn he had looked when he had been with them. And then, he glances over at Blaine, curls sticking to his forehead and cheeks flushed from where he had been running around. No. Kurt can’t do that to him, he can’t make him sad when all he wants is for him to smile.

So he keeps hurrying.

It’s been three and a half minutes when the room looks somewhat normal again and Kurt throws his jacket on, rushing to the door.

“Kurt.”

He twirls around to find Blaine standing there, looking absolutely miserable as he glances up to him.

“I’m so sorry.”

Kurt’s heart breaks a little at the words and he shakes his head. “Don’t. It’s not your fault. Today was perfect, you are perfect.” He assures him and cups his jaw with both hands to tip his face up to him, kissing his lips quickly and chastely. “I have to go.”

“I know.”

So Kurt kisses Blaine’s forehead again and with a small, sad smile, is out of the door. He checks the streets to make sure everything is clear before rushing to his car and jumping in. He starts the engine and forces his navigator backwards way too harshly, making the motor roar loudly. But at least, once he’s out of the driveway, he’s safe.

He makes it up to the corner before eh chances a look in the rear-view mirror and sees a black car pulling up in front of Blaine’s house.

He should keep driving, get away from here and not stand with a running engine behind a tree a few hundred meters away from Blaine’s house and spy on him like that. But the curiosity gets the best of him and something inside of him refuses to keep driving. So he waits. And watches.

The driver’s door opens and Santana gets out, dressed in a mini dress that looks more like a tank top, combined with knee high boots. She runs a hand through her dark hair as a Blonde gets out of the passengers side, walking around to her. They talk for a few moments, the Blonde who Kurt finally recognizes as the girl from the pictures, has her hands shoved into the pockets of her shorts, one of her thigh high socks only pulled up to her knee and her pony tail a little messy. She looks to the ground and kicks the pebble away with the heel of her boots, shrugging while Santana gestures around wildly.

It doesn’t look like a fight, more like Santana is trying to convince her of something she doesn’t really want to hear. Finally, Santana seems to give up and drops her hands to look around. On instinct, Kurt slips down in his seat, hoping not to attract her attention. He really is acting like some sort of private detective now, isn’t he?

Santana doesn’t seem to notice him though as she turns back to Brittany and reaches out to smooth a strand of her blonde hair back into her ponytail. Shrugging one shoulder helplessly, she seems to mirror Brittany’s position earlier and Kurt can’t help but frown. This is an entirely different person than the feisty, bitchy Santana he has met. This one looks reluctant, a little unsure and almost caring towards the other woman.

Just when he thinks that’s it, Santana does another quick look around before she leans forward and – woah. Kurt’s jaw falls open as he watches Santana press her lips against the blonde’s. it’s not long or deep and just as chastely as he just kissed Blaine goodbye but that’s the thing. It looks just like Blaine and him.

Kurt is still trying to process what’s going on as Santana walks into the house and leaves a rather sad looking Brittany behind.

Well, this is a turn Kurt hadn’t expected at all.

Two days later, Kurt is busy in his office, sorting out patterns for various table clothes and having his mind everywhere but on what had happened not long ago when suddenly the door bursts open.

He hears a stream of “No Miss, you can’t just run in there, you need an appointment, Miss!” from Tina who has been working on the front table today since his secretary has called in sick today but it’s to no avail.

T, pequeo bastardo mintiendo.

Kurt blinks up from his thick folder full of patterns to stare at the raging woman in front of him. He had expected this, though honestly he’s surprised it took her two entire days to show up here.

“Miss, I’m sorry but I’ll really have to ask you to-“

“It’s fine Tina. Thanks.” Kurt forces a smile across his face and watches as Tina frowns but finally closes the door again.

“I have no idea what you just said but I highly doubt I want to know it anyways.” Kurt sighs and flips the page of his catalogue. It may not be the politest way to talk to a client but he’s not stupid and by now, he has learned that Santana only really swore in Spanish.

“You think you’re real smart, huh? You think you can waltz into my life like this and destroy everything I worked towards?” she hisses, crossing hear arms over her chest and narrowing her eyes at him.

“You know, it would be a lot easier for this conversation to go anywhere if you would actually tell me why you’re here and not make all those hints that I’m supposed to build a story around.”

“Don’t pretend like you don’t know, Lady Lips.” She huffs and Kurt raises one eyebrow.

“I’m sorry, I forgot, how old are you again? Because you have to be at least a Senior in High School to be allowed to marry, you know.” Kurt points out because really, this is ridiculous. He actually feels like he’s in High School and the school’s bitch is trying to tear him down. Well, he won’t let her.

“Don’t get cocky at me. Oh wait, you already did. With my fianc.

“I don’t know what you’re talking about.”

“Oh please. I think condoms that walk away on their own have yet to be invented and the entire house reeked of semen.”

“Because you’re the expert when it comes to that smell?” he hums and he knows this is going into a direction it shouldn’t but he can’t help himself. He has taken so much crap his entire life, had let people walk all over him but now that he’s finally in New York and does what he loves, he’s done being the victim. He wants to be strong for once.

“What is that supposed to mean?”

“Oh nothing.”

“I sweat to god if you don’t – “ she’s cut off when her cell phone goes off and she groans in frustration as she picks it up without even checking the screen.

“Whoever this is better have a fucking good reason to annoy me because I’m in the middle of taking down this little elf that – Oh. Hey Britt.”

Her tone softens instantly and she actually bites her lip, turning away from Kurt. He uses the time to lean back and take a deep breath, trying to stay calm. Violence isn’t the answer but right now, pouncing at her and strangling her with her extremely expensive extensions seems like such a good idea.

“No. No, Brittany. Just because the perfume smells like fruit doesn’t mean it tastes like it too.” She mutters, obviously trying to keep Kurt from listening but he hears it anyways. “No!” she basically yells a second later. “Okay, listen. Do me a favour and don’t drink your perfume or nail polish remover and don’t eat the cotton balls, they won’t make it go away again in your stomach. Yes, I promise I’ll get you fruit salad after work, okay?”

Kurt has to bite his lip to keep from laughing because as much as he despises Santana, this is the most hilarious thing he ever heard.

“Okay. Yeah. Nos vemos esta noche, mi vida.” She murmures and this time, Kurt’s pretty sure it’s not an insult.

Santana sighs softly into her phone. “It means I’ll see you tonight…” she whispers, but it sounds like she stops herself before going on and Kurt wonders what she didn’t translate. After a few more whispered words, Santana finally hangs up and turns back around, but the call sort of took the spark away.

Kurt simply raises one eyebrow at her. “Do I really need to go there?”

“I don’t care where you go as long as it’s not inside my fianc.”

“You don’t really care about the fact that I’m a guy, do you? You’re only scared about that this might put an end to your wedding plans and that you might have to face the truth if that happens.”

“What truth?”

“You don’t love Blaine.”

“Yes I do!” she returns, way too quickly and her voice is still firm but there’s something else in her eyes.

“Maybe you do, as a friend, I know you’ve known each other for a long time but when you look at him… do you feel your heart speeding up? Do you hear your pulse in your ears? Do you want nothing more than to be in his arms, to have him close to you and to kiss him?” he pauses for a moment, glancing at her face before he says his finals words.. “Do you feel the same as when you look at Brittany?”

Santana gapes at him for a second, obviously trying to come up with some smart and witty comment.

“Leave Brittany out of this.” She hisses finally, obviously unable to think of something in her state of shock.

“I know we’re not exactly in good terms, but I know this is hard and I know it will take sometime to come to terms with it but-“

“I have nothing to get to terms with!” she half-yells but Kurt can tell the fight has gone out of her.

“Santana,” he starts as he gets up, it’s the first time he actually called her that instead of Ms. Lopez. “It’s not the end of the world, even if it seems like it. It’s going to be okay. But you can’t force Blaine to do this just so you can keep pretending. He has at least admitted this to himself, that’s a step you still have to take. If you’re really his friend, if you do love and care for him, you have to break up with him. Not only for him, but for yourself because if you marry Blaine, you’re never going to be happy.”

Santana doesn’t say anything as she adjusts the purse that sling across her shoulder and presses her lips together. Kurt thinks he can see unshed tears shining in them. Her lip trembles for a second and Kurt thinks she is actually going to cry, but of course she doesn’t.

“Stay away from him.” He says tightly, but her voice cracks at the last word as she turns on his heel and stalks out of his office, leaving the door wide open.

Groaning, Kurt collapses backwards into his chair and drops his face into his hands. He hears quiet footsteps but doesn’t look up until he feels a small hand on his shoulder.

“Okay,” Tina says, making herself comfortable on the edge of his desk and tipping her head to the side. “I think it’s time you fill me in on what in the world is going on here, Mister.”

Oh please, I need to know more...

Ahhh I absolutely LOVE this fic! I've read several great fanfictions, and this one definitely has to be a favourite. I knew that there was something going on between Brittany and Santana, because Brittana is endgame :P seriously though, keep up the great work and I can't wait for the next chapter! Also, I found it very ironic that I was listening to "I Write Sins Not Tragedies" by Panic! At The Disco while reading this xD

Awwh, awesome!Update soon :D

Ah, I so called it!!!! This is fantastic, Blaine and Santana are each other's beards, so perfect.
