Kurt had finally got most of Blaine's place clean. He sighed to himself as he noticed a hole in the wall just to the side of the living room. After the rush of getting Blaine to safety he never noticed it. He inspects it and finds an old torn shoe lodged just inside, Blaine must have kicked the wall at some point and lost his shoe as it gave in around his foot. Kurt felt his stomach turn, he didn't want to think about how if he hadn't of lied to both Blaine and Adam in the first place then Blaine wouldn't have been in the hospital. He wipes a tear from his eye as he thinks about how he found Blaine and how scared he felt.

Kurt knows how easily life can be snatched away, his been through it to many times in his life and the thought of almost losing someone else close to him made him physically sick. Kurt shakes his head to get the idea out of his brain as he heads back to the bedroom, finds a gym bag and starts to pack some clothes for Blaine to take back with him to the hospital. He finds an old pair of baggy tracksuit pants and a plan white shirt and throws them in before finding a pair of pyjama bottoms and a gray tank top. He wasn't sure how long Blaine would be kept in and he could see how uncomfortable those gowns look.

Kurt finished packing as he took a quick scan over the room making sure not to miss anything and saw Blaine's broken guitar. He walks over to it and starts to pick up the pieces and sits them on the bed. Kurt suddenly has an idea as he leaves the gym bag behind and runs to a music shop not far from Blaine's place.

Kurt stops outside the shop and looks at a guitar on display in the window. It's been years since his stepped into a music store. He enters through the door, the music hitting his ears making him hum along instantly. He looks along some of the music books before he heads to the instruments.

"Can I help you?" A shop assistant asks Kurt as he eyes a beautiful black acoustic guitar with white edges and white flowers going up the front of it on display. It was perfect, just like Blaine.
"Just had it in this week, its beautiful isn't it?" The shop assistant says as he brings in it down from the wall it's hanging on.
"It is" Kurt conforms as he inspects it in more detail. Kurt smiles to himself as he thinks about Blaine singing to him with this guitar.
"I'll take it!" Kurt says to the guy as he gets his wallet out of his back pocket.

"That will be $480.49" The shop assistant says as he puts the guitar through the till. Kurt gets out his card and a thought suddenly pops into his mind.
"Can I well, can I get a message, well an engraving on it?"
"Well it depends on the size but I'm sure we could do that."

A few days later and Blaine was finally allowed to leave the hospital. Kurt had made sure to book time off work to be there for him. Kurt waited patiently for him in the waiting room as he got one last check-up before he was allowed to leave.

"Kurt" Blaine says as he walks through the doorway into the waiting room. Kurt looks up from his copy Vogue and smiles as he feels his heart stop for a second as he takes in the sight of Blaine in the tracksuit bottoms, white shirt and a blue hoodie done up halfway. Not normally the look Kurt goes for but somehow Blaine can pull it off.

"You ready?" Blaine asks noticing Kurt staring making him quickly snap himself out of the daydream he clearly was in and jumps up, throwing the magazine onto the table.
"Sure of course, yes" Kurt says a little too enthusiastically making Blaine giggle.
"I was thinking that maybe we could go for a walk in the park before we head back, I mean if you don't mind." Blaine asks as he adjusts the straps on his gym bag.
"Sure" Kurt replies as he feels a hand slide into his, he looks down at their hands then back up to Blaine.
"I've missed doing this with you." Kurt says as he tightens his grip not ever wanting to let go ever again.
"I've missed doing everything with you." Blaine replies in a sad tone.

They walk through the park enjoying the sunny weather.
"10 years, it's been a long time" Blaine's says as he stops by a small pond and looks at the ducks.
"I know." Kurt sighs as he tightens his grip again on his hand.
"I just feel like we've missed out on so much." Blaine says as he turns to face Kurt, bringing their hands up to his mouth and kissing Kurt's fingers.
"But we'll together now and that's all that matters." Kurt replies as he gently kisses Blaine's lips before pulling away after getting stared at by an old homeless man.
"Let's go home" Blaine says.

Blaine closes the door to his place behind him and Kurt, throwing his gym bag to the side of the room and immediately grabbing Kurt's face and bringing him into the biggest, deepest kiss they've ever had. Both giggling into the kiss as they whisper "I love you" to each other. None of them wanted to be the first to let go and none of them wanted to stop.

"I know we said we would wait..." Kurt uttered as he pulled from the kiss and started to unzip Blaine's hoodie.
"I know but god, Kurt, I-I want you. I want you so much" Blaine babbled as he helped Kurt pull off his hoodie before starting to unbutton one of Kurt's many button on his coat.

"Ugh, layers my arch enemy" Blaine declares as his finally meets with a jumper under the coat making Kurt laugh uncontrollably. Blaine rests his forehead on Kurt's chest, himself trying to stop laughing.
"We meet again." Kurt says in a deep voice making Blaine lift an eyebrow in surprise as he brings his head back up to Kurt. Blaine slowly places his mouth by Kurt's ear before whispering.
"Don't worry I'll save you!"

Blaine wakes up to the sound of a guitar. He opens his eyes and looks to the other side of his bed to find Kurt is gone. He quickly pulls on his boxers that were abandoned on the floor earlier and heads to where the music is playing. He opens the door to find Kurt standing just in front of him strumming the guitar. Blaine looks at Kurt first who himself is wearing just his underwear and has a red rose in his mouth.
"Kurt?" Blaine asks as Kurt stops strumming before taking the rose out of his mouth and hands it to Blaine.
"Yes my love?"
"What, what is this?"
"I wanted to surprise you and I wanted to get you a little something." Kurt announced as he pulled the strap of the guitar off him and hands it over to Blaine.
"What's this?" Blaine asks.
"It's a guitar silly" Kurt laughs as he puts the strap on Blaine.
"I know it's a guitar but what's it for?"
"Well since yours is now broken and I suppose it was kind of my thought I wanted to do something special for you so I brought you this." Kurt says as he steps back and watches Blaine examine it.
"But-but- no I can't accept this. It's too much." Blaine replies.
"You have to accept it mainly because I can't take back now. Look at the side." Kurt suggests.

Blaine brings the side closer to his face and inspects the guitar. He finds something small, what looks like writing engraved into the wood. "Courage" Blaine puts the guitar down and instantly hugs Blaine.
"Thank you." Blaine whispers into Kurt's ear.
"I was hoping that maybe you could play for me?" Kurt says as he lets go of Blaine and picks up the guitar.
"I would love that." Blaine agrees as he leads Kurt back into the bedroom and sits down on the bed as Kurt hands him the guitar. They get themselves comfy under the sheets as Blaine begins to play.

There whole afternoon is spent playing music and singing. Kurt had missed Blaine's voice so much. Blaine finally puts his new guitar down on the floor before moving down to rest his head on Kurt's chest in bed, letting him mess with the curls in his hair.
"We have so much catching up to do. I mean it has been 10 years." Blaine comments before continuing.
"How's your family, any little siblings that I don't know about?"
"No, Dad and Carol never had any." Kurt sighed before he moved down to face Blaine a bit more.
"After senior year we kind of-well-something really terrible happened..." Kurt doesn't finish his sentence until Blaine gives his hand a reassuring squeeze.
"Well there is no other way I can really put this.....Finn, umm, he-he passed away." Kurt finally says as he feels Blaine start to cry. After everything that happened Blaine had always been friends with Finn and he only lost contact after he purposely distanced himself from everyone but he still cared for him.
"I should have been there for you. I let you down so much." Blaine cries.
"Its okay, it's going to be ok." Kurt says as he hugs Blaine tighter.
"No I should have been there for you and I wasn't."
"Listen to me Blaine Anderson, there was nothing anyone could do. Sadly we must carry on and Finn would think the same."

They spend the rest of the evening sharing stories about Finn and the past ten years and just generally learning about each other once again.
