The last two months pasted quite fast. Blaine had settled in well with Kurt and enjoyed the fact he didn't ever have to leave to go home as his home was now with the love of his life. He enjoyed cooking dinner for the both of them, watching television, waking up together, basically doing everything any other couple did. This was the first time since he left Lima all those years ago that he truly felt happy in his life. The same could be said for Kurt, he finally felt like his life was going somewhere and he finally could spend it with the love of his life.
Blaine's nerves had calmed down a lot since he spoke to Kurt about his worries. His confidence was on its way up and that was needed especially today, the night of the Vogue party.
"I'm thinking of getting a haircut before the party tonight." Blaine announces as he strums his guitar while Kurt finishes packing gift bags in the meeting room. Kurt lets out a little sound as he rushes to Blaine, throwing his hands on his head protecting the hair.
"NO I like your hair" Kurt shouts as he pulls a sad face making Blaine chuckle.
"Nothing drastic just a little trim, so you can actually see my face. Hey maybe I'll put some gel..."
"NO GEL!"
"I was joking." Blaine laughs as he pushes his guitar to the side and pulls Kurt onto his lap and gives him the biggest kiss ever. They both sit like this for a while not bothered if anyone decides to enter the room. "I'll see the stylist later" Blaine whispers as Kurt tugs his hair.
"Umm Blaine you're laps vibrating." Kurt moves off slightly as he looks down at Blaine's jeans puzzled. Blaine quickly puts his hand in his pocket and pulls out his mobile. 'It's Frank' he mouths as he answers.
"Hey Frank....." Blaine begins to push Kurt off his lap as he listens to the phone call closely.
Kurt begins to hum to himself as he goes back to packing the bags.
"Frank" A broken voice says making Kurt turn to see his boyfriend start to cry.
"Blaine?" He rushes to him as he finishes the phone call. "Are you Ok? What...what happened?" He asks.
"It's Frank. He...he...his" Blaine stutters. He places his phone on the table next to him and begins to play with his hands.
"Is he ok?" Kurt asks as he bends down and takes his hands in his own. Blaine doesn't respond "You're scaring me Blaine, what is it?"
"His....umm. He had a heart attack last night." Blaine tries to look anywhere but Kurt's eyes, trying not to break down. .
"His going to be ok isn't he?" Kurt asks as he tries to get Blaine's attention but he soon regrets asking, he already knew the answer himself.
"No he uh his um his dead" Blaine blurts out as he cries falling into Kurt shoulder. Kurt's shocked but he puts all his attention on Blaine. He needs to be strong.
"Oh Blaine" He pulls him off his seat, finally settling into his arms. Blaine pushes his head deeper into Kurt's neck. "It's going to be ok" Is the only thing Kurt can think of saying. His heart breaking for Blaine. It's just like Finn all over again. Kurt looks at Blaine and is reminded of the night he had to tell Rachel the terrible news, how she broke down in his arms. How he wished he could make everything right for her. He misses her.
"We're cancelling the party they can find someone else." Kurt whispers into his ear.
"No" Blaine pulls away wiping his eyes. "I'm not stopping now, Frank he would have...would have wanted me to continue, he would have told me this was my chance and to make him proud." Blaine pulls Kurt closer. "We're doing this and we're....we're going to make him proud."
Kurt nods as Blaine pulls him back up. He kisses him on the cheek.
"I think he already is." Kurt whispers.

The afternoon was a blur, Blaine tried his hardest to keep focus but after his shocking news it was hard.
"Crap" He shouts as he forgets a line to one of his own songs but Kurt is quick to the rescue as he brings him into a reassuring hug luckily this was only the warm up.
"You can still back down" Kurt offers, not wanting to put too much strain on him.
"No I'm good. Actually Kurt can I ask you a question?" Blaine moves forward bringing Kurt taking Kurt away from the people around them. He finds a sofa and they both sit down.
"When Finn died how did you move on?" Blaine asks. Kurt can still see the sadness in his eyes.
"I had Dad, Carol...Rachel; we kept each other going just like I'm going to do with you."
"How come you never speak about Rachel?" Blaine asks as he spots the instant panic in Kurt's eyes.
"We had a row, looking back now it was silly but you remember what she was like. Anyways we had an argument; actually I can't remember what it was about." Kurt stops his mind racing.
They both sit there is silence. Blaine goes for Kurt's hand before leaning on his shoulder.
"I miss her." Kurt whispers.

"I can do this" Blaine announces to himself as Kurt walks by him.
"I'm by your side remember." Kurt links his hands with Blaine before they both walk out on stage.
Blaine walks to the microphone at the centre of the stage. He feels his nerves slightly but he breaths it out.
"Hi umm you won't know me but I'm Blaine Anderson. I hope your all having a good time and are ready for some music." Blaine instantly recognises how bad his introduction was but is too focused on the music to care.
Kurt walks off to the side to watch his perfect boyfriend perform for a crowd made up of celebrities, officials and politicians proud to finally see him in the spotlight. Blaine starts off with Mark Ronson's and Bruno Mars Uptown Funk which gets all the guests up on their feet and dancing along which is a good sign.
"I'm impressed." A voice says to Kurt making him jump.
"Isabelle." Kurt turns to face her before they both laugh.
"How's he coping?" She asks. Kurt had informed her about the situation and was glad she agreed to let him continue. "If he needs to take a timeout just let me know, the band can take over if they need to." She winks to him before she joins the rest of the group up on their feet leaving Kurt to admire his boyfriend. He starts to think of his duet, this was the first time his performing since he left NYADA.
Blaine finishes a couple of songs before he nods for Kurt to join him.
"Thank you. Now I would like you to meet some who's very special to me." Kurt waves to the crowd as he joins Blaine. "This is Kurt Hummel, he works here at Vogue but he also has an amazing voice and well it's been years since we both performed on a stage together....this song is dedicated to an amazing friend of mine...how umm isn't with us anymore. This is Somebody Loves You"
The party is a success and after Blaine finishes his set he finds himself swamped with officials wanting to talk to him and congratulate him on the show. He doesn't know what to do with himself as his handed different business cards. He thinks of Frank as he handed another one for a record company and how proud he would have been and then he thinks of how he should have been there. Blaine had scored him a ticket by making him his plus one since Kurt was already at the party as an employee and how excited he had been when he told him about the gig.
Blaine feels a bit crowed now; he goes to find Kurt who's chatting with Isabelle.
"Hi" He breaks in.
"How you feeling?" Isabelle asks, he voice so soft with concern.
"I'm fine. I'm truly grateful for everything you've done for me today and I wish I could stay for the after party but is it ok If I leave I have a headache." Blaine asks.
"Sure you've finished and I don't see why not and I was going to suggest you both go home and have a rest." She smiles as Blaine thanks her and starts to head back to the stage and to grab his jacket and guitar.
"Look after him" She says, as they both watch the boy. "Take the week off, actually no make it for as long as you both need. I have a feeling his going to need you a lot over these next few days. I'll make sure you get paid to so you don't need to worry."
"Thanks" Kurt nods as he finally says his goodbyes and catches up to Blaine. "Let's go home"

"Thank you for today" Blaine utters as he enters their apartment before he heads straight to their bedroom not even bothering taking off his shoes.
"Blaine" Kurt calls after him but is ignored. He gives him a few minutes on his own before deciding to check up on him.
He opens the door to a dark room to find Blaine sitting in the corner clutching a blanket, his sobs heartbreaking. Kurt rushes over to him as fast as he could and brings him into an embrace.
"Why him?" Blaine cries as he finally lets his emotions take over.
Kurt holds him as tight as he can but it doesn't feel enough. He can feel Blaine shaking; he pulls him up and guides him over to their bed. He makes him sit down before he takes off both their shoes.
"Lie down honey" Blaine does as his told as he lies on to his side before Kurt joins him.
"Why?" Blaine says again as Kurt pulls him into his arms and comforts him still unsure what to say.
"I don't know but his at rest now."
They stay like this all night, Kurt comforting him he was going to be there for Blaine and help him through this.
