Blaine's mind hadn't stopped ticking from the very moment Kurt told him about the Vogue party. Honesty he was terrified but he hadn't told Kurt this, not yet, not while he was this happy. He gladly accepted the offer before his mind had even caught up with what was being said. Blaine stared blankly at his phone as he waited on the corner of his street with his bags in hand while Kurt flagged down a taxi. He felt a slight a panic, something he hadn't really felt in a long time, not since he first left Lima. He took a couple of deep breaths before putting his phone away.
"You can do this" He tells himself before he pulls Kurt back and kisses him on the cheek.
"You know we could have stayed at yours overnight." Kurt moans as he adjusts the collar on his shirt disappointed that he had to put it back on.
"No I needed to get out of that place plus no bed"
"Does it matter?" Kurt winks at Blaine as he playfully hits his arm.
Blaine sighs as he turns to his former home and smiles to himself glad to be finally rid of the place.
"Kurt this place, it holds to many memories most of them not good. I need out before I go crazy." Blaine sighs as he pulls the key from his pocket. "I give the key back tomorrow."
Kurt nods his head in agreement before he spots an oncoming taxi and quickly makes to flag it down.
"Ready?" Kurt asks
"Ready"

Blaine wakes up in a sweat. Kurt's bed was bigger than he remembers but then again he didn't really take note of the size the last time he was here. He leaves Kurt alone as he slowly tiptoes out of the room and into the living area. He switches on the light and heads to the sofa before sitting down.
He sighs to himself as he runs his hands through his curls. His once loose shirt now clinging to his sweaty body.
"Snap out of it Blaine" He whispers to himself as he spies his guitar to the side of the room. Music was everything to him but right now he was terrified of it. He'd never experienced stage fright in his life but now the sight of the guitar scared him. What had happened to him? He brings his hands down in front of them and examines them, their shaking. He shakes his head and gets up. "Come on Blaine."
"Blaine?" A voice echo's around the room making Blaine quickly spin around. An instant smile comes to his face as he watches Kurt walk in with a blanket wrapped around him and wide eyed to what Blaine was doing up this early.
"Its 3am what are you doing?" Kurt walks forward releasing an arm from under his blanket. He gets closer to Blaine before he pulls him in and wraps the blanket around him to sharing his body heat from underneath.
"Couldn't sleep" Blaine mumbles as he leans his head on Kurt's shoulder. "You should go back you've got work in the morning."
"Blaine you're shaking." Kurt pushes Blaine back a bit before he pushes his head up to look at him.
"I'm fine."
"No you're not. Please tell me what's bothering you." Kurt pulls Blaine along with him and sits on the sofa wrapping Blaine back up in his arms under the blanket. Blaine sighs for a second from the warm heat under the blanket while his brain was still debating on what he should say.
"It's silly"
"No it's not. I can sort this, just tell me, please." Kurt kisses Blaine's cheek. "Is it work? Is it us? Is it..."
"Us? God no, we are, we're perfect" Blaine turns around in Kurt's arms. He plays with the blanket a bit as Kurt studies him.
"Then what is it? Is it to do with the party?" Kurt finally asks as Blaine just stops, his mouth open but no words were coming out. "You know you can say no, you don't have to do it if you're not ready." Kurt places his hand on Blaine's chin.
"I want to, this is an amazing opportunity for me it's just...." Kurt holds his hand and gives a reassuring squeeze. "It's just what if I'm not good enough. The only crowd I've played to are the customers at the cafe and I don't really think they pay too much notice. Maybe Vogue are making a terrible mistake hiring me. You should hire someone with actual talent...."
"But they have, it's you."
"No, I..I..."
"Whoa, whoa" Kurt tries to stop Blaine but it doesn't work.
"Go for someone well named, not a nobody who didn't even finish school."
"Whoa, Blaine, stop please." Kurt pleads. This time he grabs Blaine full attention. "You're amazing, Blaine. You have an incredible talent that I'm pretty sure most of the world would be quite jealous of and so what if you didn't finish school some of the most successful people didn't go to college."
"But"
"You don't have to do this if you don't want to and I won't judge you whatever you decide, the choice is up to you. But please if you don't do it, don't let it be because you don't think you're not talented enough because it was Isabelle who spotted you and she can spot the next best thing from miles away."
"But"
"And from personal experience I know you can do this. The party isn't for another two months we can get in as much practise as you want."
"Thank you" Blaine replies as he sinks back into Kurt. His head nestled under Kurt's chin. "Maybe we could do a duet."
"I would like that."
