"I think I found Kurt."

Jeff looked giddy; he was always such a believer. Nick was the one who responded a little skeptically.

"Blaine, I.." He started in. But, Blaine wasn't taking any of that any longer. Everyone was always telling they know how hard it is and Kurt is gone and he should just let go and holding on is not a good idea. And everyone was wrong.

He silenced Nick with his hand. "I know I found Kurt and I need your help to prove it."

"Kurt's been gone for years. How did you supposedly find him?" Nick inquired.

"Finn and Rachel helped and we've had a few run ins lately."

"You've had run ins? With you dead boyfriend? Blaine, have you been feeling alright?" Nick's dark eyes were swimming with concern and it was making Blaine sick. He was tired of being treated like a mental patient at a hospital. After Kurt disappeared, his parents forced him into therapy. And now Nick was putting him right back into that chair. He remembered the excessive smell of the doctor's lotion; the way the soft hands rested on his knee when he was told everything would be okay. It was intoxicating and suffocating all at once.

"He's not dead. He's missing, or he was missing. But I found him." Blaine defended, holding up the tracker.

Nick sighed, pushing away his hair. "Are you sure that's even him?" He really did understand where Nick was coming from. Blaine understood he was just looking out for him. Nick didn't want to see him get his heart broken again. But, Blaine knew what he was doing and Nick was just upsetting him.

"Because, Nick, Kurt is and always will be soulmate." Blaine retorted. He spoke unsteadily; words a little too loud and a little too distraught.

"Blaine, I'm sorry. Calm down, it's-" Nick started, moving towards Blaine.

"No!" Blaine held up a hand to keep Nick away. "No, it's not okay. Don't say that. Just help me, please."

"I really..." Nick began.

"Stop." This time it wasn't Blaine that interrupted Nick. "We'll help you."

"Jeff?" Nick looked at his other half that had betrayed him. Blaine, too, looked at him with surprise.

"Nick, if I had gone missing and there was even a little shred of hope that you could get me back, wouldn't you go through hell and high waters for me?" Jeff asked. "Because I would for you."

"Of course, but-"

"But, we're helping Blaine now." The blonde nodded determinedly, until Nick finally agreed with him.

"Okay. What do you need us to do?" Nick sighed, giving in.

Blaine looked at his feet, then back up. "It's complicated." He sighed.

Nick and Jeff both groaned. "Do you want our help or not? Hell and high waters isn't supposed to be simple." Jeff reminded him.

"I know, it's just...I have something to show you guys."

"You're Batman!?" Jeff blurted, "That's so cool!!" The excited boy bounded across the cave. "Nicky, look its the batmobile!" Nick ran over, equally enthused.

"I'm actually just Robin and don't let Jeff touch anything."

"Why did you bring us down here?" Nick asked, holding onto his boyfriend.

"Because, and hear me out, Kurt is Catman. That means we're gonna need Robin if we are doing this. And you guys need disguises, too."

Jeff's eyes were the size of the moon, "We get to be superheroes?"

"Well, no. That didn't work last time."

"Last time?" Nick inquired.

"With Finn and Rachel."

"What happened last time?"

"Never mind that. I have an idea, maybe.." He was pacing again. This time with a thought slowly forming, like a ball of snow rolling down a hill, gaining more of its own kind. "Cops. You guys can be cops." Nick and Jeff nodded approvingly. "We can go to this place and tell them you guys have to search it. Then Nick can be the distraction, while Jeff finds the tracker and takes it out. And Jeff needs to find a window or something that I can climb through and make sure it's unlocked." Blaine grinned.

"That's a big job." Jeff said, thinking it over. "What if I get caught?"

"We'll have walkie-talkies, just tell us you got caught." Blaine explained.

"Blaine, I can't do that! No one lets there captives call for help!" Jeff reasoned, to the best of his unreasonable abilities.

"He's right." Nick chimed in. "And that would lead them to think he's not working alone. And if we get caught, then who's gonna help us? We need a code word or something."

"Alright, we can have a code word." Blaine conceded. "What should it be?"

"Toothpaste." Jeff proclaimed as if it was a genius idea.

"Why?" Blaine asked.

"They'll have no idea what I'm talking about! It's perfect!"

"Okay, sure. Yeah, toothpaste is the code word. That good with you, Nick?"

He nodded. "But, there's one last thing. What'll you do when you get to Kurt?" Nick asked.

"I'm Robin, I'm sure I'll think of something."

"No, Blaine, it's time to take off the mask. If you want Kurt back, you're gonna have to do it the old fashion way. As Blaine." Nick made an interesting point.

"But, what if I can't?"

"You can. Kurt and Blaine are soulmates, not Kurt and Robin. Go in there and prove that to him. He needs to know that this time isn't just another run-in. You're not playing games anymore."

Blaine nodded, "I will."
