I'm sorry for leaving you. I know you lost mum and now you've lost me too and I feel so bad about it. I just can't take it anymore. The abuse, the names, the mindless beating and torture has gotten too much. I know I told you that things had stopped or even died down but that wasn't true. I didn't want you to worry anymore and get more heart problems so I lied. I hope you find it in your heart to forgive me one day in the future. Don't be sad, Daddy. I'm happy now. I'm with mum, we're happy together and looking down on you. I love you so so much. Look after Carole and Finn for me.

The letter was covered in blotches of salty tears from where Kurt had been sobbing in his final words. He wiped his eyes and took a deep breath before placing the letter on his neatly made bed. He walked over to his desk and picked up the small bottle of tablets. He lay down on his bed, opening the child safety lid of the plastic bottle and scattered the pills onto the palm of his hand. Kurt lifted his hand up to his mouth and tilted his head back, grabbing a bottle of water and downing the pills. He felt his eyes immediately grow heavy but put some more pills into his mouth, straight out of the bottle and swallowed them whole. He rested his head against the pillow, next to the folded up, tear stained letter and closed his eyes. He drifted off to an endless sleep, never to wake up again. He fell asleep to the soothing sounds of Paris outside his window, where he had lived his whole life. He waited and waited, his life slipping through his fingertips. He plastered a smile to his face, happy that everything would now be over. Kurt Hummel was no more. He was gone, to a better place and yes, he would be missed, but he was glad all of the torture and humiliation was finally over.
