Blaine woke up in a comfortable bed in a room with blue walls and a poster of Woody Guthrie judgmentally staring back at him. He awakened a little more and noticed an arm slung over his waist. So that's what Woody was upset about.
He didn't know where he was, or how he got there.
The past night slowly started coming into view. He remembered a guy named Cody coming up to him and asking Blaine if he wanted to leave, and Blaine said yes. Oh God why did he say yes?
He remembered getting into a car, but the rest was a blur. At least he knew the guy's name, right? Always look for the brightside, Anderson. Silver linings...silver linings.
He swiftly removed the strange man's arm from his torso without a peep coming from the other party, put on his clothes and left the apartment. He walked out onto the sunny street, was happy he recognized where he was, and quickly walked to his apartment on the warm Sunday morning.
Or at least he thought it was morning.
And he thought it was Sunday.
Or was it Saturday?
Blaine didn't have a clue.
He checked his phone to make sure it was in fact Saturday when he noticed three missed calls and ten new text messages.
All from Kurt.
Kurt: Where are you?
Kurt: I can't find you anywhere...did you leave?
Kurt: Why wont you answer me?
Kurt: Are you okay?
Kurt: You're really starting to freak me out.
Kurt: Okay, well...it's been an hour and I've looked in and all around the club for you, so I'm just gonna go.
Kurt: I hope I don't regret leaving.
Kurt: Be safe.
Kurt: I'm sorry for ditching you.
Kurt: But seriously, WHERE ARE YOU WHEN YOU GET THIS CALL ME!!!!
Oh shit. He forgot about Kurt. Blaine called him right as he put the key in the front door of his building. It rang once before he picked up.
“Blaine, WHERE DID YOU GO AND WHY DIDN'T YOU TELL ME YOU WERE LEAVING I WAS WORRIED SICK ABOUT YOU!” Kurt's yelling could be heard beyond the proximity of the receiver, which led to several people walking by turning curiously in his direction. He politely waved them off before answering.
“Kurt, I am so sorry. This guy offered to take me back to his place and I was a little drunk...so I went. We were safe, just so you know. At least I think we were.”
An audible sigh came from the other end. “I was worried about you, Blaine.”
Blaine's heart melted for a second, but quickly hardened up again.
“Well, maybe you would've known where I was if you hadn't ditched me for that guy grinding up on you the entire time.”
Now a groan was heard. “I'm so sorry. I should've stayed with you. But he was cute and I just...I don't know. I'm sorry, okay?”
“But what about me?” Blaine asked angrily before he knew what he was saying.
“What about you?”
“Why didn't you dance with me?”
Silence ensued for an uncomfortable amount of time.
Kurt talked first. “Did you want me to dance with you?”
As Blaine walked into his home safe and sound, he never felt more vulnerable. “Well...yeah. Of course I did.”
“Well why didn't you ask?”
Blaine laughed. “I'm not really the flirty type of guy, if you haven't noticed.”
Kurt didn't laugh along with him. Not even a chuckle.
“Blaine, I have to go now. I'll see you on Monday.”
“But wait, Kurt– ” He couldn't finish his sentence before the line went dead, along with Blaine's self-confidence.
