Kurt knew from the beginning it was the Apocalypse. It began six months ago. Disease broke out and then came the demons. Chaos attracted them. Kurt saw the signs, he knew about the things that would come. It was now August and Kurt was completely alone.
The first out brake was hit New York city. Eventually the disease made it to all the major cities. Kurt saw the signs around Lima in April. People started getting hungry. They would eat until there hearts gave out, or until they gave into the craving. The whole world went to hell after that.
May was the worst time for Kurt. His parents got infected then possessed. It was rather rare for a demon possession to occur. Demons didn't come to the Earth as much as the other things that roamed in the darkness.
Kurt killed his parents, May 18. The day he lost all hope.
He picked up a few tricks here and there. A blade made out of silver and marked in Latin symbols. A demon named Zella dropped it. Zella was the first demon Kurt ever killed. He killed her with the blade she dropped. The only blade in creation that could kill a demon.
Kurt didn't leave America. He'd been everywhere however. He stayed mainly in New York. Kurt had always been drawn to it. His father had always told him he'd make it big, little did he know what was going to occur years later.

Kurt sat on a rugged couch. He wasn't even one for violence, but he needed to survive. He stayed on the top floor of a apartment building. Kurt always dreamed of staying here. The building was once was one of the best in the world. The view was once one of the best things about it. Kurt couldn't even stand to look out at the world anymore. All that was left was buildings that had fallen to the ground, like shattered glass. The sky's were full of smoke and ash was everywhere.
Kurt looked at the blade in his hands, it was so simple. He never understood why the blade worked on the demons. But none the less, there was more infected people rather than possessed people. There was no cure. Nothing could get rid of the disease its self. The only thing to do was to shoot them in the head or cut their heads off. Which was not appealing to Kurt.
He got off the couch slowly. Kurt moved the curtain an inch, peaking at the street below. Nothing was like the zombie movies. The people infected were in fact not even zombies, they were just carnivores. More like animals feeding on their own kind.
Kurt shoved the curtain closed and quickly grabbed his boots putting them own. He loaded his gun, packing extra rounds into his pockets. After taking the stairs, Kurt unchained the apartment doors and walked outside. No lights were on, and the street was completely dark.
Kurt shoved his hands into his pocket and walked to the local grocery store. He had been going there for a while, taking the supplies he needed then going on a bit of a killing spree. It always helped him clear his mind and let go of the stress he had built up.
The store was empty as usual. Kurt walked down the aisles grabbing canned food and cakes that weren't bad yet. Kurt stood searching through the pile of drinks that lay on the floor. Something dropped on the other side of the aisle. Kurt froze taking out his gun, he slowly moved around to the other side. Kurt saw a man standing there, he had curly hair and had dirty clothes. His jeans were ripped but in the back Kurt could see a pistol tucked slightly under his shirt.
Kurt loaded the gun and aimed straight for the mans head. The man must have noticed because he stood frozen in his spot.
"Look, I don't want any trouble." The man spoke. His voice was soft but it didn't have an ounce of fear. "I'm just grabbing a few things for myself." One thing about the infected people was they couldn't talk. They couldn't make any noise but a groan.
"Y-Your not infected?" Kurt was surprised to hear his own voice. Why did he sound nervous? The man turned around and immediately he knew he was attracted to him. The man had honey eyes and triangled eyebrows.
The man shook his head. He seemed around the same age as Kurt but much shorter. Kurt got his bag full of food and headed towards the door. Kurt didn't like seeing people. Granted it was better than interacting with the infected but normal non-infected people were crazy and delusional.
"Hey wait!" The boy called. "Don't go yet. Do you live around here? I don't see very many normals around here."
Kurt looked at the bag then turned around quickly. "Look, I understand why you want to talk but I don't really want to talk to some curly haired stranger. Alright?" Kurt strolled out the door and walked swiftly to the apartment door. He could hear the shorter boy rushing after him.
"Wait! You live there!" The boy caught Kurt's arm turning him around. Kurt was caught off guard, he hadn't expected the smaller boy to be so strong. "I've tried to get in there so many times but its always locked!" The boy smiled looking up at the building.
Kurt smiled, the boy seemed to have a personality of an eight year old but a body of a twenty year old swimmer. The boy must have caught Kurt starring at him because he began to blush. "Oh uh yeah." Kurt smirked. "I stay on the top floor. Its really nice."
"Whats your name?" The boy tilted his head to the side slightly. "Mines Blaine!" He grinned, Kurt could see his perfectly white teeth.
"I'm Kurt." Kurt held out his hand. Blaine looked down at it and smiled, he shook it strongly. After a minute or two they let each others hands go. Kurt could feel his cheeks burn hot red.
"Well, Kurt, would you like to go hunting with me?"
