"Kurt can I come in?" Kurt could hear his step brother calling through his bedroom door.

His response was flat and monotone as he layed on his bed staring up at the ceiling. "Sure."

"Hey mate." He didnt even turn his head to look at Finn as he came into the room and sat on his bed. "You've barley left your room in two weeks ever since you came back from Dalton. Whats wrong?"

"Nothing."

"I know you Kurt, i'm your brother. If you tell me maybe I can help. I know for a fact that ever since you've been home you've been like... depressed. Our parents are worried too. You havent been coming downstairs, you havent been going out, you havent been eating properly and hell, you havent even bothered to style you hair. Kurt, that is not you."

"I just havent felt good, okay?"

"Is..." Finn hesitated slightly, realising the answer. "Is it Blaine?"

Silence.

"So thats a yes then."

Kurt pushed himself up and proped himself up against the pillows. He extended his pinky finger out to Finn. "Furt?" he asked.

Finn locked his finger with Kurts and nodded. "Furt."

Furt was their brotherhood, their friendship and their promise to look out one another. He always knew Finn had his back, no matter what.

"You know I like Blaine."

Finn snorted loudly. "Like? Come on dude, your madly in love with him, we all know that."

"Great," Kurt muttered, shooting a glare at Finn. "Well he was acting strangley for days, he told me he liked someone and when I asked who he told me he couldnt say and ran out."

"Oh."

"Yes, oh indeed. He's been avoiding me ever since. He wouldnt really talk to me in classes, everytime I tried to catch up with him he told me he was busy or just dissapeared, he missed a few Warbler practises and when he came he wouldnt even look at me and he was stopping at Nick and Jeffs place in the evening. I found out he went on a date the day before we left and Jeff told he was only doing it to..." he gulped, these words still strange to hear, "to get over me. Try and get me out of his head. Jeff said it was obvious he liked me but he didnt want me to get hurt like I did with Karofsky, not again and he was worried that'd happen if I was with him. I walked out on him in the coffee shop the other day but when I saw him I was so mad about that date and him avoiding me but he never found me before we left."

Finn frowned. "Well at least he likes you right?"

"I dont believe its true. I mean, he's... why would he want me? I mean he hasnt even texted this whole time we've been away."

Finn snorted. "You are wonderful Kurt! Why wouldnt he want you? Didnt he accept Burts invite for Christmas dinner?"

"I asked him ages ago, before all this happened and he said he was probably going to Texas with his family to see his Aunt and Uncle." Kurt let out a cold laugh. "Its not like he'd come here now anyway."

"I know things seem crap latley and you miss Blaine," Finn reached over and placed a large hand on his brothers shoulder, "but dont forget you have your family. You have me, Burt and Carole. You also have Rachel, Puck, Tina, Mike, Mercedies, Lauren, Quinn, Sam, Artie, Brit and Santana. They may not be blood but that is 11 people who love you and would do anything for you. Kurt, dont destroy yourself."

"I should cheer up shouldnt I? It is Christmas eve."

"Yes and because it is Christmas eve, myself and the rest of the New Directions are all going over to Mr Schue's later to suprise him. No one should be on their own on Christmas eve right? I was hoping you'd come, I know everyone wants to see you. You dont have to stay long, I can drive you home early."

"That sounds great, thanks." Kurt smiled as his brother, wrapping his arms around him, pulling him into an embrace. "Thankyou Finn, you're an amazing brother."

"So are you man, all I want is to see you happy. And just stop getting yourself down about this, I know I havent known him as long as you have but I think Blaine does like you and what Jeff said was right. You just have to talk to him. You just have to work out whether you're going to blow up about the situation like at the Lima Bean or give him the benefit of the doubt and stay calm enough to hear him out."

"When did you get so wise Finn?"

"Well, with the history I have with friends and girlfriends, i'd be shocked if I hadnt learnt from it. You've only got 2 hours till we go out so dont spent too long on your hair okay?" He grinned at his brother once more before getting up to leave.

There was a loud buzzing coming from his dresser, and Kurt reached over for his phone. It was Nick. He's really sorry. Just talk to him.

"Kurt!" Kurt looked up from his glass of wine to see Mr Schuester leaning over him. "Thanks for coming over with everyone. It was a really nice suprise."

"No problem Mr Schue." Kurt moved over on the sofa to make room for his old teacher. "Its great all of us being together on Christmas eve because we spent Christmas with our families and dont get to see the other people we consider our family."

Santana, who was perched on the arm of the sofa and placed her hand on Kurts back. "I know you're not with us anymore but you will always be a part of our family Kurt."

Puck nodded in agreement "Yeah dude. We know you've had a really rough time and we just want you to know we all love you and we're all here for you."

"Here, its from all of us." Rachel, who was sat on Finns lap infront of them handed him a presant. "I know we already exchanged presants but this is an small extra from all of us."

Kurt tore the silver wrapping to reveal a picture in a dark wooden frame. Grinning up at him was Mr Schue holding the trophey they had won at Regionals and gathered tightly around him, their arms round eachother were Kurt and the rest of the New Directions.

"Thankyou guys! This is perfect. I've got you all something extra too." He reached into his bag he left by his feet and brought out 13 envelopes small envelopes. One for everyone. "Now I know some of you have seen this already but the ones that have, I know you will love to see it again and the ones that havent, well - it'll certainly help with some inspiration towards sectionals."

Tina who was the first to open her envelope, squealed. "Wicked? You got us all tickets to see Wicked? I've wanted to see this for ages!"

"Kurt, this is amazing." Will said patting Kurt on the back. "This really will get everyone in the mood for sectionals."

He grinned. "I know i'm on the opposing team but I thought we were so good, this might help you get inspired to try and be just as amazing as us."

"You wish! We'll own you at Sectionals! I'll own you by my pure dance skills alone, I mean, I hear the Warblers dont do much dance and when you do its on furniture." Mike laughed and patted his friend on the back. "Thankyou Kurt."

"Blaine is the main offender for that. I just pray everytime his shoes are clean." It was still hard to forget about Blaine when he was with his friends but he tried his best to as the clock chimed 12, announcing Christmas day.

"Merry Christmas guys." Quinn trilled.

"Merry Christmas!" They all chorused.

A tear slid down Kurts cheek. He knew it wouldnt be as merry without him.

End Notes: Its kinda short but I hope you liked.
