Author's Notes: Blahhh. I'm not too thrilled with this chapter, but whatever. I guess it's just a filler anyway. The next one will definitely be much more interesting, I promise. (: Review if you'd like!

October seemed to pass by quickly, and there was only a week left until the Halloween party Rachel had somehow managed to convince Kurt into going to. Currently, he was sitting at his desk, sewing the Slytherin crest on his robe as he half listened to Blaine talking next to him. Blaine had ended up talking him into going dressed as Draco and Harry, Blaine as Harry, of course, and Kurt as Draco. He wasn't surprised that Blaine had the full costume already packed in the back of his closet, complete with a wand and everything, but Kurt still had a lot of work to do with his costume. He had ordered a wig and Blaine already had a wand for him, so all he needed now was to piece his robes and uniform together.

He stopped sewing, only when Rachel barreled into his room, exclaiming that he needed to make a cake for the party. He nodded, writing down the ingredients he would need for this particular dessert, saying that he would get to it later since there was still a week left before the party. His main focus now was just finishing up his costume. He still sort of wished Blaine would've agreed to go as Fiyero and Guylinda, but it was definitely better than the other two ideas Blaine had come up with(Superman and Batman, and even worse, Bert and Ernie).

When Thursday came along, Kurt decided he'd start on the cake then. The party wasn't until Saturday, so he knew there would be enough time to bake and perfect the dessert. Or well, that's what Kurt thought. Everything was going fine until Blaine decided it would be a good idea to flick flour over in Kurt's direction. The taller boy gasped and set the towel he'd been using to dry his hands off on the counter. He reached into the sack and flung a handful over at Blaine. The flour ended up in his hair and all over his face and on most of his shirt, and Kurt couldn't help but giggle.

Blaine glared over at his boyfriend playfully, scooping up the flour in both hands and dumping it on Kurt's head. He gasped and blew the stuff out of his face and rubbed it out of his eyes. "You did not just do that, Anderson."

"Oh, but I did, Hummel," he winked back, sticking out his tongue. Kurt shook his head and backed up a bit, charging right in Blaine's direction, tackling him to the floor. Blaine landed with an 'oof' and a loud thud. The bag on the counter slipped off when the boys fell to the floor, causing the flour to drench their bodies. Kurt squeaked and he jumped off of Blaine immediately, examining his clothes, which were now as white as a sheet. He was thankful he'd decided to wear a t-shirt and jeans that day instead of his usual McQueen or Marc Jacobs.

Blaine pushed himself up and snickered at the sight of Kurt. The boy only glared back at him, "that was all your fault."

"How was that my fault?!"

"If you hadn't flicked the flour at me in the first place, we wouldn't have ended up in this mess." And they were literally in a mess, as was the whole kitchen. And they still hadn't started baking the cake yet.

"You didn't have to flick it back at me," Blaine pouted, but grinned suggestively at Kurt after a moment. "We should probably get cleaned up," he suggested, grabbing Kurt's hand and leading him down the hallway to the bathroom.

The next two days passed in blur, and when Saturday arrived, the boys and Rachel slipped into their costumes and headed for the party. Since Rachel's friend's house was right outside of the city, they decided to take Blaine's car over there. Leah greeted them cheerfully, taking the pumpkin-shaped cake from Kurt. She set it down on a table with the rest of the desserts, telling them to go have fun and enjoy as she skidded off to greet another pair who had just arrived.

Halfway through the party, Rachel was nowhere to be found and Blaine had started a conga line. Kurt was seated at a table, sipping slowly at his drink as he watched his boyfriend dance around in amusement. He loved how carefree Blaine was. He loved to go out and have fun, he liked to dance and sing and jump around, and he didn't care what other people thought about him for it. Kurt turned when he heard a chair scrape next to him, and he noticed a skinny man with tanned skin, jet-black slicked hair, and pearly white teeth sit down next to him with what looked like a margarita in his hand.

"Some party, huh?" the man asked casually, earning only a nod from Kurt. If there was any way possible, he was going to avoid this man. It wasn't that he didn't like talking to people, he was very outgoing, but he knew this man didn't want to just become him friend, and he just screamed bad news.

"What do you say we get out of here? Go somewhere a little quieter?" the man asked in a sultry voice, nudging Kurt lightly with his shoulder. Kurt suppressed rolling his eyes and he did his best to avoid eye contact as he spoke. "I have a boyfriend."

"Oh, come on. I'm sure he won't mind."

Kurt was just about to open his mouth and argue back when he heard a voice cut in from behind, "I'm sure he will."

He was grateful that Blaine had come to his rescue. He really didn't want to be around this guy very much longer, and though he had perfect teeth, his breath smelled horrible. A definite turn-off on Kurt's part. Also, this man seemed to be arrogant and pushy, two more of Kurt's turn offs. "Now, leave my boyfriend alone," Blaine growled. And if that wasn't the hottest thing ever to Kurt. Kurt smirked back at the man as Blaine pulled him away, and the guy watched them go with a dumbfounded look.

"I hate when guys hit on you," Blaine mumbled, leaning in to press a soft kiss to Kurt's lips.

"Me too. Just know that you're the only one for me, Blaine," he said, leaning down to return the kiss.

Blaine smiled against his lips and pulled away, grabbing Kurt's hand in his. "Let's go trick or treating."

Kurt stared at Blaine with a confused expression. "You're 23, and you want to go trick or treating?"

Blaine nodded eagerly, causing Kurt to laugh. He finally agreed, though, after getting a long speech about how candy isn't just for children, and that while Kurt was extremely sweet, Blaine couldn't really eat him. Kurt pulled out his phone, struggling to send a text to Rachel, saying that they would be back to pick her up later as Blaine dragged him outside and down the street.

Rachel decided to stay at Leah's for the night, to help her clean up and everything after the party when the boys returned to pick her up, so the boys just went back to Kurt's to relax. They were lounging on the couch, Kurt playing on some app on his phone and Blaine stuffing his face with candy.

"Blaine, you're going to get sick," Kurt warned, looking up from his phone at his boyfriend who was resting on the other end of the couch. Blaine only shrugged, popping another piece of candy in his mouth. "You'll take care of me if I do."

Kurt nodded, "yes, but I don't want you going into a sugar coma. You've already engulfed half of the bag."

Blaine sighed, noticing the worried look plastered on Kurt's face. He set the bag down on the floor and reached out for the remote, suggesting that they watch a movie. Kurt wasn't too thrilled with the movie Blaine picked out — he'd expected him to pick something less... well, creepy, like the Nightmare Before Christmas or Casper, maybe Hocus Pocus. But no, he just had to choose one of the sickest, scariest films Kurt had ever seen. While Blaine was watching intently, Kurt was huddled underneath a blanket, peeking out at the screen occasionally, only to duck back under it as he did so.

Blaine chuckled when he saw Kurt's position. "C'mere," he said gently, holding out his arms. Kurt untangled the blanket from his body and scooted into Blaine's arms,  throwing the blanket back over themselves.

"It's just a movie," Blaine said soothingly, kissing his forehead. But Kurt didn't care. It was scary, and that was more than enough to turn him away from it. He snuggled in closer to Blaine's body, pulling the blanket up further to his face. He let out a yawn, his eyes falling shut slowly. Blaine smiled down at him and whispered, "I love you." Kurt muttered something Blaine couldn't quite hear, but he thought he'd said something like 'love you too' or along those lines. He smiled again and sighed in contentment. He was happy just to lie there with the boy he was in love with cuddled up in his arms, and he shortly fell asleep along with him.

Kurt was sitting at the piano in Blaine's studio, waiting for him to pack up so they could leave. He hummed quietly to himself, occasionally swiping his fingers across the keys. It felt good to do so, he hadn't really played since high school, and that was one thing he really enjoyed apart from singing. He looked up when he heard the familiar clack of Blaine's shoes against the wooden floors and his smile brightened immediately at the sight. Blaine's bag was slung over his shoulder and he was holding his hand behind his back, which confused Kurt a little but he didn't act on it.

"Ready?" Kurt asked, swinging his legs around so he could scoot off of the bench. He raised his eyebrow when Blaine shook his head no, and he was about to comment on it but the shorter boy beat him to it.

"I know you really didn't have anything planned for us tonight... and I know you don't enjoy her music as much as I do, but I have two tickets for a Katy Perry concert tonight. Would you go with me?" he asked hopefully, his face resembling a puppy as he held out his hand, which had two paper tickets wrapped in it tightly. He knew Kurt wasn't a big fan of Katy Perry, but he didn't have anyone else to go with. He knew neither Wes or David would want to go, and the only other person he knew that was in New York besides Kurt, was Rachel, who he was definitely not taking to a concert.

Kurt's face scrunched up and Blaine's smile faltered. If Kurt didn't say yes, what was he going to do? He wasn't going to go alone, that's for sure. People would probably think he was pathetic. He could always just give the tickets away to people outside the venue. His head shot up in surprise at Kurt's response. It really wasn't the one he'd expected.

"Although it's a proven theory that Lady Gaga is much better in the talent department, I would love to go with you, Blaine."

A grin so wide it made his eyes squint slightly spread across Blaine's face and he threw his arms around Kurt's neck, repeatedly kissing the boy's cheek. This was what Blaine loved about his and Kurt's relationship — they would always compromise. It didn't matter if one boy wanted to do something that didn't really spike the other's interest, they would just go along with it anyway. Because they loved each other. And Blaine knew that after this, Kurt would probably drag him to some  museum or to the mall, but he didn't care. He got to spend time with his boyfriend, and that's all that mattered to him.

The doors opened not long after they reached the venue, and Blaine dragged Kurt straight over to the merch table. Kurt huffed, tapping his foot against the tile impatiently as he waited for Blaine to make up his mind. They'd been standing there for at least five minutes, and the line was starting to build up. Kurt couldn't understand why Blaine wouldn't just pick something — it was like they were at an ice cream parlor and all of the merchandise were different flavours.

"Would you just pick something already, please?" Kurt moaned irritably, crossing his arms over his chest. Blaine spun around, shooting him an apologetic look, mumbling 'sorry' before he turned to face the counter again. He eyed all of the souvenirs and pointed up at a black shirt which was hanging on the wall. "I'll take that one."

When Blaine finally paid for his shirt, he slipped it on over the one he was already wearing as he tugged Kurt into the arena. They found their seats fairly quickly, and they weren't really all that bad — they were on the lower level, just one level up from the floor seats, and towards the middle of the stage.

Everyone who knew Kurt was aware of his distaste for Katy Perry, though he had to admit that he was enjoying himself. Well, he was enjoying watching Blaine jump around and cheer and belt out the words to his favourite songs. Kurt found this utterly adorable, and he couldn't help but smile at the sight of his boyfriend. He would sit through as many Katy Perry concerts that Blaine dragged him to, just to see him so bubbly and happy.

Kurt groaned though, when he heard the familiar tune of Teenage Dream. It was always being overplayed on the radio, and he often found Blaine walking around absentmindedly singing or humming along to it, even with no music. But after tonight, he kind of felt himself falling in love with this song. Blaine turned to him, his curls sticking to his head with sweat and his cheeks flushed, but he was grinning. He held out his hand, tugging on Kurt's as they latched together to pull him up with him. Kurt reluctantly obliged, rolling his eyes at his over-ecstatic boyfriend, though his breath hitched slightly when Blaine started to sing along to the song, his eyes never once leaving Kurt's.

Before you met me, I was alright

But things were kinda heavy, you brought me to life

Now every February, you'll be my Valentine, Valentine

Blaine smiled, jumping around. His and Kurt's hands were still locked together, so Kurt had no choice but to jump around with him.

Let's go all the way tonight

No regrets, just love

We can dance until we die

You and I, we'll be young forever

Blaine's lips were now hovering right above Kurt's ear as he whispered the next part of the song, making Kurt's heart race quicken and his face to heat up.

You make me feel like I'm living a teenage dream

The way you turn me on, I can't sleep

Let's run away and don't ever look back

Don't ever look back

Kurt gulped, his eyes wide when Blaine growled out the 'the way you turn me on' part and his eyes fluttered shut briefly, only to shoot back open again when he heard Blaine chuckle next to him.

The rest of the concert seemed to drone on and on, and Kurt was sitting back down in his chair, his head resting on his fist as he waited for the music to stop and the concert to end. He sighed in relief when she finished the encore and the lights flickered back on. He stood almost immediately, about to rush out of there until he remembered there was a reason he was even there in the first place. Blaine. He turned to the boy, holding out his hand. Blaine took it in his after wiping his palms on his jeans to get the sweat off. He was pouting slightly, disappointed that the show had ended. But he couldn't deny that he'd had a good time, and he was still high off of adrenaline.

The boys decided to grab dinner in Times Square before heading back to Blaine's apartment to call it a night. Kurt could still feel his ears ringing with the loud, pounding music and the screams filling them. He'd sort of wished he'd have brought some aspirin with him as a headache slowly started to form. He still listened as Blaine chatted intently about his favourite parts of the concert, lingering on Teenage Dream until their meals came. They ate and talked, then decided to take a cab back to Blaine's apartment. It was getting really late, Kurt was tired, both of their feet hurt and Blaine was starting to come down from his high.

Since the two had gotten together, they stayed over at each other's places more often, though they usually opted for Blaine's since his was, well... more private. Their nights usually ended in kissing and cuddling and falling asleep during the middle of the movie they'd picked out. But neither of them would change it for the world.

The next day, the boys awoke to a slight patter on the windows. Kurt rolled over in Blaine's bed so that he was facing. He loved rainy days — especially since he and Blaine were a couple. In Kurt's opinion, rainy days were meant to be spent lounging around in pajamas (something Kurt rarely did), cuddling and watching 80's movies. Blaine, of course, had no problem with this. He loved 80's movies, and he was sort of a cuddle whore. Especially when it came to Kurt. He would definitely not object to cuddling with him for the rest of his life.

While Blaine was in the bathroom, Kurt decided to take a look around Blaine's room. He approved of most of the record and cd collections he had, and his wardrobe wasn't too bad, though Kurt thought a lot of it looked a little grandpa-ish. He continued searching through the closet, coming to a halt when he spotted a box lying ontop of a container. He smiled and pulled the box towards him carefully. It's probably Blaine's bowtie collection.

But when he opened the box, he was surprised at what he saw. Instead of an enormous amount of bowties like he'd expected, the box was littered with pictures. He set the box down on the bed, sitting down beside it as he shuffled through the pictures. Most of them were of a boy — who Kurt only guessed was Blaine, going by the hair and eyes.

There were all kinds of pictures — from when he was an infant, to his elementary school days, to pictures of Blaine with what looked to be his brother. He was guessing it was his brother — they had a similiar facial structure, then to the last few pictures. Blaine was surrounded by a bunch of boys sporting navy blazers. He wrinkled his nose. Navy blazers with red piping? Ugh. But Kurt didn't know what he should've expected — he knew that Dalton was an all boys prep school. He was also guessing that the boys in the picture were all of Blaine's friends from the Warblers — he'd even spotted Wes and David in there somewhere.

He jerked his head back when he heard the bathroom door squeak open and Blaine walked out, rubbing his hands on his pajama bottoms. "Whatcha looking at?"

Kurt smiled, holding up the pictures. Blaine smiled back fondly, moving the box over so he could sit down next to Kurt. He handed the pictures over and Blaine shuffled through them, reminiscing on all the times he'd spent with his friends and his childhood. His face turned a bright red when he reached the first picture. He set the photos down on the bed and covered his face with his hands. God, that's embarrassing.

Kurt's smiled faltered and he quirked his eyebrow at his boyfriends actions. What was he embarrassed about? His gaze shifted down to the pictures and a small smile tugged at his lips. Oh. The picture was of Blaine when he was about two, sitting on the floor in the kitchen, a metal pan resting atop of his head, a spoon in his hand. He was also covered from head to toe in chocolate. Kurt giggled and he reached out to pull Blaine's hands away from his face.

"Oh, come on, Blaine," he said softly, "I'm sure my dad has pictures of me that are way more embarrassing than that, and that isn't even all that embarrassing! It's quite the opposite, actually. I think it's cute." He leaned in to press his and Blaine's noses together, locking eyes. Blaine's hands were still resting in his own and he gave them a gentle squeeze. "I think you're cute," he added softly, nuzzling their noses together.
