It had been a week since Wes and Rachel had set Blaine and him up on the date, and Kurt was frustrated. Blaine was sending him mixed signals; one moment, he would be cold and distant, with a pained and nervous look in his eyes and then the next he was fine and being flirty. Most of the time with Blaine was spent with Blaine almost kissing him, but pulling away quickly just as their lips brushed up against each other. So yeah, Kurt thought he had the right to be annoyed with the boy. It wasn't as if he didn't understand that Blaine was having a rough time, what with Sebastian and everything, but he still didn't understand why Blaine wouldn't just kiss him, if it was so clear that he wanted to.
He was also aware that he could just lean in and do it himself, but with the way Blaine was acting and retreating so quickly, he wasn't sure if it would really be a good idea. He debated confronting the boy about it, but thought it better if he just left it alone, not wanting to possibly make things more awkward between them. But he had to do something. He couldn't just sit around and wait... well, he could, but he honestly didn't want to. He would wait for Blaine, sure, but if it was taking this long for the other boy to just kiss him, then he had to do something about it; especially since Wes and Rachel's plan hadn't quite worked out the way it was intended.
Ideas swam through Kurt's mind as he headed to the club one night. When he came up with something, he sent a quick text to Blaine, asking if he would come to the club. When he got the reply saying that the would, though there was clear confusion in the way he'd responded, he smiled to himself. He hoped that this plan would work, that it would break Blaine out of his shell, but he hoped more so that he actually showed up.
He avoided everyone who had tried to converse with him upon his arrival at the club, and instead dashed to the dressing room for some extra time to perfect his performance of the night. Once he was satisfied with his routine, he cleared his face from the sweat that was starting to roll down his neck, and made sure his hair was back in place. Once doing so, he trotted over to the closet, swinging the metal doors open. Hung inside was a leather suit and Kurt smirked slightly as he grabbed the suit and pulled it on.
Peeking out from behind the curtain, Kurt scanned the room, a smile forming on his lips as he spotted a familiar mop of dark curls seated somewhere in the middle of the audience. He braced himself when he was given his cue to enter the stage, hoping this event didn't have the opposite affect of what he wanted on Blaine.
His eyes darted around the audience and he immediately locked eyes with a blonde, blue-eyed man on the left side of the stage. He strutted over to the man and swung his hips around to the beat before crouching down, swiping his finger across the man's jaw with a mischievous look in his eyes as he sang along with the music.
I wanna see your peacock, cock, cock
Your peacock, cock,
Your peacock, cock, cock
Your peacock
He hopped back up to his feet and traveled across the stage, grinding his hips and running his hands down his body. After swinging around on the pole a few times, he let go and ripped off the suit, tossing it to the side of the stage without caring if it would get ruined or not. He wasn't planning on wearing it anytime after this performance, so he wasn't worried about it. Now he was only wearing a white tank-top which showed off his muscles, short, shiny black shorts and black leather boots that went up to his calves.
His eyes found Blaine once again and he waggled his eyebrows, licking his lips before he stared singing along with Katy Perry once more.
Word on the street, you got something to show me, me
Magical, colourful, Mr. Mystery
I'm iintrigued, for a peek, heard it's fascinating
Come on, baby, let me see what you're hidin' underneath
With one last suggestive glance in Blaine's direction, he looked away and started to focus on the dancing.

Blaine all but choked when Kurt stepped out onto the stage, clad in a leather suit that fit him in all the right places. He blinked rapidly, resisting the urge to moan at the sight. He was sexy. Sure, Kurt was always sexy, but there was just something about this suit that made him start to feel lightheaded, and now... now he was having trouble trying to calm himself down. His eyes were glued to Kurt and he sucked in a breath as he watched his movements.
Jealousy and anger started to bubble inside of him as he watched Kurt openly flirt with somebody in the front row. He had no idea why he was angry. He had the right to feel jealous, as he was wishing so badly that he was in the man's place, but angry? Why was he angry? And why was he starting to feel possessive? Kurt wasn't his, he didn't own him, so he was free to flirt with whomever he chose. Calm down, he told himself. Kurt isn't your boyfriend, stop acting like this and do something about it.
Instead of staying after the show and pulling Kurt into a fierce kiss once he laid his eyes on him, Blaine swiftly grabbed his jacket and fled. There were so many thoughts clouding his mind, and he was having trouble focusing on driving and not wrecking into anything. He made it home successfully and when he was safely inside his apartment, he trudged into the bathroom, cupping his hands and tossing cold water in his face. He dried off, hoping that would calm him down some.
Unfortunately, it hadn't, and he'd barely gotten into his bedroom before his hand was in his pants, jacking off to images of Kurt in the leather suit, his lips on his cock, and ripping that damn suit off of the boy.

Kurt was disappointed when he realized Blaine hadn't stayed for his whole performance, but he thought about how he'd done exactly what he wanted to; to get Blaine worked up like that. He knew it was evil, getting so much enjoyment out of it, but he was hoping it would get Blaine to realize that he needed to take it another step further in his and Kurt's relationship.
After showering and readying himself the next morning, he and Rachel set off for a day of shopping. It started off in Macy's, then Rachel was dragging him over to H&M. Kurt sighed as he watched Rachel ogle flowery dresses, skirts and sweaters. He preferred the more high-end garments, and he would never be caught dead wearing anything from this store. Finally, he got Rachel to join him in shops that were more... Kurt-esque. Such as Guess and Armani, Marc Jacobs, and Michael Kors.
The two made a quick stop in Mood, grabbing some fabric he thought fit for his latest creation. After purchasing his items, he and Rachel headed off to find a restaurant for lunch. Apparently Rachel thought it would be a good idea to bring up the subject of Blaine after they ordered their drinks. The boy sighed and rubbed at his eyes tiredly.
"I don't know what's going on," he told his friend, because honestly, he really didn't. "You know how I've said he's almost kissed me quite a few times?"
Rachel said nothing, but nodded hastily, willing Kurt to continue.
"There's been no progress."
Rachel frowned, reaching out her arm and placing her tiny hand over top of Kurt's. "I'm so sorry, Kurt," she mumbled sadly. She really did feel bad for Kurt — he hadn't been this happy since they first moved to New York. Ever since Kurt had met Blaine, the boy was smiling and laughing more often, and that's what Rachel wanted for her best friend. She wanted Kurt to be happy, and she knew that he was happy with Blaine. Rachel, at the moment, though, was unhappy with Blaine. She liked him, of course, and he was a good friend now. She genuinely cared for the boy, and she wanted him to be happy just as much as she wanted Kurt to be. But right now, Kurt was visibly upset about this whole thing, and Rachel wasn't sure if Blaine realized what he was doing or not, but she wanted him to stop getting Kurt's hopes up if he wasn't going to act on his feelings. She knew from the start that the two boys would be good for each other, perfect even, and she wished they would just get together already.
Kurt just waved her off, sipping his Diet Coke and stabbing a piece of lettuce lightly with his fork. Once the two had finished with their meals, they paid the bill and Rachel suggested they just head back to the apartment, which Kurt was grateful for.
A few hours later, Rachel's friends called asking if she wanted to go out for a drink. She agreed and suggested Kurt go with them, but he declined. Instead, he opted for lounging on the couch and moping. Just like he'd done before because of Blaine. He really needed to stop doing that. It wasn't healthy.

Blaine was practically running a rut in the carpet from pacing so much. His fingers rubbed at his temple and he was muttering to himself, occasionally stealing a glance over at his phone which was lying on the table. He wanted to call Kurt, he wanted to call him so badly, but every time he'd attempt it, he would just back out again. So here he was, pacing back and forth and mumbling incoherent words like a mad man. But maybe he was a mad man. He surely looked like one. His clothes were wrinkled, his eyes full of exhaustion and his hair was sticking out in every direction.
He looked back over at his phone, this time noticing something different. Lying on the table next to his phone, was Mowgli. He wasn't really supposed to be on the table, but Blaine was too busy panicking to scold the cat. "I'm such a coward," his whispered to his pet, earning a soft purr in response. Blaine laughed lightly and shook his head, scratching behind the cat's ears. He continued to purr and he started nudging Blaine's phone with his paw. All of a sudden, Blaine heard ringing and grabbed his phone quickly, causing Mowgli to scurry away. He looked down at the phone, Kurt's name and picture taking over the screen. His eyes trailed in the direction of Mowgli, his jaw hanging slightly.
Blaine hadn't realized he'd been zoning out until Kurt's soft, velvety voice rang through his ears.
"Blaine? Hello? Earth to Blaine!"
Blaine rubbed the back of his neck and licked his lips, "Kurt! Um... sorry... about that. I kind of zoned out, and I didn't even call you. That was my cat... not that I didn't want to call you. I did. I was just too scared to." He mentally smacked himself when he'd finished rambling. Idiot.
"Oh?"
"Yeah... uh, listen — do you mind coming over? I want to talk to you about something, in person."
Thankfully Kurt had agreed, and said he would be over soon. When they hung up, Blaine tossed his phone to the side, sliding down the wall, his hands covering his face. What was he going to say when Kurt got there? He hadn't intended to call Kurt. He wanted to call him, but like he said earlier, he was too afraid to do so. But maybe this was a good thing — he didn't see how, especially because he had no idea what he was going to do, but he very well couldn't back out now.
He thought about lying, but he didn't want to lie to Kurt. He couldn't lie to him. A million thoughts were running through his mind and he yelped when he heard a knock on the door. He closed his eyes and took a deep breath, bracing himself. There was definitely no backing out now. He stood up and attempted to fix his hair, but it was a hopeless case. Sighing, he made his way to the front room and pulled open the door.
He took in Kurt's appearance when the door swung open and he, of course, looked perfect. He always looked perfect. And Blaine thought it was going to be much harder focusing on telling Kurt what he wanted to say with him looking so beautiful. He stood back and pulled the door open further to let him inside. Kurt gave him a small smile as he entered and Blaine couldn't help but smile back. Even being as nervous as he was, it was a real, genuine smile.
Leading Kurt into the living room, he told him to make himself comfortable while he went to fetch them both drinks.
Blaine's breath caught in his throat as he ventured back into the living room. The light seeping through the blinds were reflecting off of Kurt's pale skin, making him look like an actual porcelain doll. He stared for a while longer before he shook himself out of it. They needed to talk right now, and he would have plenty of time to stare at Kurt later.
Kurt smiled in thanks when Blaine handed him his drink and he sipped at it gingerly. They sat in silence for a few minutes, Blaine going over what he wanted to say in his head. It wasn't really the matter of figuring out what he was going to say, he was just going to make it plain and simple, but he hoped it didn't just come out as word vomit. He'd already embarrassed himself enough for one day, while on the phone with Kurt, he didn't need to add anything on to that, and not in person. Especially not in person.
"Kurt... I'm sorry for how I've acted this past week. I like you, I really do. It's just—"
Before he had time to explain, Kurt interrupted. "I get it," he smiled weakly. Blaine stared at him, his eyebrow quirked. He got over the confusion after a moment and opened his mouth to speak again.
"No, you don't," he shook his head, holding his finger up when he noticed Kurt about to interrupt again. "Just listen, please? Like I said, I like you, Kurt. And I want to be with you, so much. I'm just... afraid. You're the best thing that's ever happened to me, and I — what if something goes wrong? I don't want to lose you, Kurt. I wouldn't be able to handle that. I need you so much."
Kurt stayed quiet as he listened to Blaine, taking in everything that he was saying. Most people would think Blaine was moving too fast, since the boys had only known each other for a few months. But not Kurt. Because he felt the same way. He sat in there for a moment or two, thinking about a life without Blaine. He shuddered — it was awful. He couldn't understand how he'd gotten through before meeting Blaine.
"You're not going to lose me," he assured, taking Blaine's hand in his own. "You're my best friend — don't tell Rachel I said that — and I don't want to lose you, either. You know, this is the happiest I've been since Rach and I moved here," he admitted, a bit sheepishly. "We don't have to rush anything, Blaine, if that's what you're worried about."
That wasn't it, though. Yes, he was worried about things going too fast, but that wasn't his main focus. He was so afraid that, if he and Kurt did start dating, that they would get into an huge argument about something, or that he would say something so wrong that it put Kurt off completely, and he would leave. Blaine was scared to death that he would lose Kurt forever. Sure, he had promised that Blaine wasn't going to lose him, but people have promised lots of things to Blaine in the past, promises from people who were important to him.
He started rambling about his insecurities, but he was silenced by Kurt's lips pressing up against his own. The kiss was sweet, definitely better than the last one they had shared, and Blaine instantly relaxed at the feeling of Kurt's soft lips gliding across his own. It seemed to end all too soon — well, in Blaine's opinion, and he pouted over at Kurt when he pulled away. Kurt only laughed, leaning in for another kiss, which definitely lasted longer than the last, much to Blaine's delight. When they pulled away for the second time, they were both panting lightly, and Blaine felt slightly dizzy. He couldn't help but smile, though. Kurt was everything he could ever ask for, and more.
"So... does that make us boyfriends?"
"No."
Blaine was taken aback at Kurt's response. No? After everything that had just happened, Kurt said no? He wasn't sure if he was more hurt or confused. Why did he say no? He looked up at Kurt, even more confused with the way he was smiling.
"Kurt, what—"
"You have to take me out on a date first, silly."

To say Kurt was nervous was an understatement. At the moment, he was sitting backstage in front of the vanity, applying the rest of his make up. It was opening night, and he felt like throwing up. He tried to calm himself down, but nothing was keeping his attention for very long. There were about 10 minutes until the show started, and he couldn't stop thinking about messing up his lines, or forgetting them all together. He pictured himself onstage, forgetting dance moves and lyrics and now he was completely freaking out. He had half the mind to back out, but he knew that he couldn't do that. He'd worked so hard for this, he couldn't just not perform.
He stepped out into the stage with the other cast members in the first scene, trying to focus on the script instead of the large crowd watching him. He took a deep breath and opened his mouth to speak.
At intermission, he walked backstage with his head held high, and a smile plastered across his face. He honestly couldn't believe how well that had gone. He thought that he was going to mess something up for sure, and he was glad that the first half had passed by so smoothly. He grabbed a bottle of water and flopped down onto the couch, going over the lines a few more times until he had to go back out for the second half. Since he didn't have a scene at the beginning, he had more time to make sure everything was perfect.
And it was. The audience was cheering wildly, and it was slightly overwhelming to Kurt. He'd never gotten a response like this, and he was getting high off of the clapping and cheering and screaming of the fans. The cast was huddled together backstage, jumping and cheering like five year olds who had just found out that they were going to Disney World.
Before Kurt had time to even react, he felt somebody wrap their arms around him and he almost fell over from the force. His vision was a bit blurry as he stumbled backwards, only being able to tell who the person was by the loud squealing in his ear. "Kurt! Oh my god, that was amazing!"
Kurt pulled out of the hug, and looked down at Rachel, who was grinning so much he thought her face might be stuck like that. Her smile was infectious though, and he beamed back. "Thank you! I didn't expect such an... outstanding reaction. I'd already convinced myself from the start that I was going to blow it."
"But you didn't! Oh, Kurt. That was incredible."
Once again, Kurt felt arms wrap around his waist from behind. This time he turned his head to come face to face with Blaine, who was grinning. Kurt leaned in to catch Blaine's lips on his. When they pulled away, Blaine was staring at him lovingly. "You killed it," he stated, causing a light blush to rise on Kurt's cheeks. Blaine pulled up his arm that was dangling at his side, revealing a bouquet of roses. Kurt had been too immersed in kissing his boyfriend to notice the flowers. He took them from Blaine, sticking his nose in the bunch. "Oh, Blaine. Thank you." He threw his arms around Blaine's neck, only pulling away when somebody cleared their throat from behind the boys.
Standing next to Rachel, was Andy, whose head was tilted to the side at Blaine and Kurt. Kurt groaned inwardly; he was still high from everyone's reactions to the show, and he didn't need Andy ruining it for him. "Hello, Andy," he greeted with a roll of his eyes. The other man just stood there, seeming to be waiting for Kurt to introduce his friends. Why did that even matter? Kurt didn't have to introduce anyone to Andy. He was dating Blaine, not Andy. He wasn't compelled to do anything.
"Andy, this is my best friend, Rachel," he gestured to the girl, who, of course, gave her usual introduction to Andy. He didn't even pretend to be listening, just waiting for Kurt to introduce him to the boy in his arms. "And this," he looked down at Blaine with a smile, "is Blaine. My boyfriend."
Kurt couldn't help but smirk at the way Andy had reacted. His face was now white, and his mouth was hanging open. Hopefully with this information, Andy would leave him alone. "O-oh. Well, I-I'll just... be going, then, he stammered. And with that, he sped out of there.
Rachel and Blaine were both staring after him. "Well, that was weird," noted Blaine. Rachel nodded in response, but they didn't dwell on it for too long, and they changed the subject rather quickly. "Let's go celebrate!"
