Author's Notes: Chapter End Notes: Thoughts??

No.
No, don't wake up.
Keep your eyes closed.
Don't let the light force you awake.
Breathe deeply and stay asleep for as long as you can.
Because he's there when you're asleep.
He's holding you in his arms.
He loves you.
He won’t be there when you wake up.
You know he’s not.

“Cam…”

Good, you’re falling back asleep.

“Cameron…”

Or…

“Baby, I know you’re awake…”

“Jamie?” he frowned and dared to peek up from where he was resting on the blonde alpha’s chest to look into his eyes, smiling down at him and he gasped, clenching his fist tighter into the worn gray fabric of Jamie’s shirt “You’re here.”

“Why do you sound so surprised? I promised I wouldn’t leave you.” Jamie said hugging him closer, feeling his slim body shiver in his arms.

“I thought it was a dream.” He whispered nuzzling his neck and planting a gentle kiss to the soft skin there “I thought you’d be gone.”

“Never.” Jamie said and in a single move, flipped them over so that Cameron ended up on his back, staring up at his mate looming over him.

He gently lifted his fingers and ran them down Cameron’s sleep flushed cheek, marveling at the blush that spread out like a trail behind his touch.

Fingertips grazed thick eyelashes fanned around those gorgeous golden eyes, tapped the tip of an adorable, upturned nose and touched silk soft, parted lips, a breath escaping between them and caressing his skin.

“You’re so beautiful.” He whispered in awe and Cameron trembled, shaking his head slightly with a shy smile.

“Stop it…” he chuckled nervously, trying to get Jamie to stop staring at him like that.

“Nope, you’re stuck with me forever and ever and I plan to spend every day telling you how gorgeous you are.” Jamie said playfully and Cam swatted his hand weakly, his entire body set on fire with every touch.

“M’not.” Cam managed to fight back halfheartedly before his lips were claimed in a searing kiss, Jamie’s tongue probing gently and finally gaining entrance as he wrapped his strong arms around the lithe body beneath him and Cameron swore, in that moment that he’d be willing to die then and there now that he knew what those lips tasted like.

“Yes you are.” Jamie broke the kiss long enough to whisper it before diving back in again, lifting his body to move on top of his mate completely before they lost themselves in each other.

Jamie knew that he was pushing his luck because they weren’t supposed to have sex before the mating ceremony but the way Cameron smelled in that moment, wanting and needy and ready to belong to him completely drove him crazy.

He could feel his nails lengthening and digging into Cameron’s soft sides as he held him kissing his neck and leaving a trail of bite marks behind him.

Everybody would know Cam was his.

Nobody would ever touch him again.

Long fingers tangled themselves into his hair, pulling frantically and gasping his name and he knew he should stop but e couldn’t bring himself to.

“Cam…Cam tell me to stop. God…please…” he whispered as his hands snuck under his mate’s shirt and ran sharp claws down the soft skin now dusted with light hair and it was obvious Cameron was too far gone to stop him.

“No…no don’t stop…want you…need you…mine…” he growled, arching off the bed and pushing his body closer to his mate wanting nothing more than to belong to him completely.

He wanted to be owned, wanted everyone to know he had someone of his own after waiting for him for so long.

His mate wanted him back and his wolf whined happily, taking over control and baring his neck to show submission and if the loud growl Jamie let out was anything to go by is mate was more than willing to claim him then and there.

Their kissing turned frantic, the sounds of fabric ripping and bed creaking intercepted with desperate moans and pleas.

And then…

“Khm…” sounded from the door and the two boys recognized that voice even in their needy, half wolf state.

They jumped apart, chests heaving as they struggled for breath and cheeks coloring red as they stared at their First sheepishly.

Blaine chuckled at them, understanding perfectly how they felt, as he entered the room and walked over to sit on the large sofa in the far corner.

“I’m sorry I had to stop you…” he said softly and the two of them nodded knowing that it had to be done and feeling like idiots for losing control like that.

“It’s okay. We…um…” Jamie started awkwardly but Blaine held his hands up to stop him.

“There’s no need to explain. I have a mate of my own driving me crazy. I know how hard it is to keep yourself in check.” He smiled at them in understanding and the newly mated pair looked at him gratefully, clasping their hands and leaning closer again.

“Thank you Blaine. I…we’ll be okay, we just…well I couldn’t stop and…” Cam started rambling and Jamie placed a gentle hand over his lips to stop him knowing that once the younger boy got caught up in his explanation it could be a while until he’s done.

But what got to the blonde the most was the fact that he made it sound like he was the only one who was affected, like he was the only one who couldn’t resist when it couldn’t be further from the truth.

“It wasn’t just you. You drive me crazy Cam. I could barely think with you holding me like that. Just… never doubt that I love you and want you just as much as you do me.” he whispered with a conviction in his voice so strong the younger boy smiled at him and nodded, leaning into him and snuggling into his arms.

“I guess Kurt’s fear might be justified after all.” He chuckled and the pair looked at him in question.

“He was afraid you two would be cuter than we are. And now I see it. You are a worthy competition.”

“Damn right we are. We’re adorable.” Jamie fist pumped and Cam swatted his chest giggling softly.

“I still think Niff beats all of us. Those two are nauseating.” He mussed and the other two gave it a thought before scrunching their noses and nodding.

“I think you’ve got a point there. They set the adorableness bar quite high.” Blaine laughed and they spent the next few minutes just joking around and laughing happily until Blaine got serious again.

“Guys there’s a reason I came here.” He started, running a hand through his hair.

“We figured that Alpha. What is it?” Cam asked looking at his mate lovingly.

“I know it’s none of my business, and that you just mated but as your friend I wanted to see if you thought about who your source of power will be. You still have some time before you stop responding to the Omegas and the Betas from the pack the way you do now, but I wanted to make sure you found one before it starts hurting you.” he said and the two of them nodded.

“I um…I have a cousin who’s an Omega…we grew up together and I adore her…and um… back when I first mentioned Cam to her she said that she’d be happy to be the source for us if we ended up mating. Cam would that be okay with you? I mean are you willing to meet her?” Jamie asked knowing that it really wasn’t about agreeing or not. They had to meet the source together and see if their wolves responded to each other.

But Cameron wasn’t really listening to him because he was grinning like a fool over the fact Jamie talked about him before they were mated.

“You talked about me?” he gasped happily and Jamie chuckled pecking his lips.

“Yes I did. Like all the time. Gina knows everything about you.” he said and Cameron beamed at him making the blonde fall even more in love with him.

“I’d love to meet her. And if everything goes right I’d love to have her as our source.” He smiled and the two gazed into each other’s eyes so lovingly Blaine felt like he was intruding on something so intimate he just wanted to give them space.

Shuffling towards the door he waved awkwardly.

“I’ve got to go now. I just wanted to check on you guys before I leave. Kurt and I will be away for the day, he’s meeting my parents today so if you need anything call my cell. The rest of the pack will be fine but you just mated so I want you safe. Okay?” he asked adding just a bit of his power into his words making the other two nod in agreement.

“We’ll call Alpha don’t worry.” Jamie said kindly and Cam nodded.

“Good luck with the parents. I’m sure they’ll love Kurt.” he smiled and Blaine thanked them before exiting the room and walking towards the parking lot where Kurt was already waiting for him bouncing in excitement and nerves.

He chuckled when he saw how pale he looked, how his eyes seemed a bit frantic and his fingers were alternating between sporting sharp claws and perfectly manicured nails.

He was obviously frightened.

“Hey Snowflake.” He whispered gently before scooping his jittery mate into his arms “You need to calm down or you’re gonna spontaneously combust. And leave me mateless. I don’t want to be mateless Kurt. I got used to your snoring.”

“What??? I do not snore. And I’m not nervous.” He huffed and Blaine arched an eyebrow at him in question making him blush.

“Okay maybe a little.” He said before shaking his head “the nerves, not the snoring. I don’t snore.”

“Of course you don’t.” Blaine agreed and Kurt swatted his hand.

“Shut up. You kick in your sleep and I have a bruise to prove it.” he argued back and Blaine laughed holding him closer, and leaning next to his ear, kissing the sensitive shell and making him shiver.

“I’m so very sorry about that. If we make it out alive I’ll kiss it better tonight.” He whispered and Kurt moaned a bit at the feeling of teeth nipping his lobe.

“Good…you better…WAIT…what do you mean IF we make it out alive? Are they gonna skin me and turn me into one of those rugs with heads and legs. I don’t want to be a rug Blaine.” he whined and Blaine laughed out loud pushing him towards the car gently.

“They won’t skin you alive Kurt.” he rolled his eyes “And if they do I’ll petition to make you into mittens. Much cooler than rugs.”

He smiled teasingly and winked at Kurt who threw his best bitch glare at him, crossing his arms in offence.

“I hate you.”

“No you don’t.”

“Yes I do…now drive before I change my mind and stay here…” he pointed a finger in Blaine’s direction and the young Alpha turned the car on, pulling out of the parking lot and starting down the street as he listened to Kurt mutter to himself, the only words understandable being “asshole”, “hate” and “mittens”.

He adored his mate and he was sure his parents would feel the same.

“Oh my god! Oh. My. God. Blaine is this your house??” Kurt screeched as the pulled up in front of a beautiful, three stories house that looked like something from a fairytale rather than someone’s home.

The house was gorgeous, made out of different, smaller parts such as a little tower on the far left and a veranda on the side of the house adorned in glass and filled with potted plants, some reaching almost all the way to the ceiling.

The combination of off white walls with a light gray roof gave it an air of class and sophistication and Kurt couldn’t help but fall in love with the taste of whoever chose it and decorated it.

“You like it?” Blaine pulled to a stop and turned to Kurt who gapped through the window, turning his head left and right to take in everything the Anderson Pack property had to offer.

“You’re kidding right??” Kurt smirked in his direction “I love it. It’s beautiful.”

“Well do you want to go inside or stay here all day?” Blaine laughed and all of a sudden Kurt remembered why they were there and his stomach turned.

“No, we can stay here. It’ cozy.” He mumbled and Blaine let out a loud laugh before stepping out of the car, walking around it, opening Kurt’s door and kneeling down in front of him, taking his shaking hands into his own.

“Kurt baby, look at me.” he let out the Alpha in him to shift to the surface, coercing the timid Omega to come out and let him take care of him.

Magnificent blue eyes trailed up until Blaine felt the full power of their stare resting on his own.

“My parents just want me to be happy. And you, sweetie, make me happier than I’ve ever been. So they’re gonna love you.” he said with all the conviction he could muster.

He was starting to feel the muscles in his mate relax and his body sagged a bit in his seat. He was about to pull him out of the car when a familiar scent caught his attention and a soft, amused voice drifted towards them.

“Of course we’re gonna love him. A face like that?? You’re lucky he wants you back cub.” A woman in her late thirties stood behind Blaine, pixie face framed with chocolate colored, wild curls and the amber in her eyes was unmistakable.

Blaine’s mom.

She was dressed in a flower patterned skirt, knee high, yellow boots and a green sweater making her look like a hippie but at the same time incredibly classy and cute.

“Mom. We’re not even out of the car and you’re already embarrassing me.” Blaine whined petulantly but the smile dancing on his face could be seen from miles away as he reluctantly pulled away from his mate and walked straight to his mother to give her a huge hug, lifting her off the ground.

Kurt watched them greet with a soft smile on his face, his nerves slowly calming down as he stepped out of the car and waited for the mother and son to finish saying hi.

“That could take a while.” A voice said next to him and Kurt jumped, whirling around to face his “attacker”.

“Sorry. I should have stepped on a twig or something. I didn’t mean to scare you.” Kurt was faced with a tall, ebony haired man, with warm green eyes, looking larger than life with all the muscles and rough strength he seemed to release into the air around him just by standing.

“N-no it’s okay. I-I’m here with B-Blaine.” Kurt stammered out wishing that Blaine would just hurry up and take him into the house to meet his parents and get it over with because at this rate he was gonna have a panic attack.

“I know. You’re Kurt right?” the man stuck out his hand and Kurt eyed it suspiciously.

“Yeah. How did you know?” he asked and the man smiled a nice looking smile Kurt thought looked vaguely familiar.

“I’m Nathan. Blaine’s dad.” The man smile and Kurt bugged his eyes at him, reaching out quickly to shake his hand and try not to make an even bigger ass of himself than he already did.

“Oh my god I’m so sorry…that was so rude of me… I didn’t know it was you and…” he babbled, all the while shaking the man’s hand eagerly and Nathan laughed warmly before placing a hand on Kurt’s shoulder.

“Relax. No need to apologize. I just figured I’d keep you company until those two are done saying hi. I swear to god it lasts longer and longer every time they see each other.” Nathan laughed and Kurt turned around to look at his mate as he giggled with his mother about god knows what.

“How long haven’t they seen each other?” Kurt asked warmed by how much Blaine missed his mom.

“’Bout a week.” Nathan rolled his eyes and Kurt barked an incredulous laugh.

“ A week? Seriously?” Kurt gapped and Nathan nodded.

“You should see them after a month.” He teased and Kurt threw his head back laughing at his exasperated expression.

“Are you talking trash about us?” Blaine’s mom came towards them, Blaine walking after her, giggling like crazy at something and looking at his mate hanging with his dad looking completely relaxed.

“You know it.” Nathan said and walked to his wife, pecking her lips.

“You always weasel your way out of trouble with kisses.” She pouted through a smile and her husband hugged her close winking at Kurt.

“Pay attention Kurt. These two…can be bought very easily. A few kisses and you can get away with murder.”

“I’ll remember that.” Kurt smiled while Blaine threw an offended “hey” in his father’s direction making them all laugh.

“Well now that you taught my mate how to get out of trouble with me, I should introduce him to mom so let her go, would you.” Blaine scoffed and his father released his mate who immediately walked over to Kurt and pulled him into a tight hug.

“It’s a pleasure to meet you, sweetie. My son has good taste.” She said playfully before pulling him tighter into her arms and whispering into his ear “Thank you so much for completing him and making him happy.”

The gratitude in her voice forced tears into his eyes and he nodded hugging her back and promising quietly to always make him happy.

“Okay let’s move this inside.” Nathan called out to them and Blaine walked over to Kurt holding him close while his dad embraced his mother giving the newly mated couple a few moments alone.

“You okay?” Blaine asked quietly and Kurt smiled making Blaine’s heart skip with how beautiful he was like that.

“I’m perfect. Your parents are amazing Blaine.” he said and Blaine chuckled.

“They are a bit crazy. But I love them.” He answered and Kurt nodded in understanding, knowing full well how lovable craziness could be.

Together they walked into the house behind Blaine’s parents who led them to a perfectly illuminated, stylishly decorated sitting room.

Decorated in tones of white, light gray with green accent details it looked like it came straight out of a magazine.

“Wow. Your home is beautiful Mrs. Anderson.” He told the tiny woman and she waved her hand at him dismissively.

“It’s Elena honey. I’m still too young to be a Mrs. Anderson. And thank you. I drew most of the furniture myself and then we had it custom made.” She said and Kurt gapped at her in wonder.

“Really. Oh wow. You’re seriously talented.” He told he and she smiled gratefully, her cheeks turning pink.

“Thank you sweetie. Now. How about I get you guys something to drink and we can sit and talk and get to know each other better.” She said and Blaine nodded, leading Kurt to a plush loveseat and settling in it with his mate almost sitting on his lap.

Kurt squirmed trying to get away but Blaine held him tighter.

“Relax.” He said softly but Kurt tried to warm out again.

“Blaine your parents are here. We can’t sit like this.” He complained childishly.

“Kurt we’re a wolf pack. We’re constantly hanging off each other and touching and cuddling. This won’t be strange to him. But if you’re uncomfortable I’ll let you go.” He said and loosened his hold on the Omega.

Kurt thought for a second, remembering Warbler meetings and the amount of touching that went down between everyone in the pack.

He wasn’t used to it but he figured if he’ll be a part of a pack he should probably start getting comfortable with that.

He shook his head and snuggled into Blaine’s chest just as his parents walked back in with coffee and sat opposite of them, cuddling on the couch.

“So, Kurt. Tell us a bit about yourself. Our Blainers here didn’t get much further than how pretty you were so we’re a bit short on the details.” Elena laughed and Blaine stuck his tongue out at her making Kurt laugh.

“Um…I don’t really know what to say. I’m 17, from Lima, I live with my dad, my stepmom and my stepbrother. My mom died when I was little.” He listed off the usual information you’d give someone when you first met them but that didn’t seem enough for Elena since she kept on asking questions from his hobbies, to his plans for the future, to his taste in books, movies and everything else under the sun.

Soon enough she knew him better than some people he went to school for years and he felt at ease with her and Nathan, trading childhood stories and laughing at baby pictures of Blaine while his mate blushed next to him.

Before they knew it the afternoon turned into evening and they moved to the kitchen to make dinner while Kurt used the time to find out more about them.

“I hope it’s not rude to ask but how come your house is so big? How many rooms are there?” he asked as he stirred the sauce.

“Umm I believe around 25, or thirty. This used to be a motel so we just renovated it when we bought it. The Firsts in the pack usually have a lot of space because pack members like to stay with them sometimes. Like when they first join the pack to get used to the new leader, or when they first have a baby to get the baby used to the smell of the First, or to accommodate members of other packs when they’re passing by or visiting. It’s easier to have a big house.” She said and Kurt hummed in agreement with her logic.

“So is there anyone living here now?” he asked when they settled themselves around the table to eat.

“Two families. One just moved here for business reasons and joined the pack and one of our own just had a baby a few days ago so they’re here.” Nathan said, carving the roast and serving everyone a piece.

“Well…aren’t they gonna eat with us?” he asked and Elena took his hand gently.

“They left the house for the day. We wanted to scare you the least possible and a house full of unfamiliar wolves can be pretty terrifying.” She told him kindly and he frowned.

“You didn’t need to do that for me…I don’t want to cause trouble to someone..” he said quietly and Nathan laughed while Blaine took his hand under the table and gave his fingers a squeeze.

“We didn’t ask Kurt. They offered themselves. You need to know that everybody is really excited Blaine found you. They want you to feel comfortable around us and they’re willing to go a bit out of their way to make sure you are. Don’t feel guilty. They’re happy to do it.” Nathan said and Kurt smiled, warmed by the acceptance and the love he felt floating around in the air since the moment he stepped out of the car.

The rest of the dinner went by in laughter, sharing stories and making plans to meet again.

As Blaine led him out to the car and he turned to hug both of Blaine’s parents he felt, for the first time in his life, a tug towards a pack; a desire to belong to one and to be a part of something so big and yet so intimate and tight knit.

He felt like his future looked better than ever when he leaned in and kissed his mate full on the lips when he stopped at the stop sign in front of his home, his parents waving behind them until they pulled out into the street and left.

“ So…that went well.” Elena said to her mate when the turned to walk back into the house.

“Sure did. He seems like an awesome guy and I’ve never seen Blaine so happy.” Nathan answered and she nodded with a smile, her eyes suddenly focused and determined.

“You know what this means Nate right?” she asked and he hugged her nodding his head in confirmation.

“I know. And I pray to god it works.” He told her and she kissed his lips smiling brightly, confident in a way he had never seen her be before.

“It will. It has to.”
