Sam tapped his fingertips on the kitchen table in agitation. His head was bent and he hadnt spoken in ten minutes.

"Look, buddy, I know this is hard for you," Blaine finally broke the silence. "But sooner or later, you have to go home and face the music."

"I just dont know if I can, okay?" Sam snapped. Running a hand over his face, he sighed, "Look, dude, Im sorry. Its just that Ive been through a lot of relationships and they never work out. Quinn, Brittany, Penny, and Mercedes... Every time I think were going to work out, we dont."

"Maybe its not meant to be," Blaine shrugged. "You two have been on and off."

"You dont know what its like. Kurt proposed to you so fast that it didnt matter. I proposed to Brittany once because I thought the world was ending and that still didnt work out," Sam moaned, burying his face in his hands.

"But you did that for the wrong reason," Blaine reminded him. He pulled Sams hands away from his face. "You didnt really want to marry her."

Standing up, Sam said, "I know but I really thought I had a chance here. I thought if I proposed to Mercedes before she went on tour, itd make this easier... I didnt know shed break up with me."

"Ouch," Blaine winced.

"I know," Sam began pacing. "Its like the same thing Kurt did to Dylan. He broke up with him after Dylan proposed."

"Yeah but Sam that was a totally different situation. Kurt cheated," Blaine told him. "Theres still a chance things could work out for you."

"Mercedes told me she cant tie me down like that while shes gone for months," Sam said, as he continued to pace. "She wants me to move forward and I dont know if I can."

"So what happens from here?" Blaine asked, stepping in front of his friend and placing a hand on his shoulder. He couldnt stand watching him pace anymore.

Sam shrugged, "She said shed continue to pay for her share of the apartment until tour was over, so she has a place to come home to. But once its over, and by then Mercedes hopes I have a new girlfriend, she said well work something out with the apartment."

"Im really sorry, man," Blaine frowned. What else could he say? It didnt seem likely that Mercedes would wait for Sam but Blaine couldnt tell him that. Itd only make him feel worse.

"Im just so sick of relationships and getting hurt," Sam said bitterly, running his hands through his hair.

"So I guess its probably too soon to ask you to be the best man at my wedding?" Blaine said, raising a thick eyebrow. He didnt want to push Sams buttons but this was his reason for inviting his friend over in the first place.

Sams jaw dropped and he took a minute to pull himself together. "No, yeah, dude, Im totally here for you. Im not going to turn you down over my own problems. Im honored you picked me."

"Thanks, man," Blaine patted his arm.

The front door opened and Kurt popped in with his arms full. He set his belongings on the couch and called, "Hey, babe. I have news about the wedding."

"Hi," Blaine replied dully, uncomfortably shifting next to Blaine. Now was not the time to bring this up.

"Hey, Sam," Kurt smiled, when he noticed their guest.

"Hi... I gotta get going," Sam sighed. He went to grab his coat and said, "I cant deal with all this romance. Ill see you guys later."

The moment the door shut behind him, Kurt scrunched up his nose. "Whats wrong with him?" he asked.

"Trouble in paradise," Blaine told him, inspecting the binder he brought in. "He proposed and Mercedes broke up with him."

A haunted expression crossed Kurts face for a moment and he shook his head to clear his thoughts. "Thats rough," he answered.

"Whats this news about the wedding?" Blaine changed the subject. He was glad Kurt found closure with Dylan but he didnt really want to bring the guy into this,

"Well, Carole got in touch with this big New York wedding planner and explained our situation. Shes really excited about our case, so I met with her. I knew you had class and it was the only time she was available," he apologized. "I would have invited you along."

"And you accused me of ring shopping without you," Blaine teased, crossing his arms over his chest.

"I just gave her an idea of what we want, based off the conversations weve had. It was a quick meeting but..." he hesitated, reaching for Blaines hands, "I told her I wanted to do a wedding in Central Park for you, because I know its one of your favorite places."

"Are you serious?" Blaine chirped.

Kurt grinned, "Yes, she said it could be worked out. Apparently this couple cancelled their wedding around the time we talked about getting married, so theres a spot open. I knew this opportunity had to be scooped up... Youve been my safe place against the world, the way you feel about the Park and the City. It just seemed to fit. "

"Kurt, thats amazing!" Blaine exclaimed, pulling Kurt into a hug. Blaine pulled back to kiss him, cupping the side of Kurts face. He felt his fiancés hands gently wrap around his shoulders. Kurts thumb rubbing his back. Blaine melted into his touch.

"So you like the idea?" Kurt asked, when they finally pulled apart. "I told Lydia that I had to check with you but I didnt think it would be a problem."

"The idea of marrying you is beautiful enough to me but yes, I love this idea," Blaine kissed him again.

"And I love you," Kurt smiled.

"What is that?" Blaine asked, as Kurt carried in a large box. He set it on the floor with a long sigh. "You brought that all the way up those stairs?"

"You doubt my muscles?" Kurt huffed, flexing his muscles. Blaine licked his lips in approval. "This is a bassinet. That way the baby will be closer at night than halfway across the loft in her crib. Itll make things easier for us."

"Thats smart," Blaine smiled. He had been so impressed with Kurt since they made the decision to adopt the baby. He was really stepping up to his role as a father.

"I thought so too," Kurt replied. He climbed on the couch next to Blaine and wrapped his arms around his fiancés neck. "You know, sooner or later, shes going to need a name."

"And I told you that I cant name the baby until I see her. Ill just know," Blaine concluded. He was never going to decide until he couldnt change his mind anymore. There was too many names.

"So theres no pressure to name her after your mom or my mom or Carole?" Kurt scrunched up his face.

"No pressure at all," Blaine shook his head. "I refuse to involve my mom because as far as Im concerned, this isnt her granddaughter. Theyre never going to meet. My dad would lose his mind."

"Right," Kurt pulled back, flopping on the couch. It was a pout and he clearly wanted to talk about it.

"Whats wrong?" Blaine asked, knowing he was going to regret this discussion.

"Nothing... You already know how I feel about your parents. I still think you should have invited them, and I dont think you should intentionally keep their grandchild from them," Kurt shrugged casually. "Thats all."

"Theres no intention. If they want to see the baby, they have to be able to handle being in the same room as you, and I dont think they can handle that. They cant even handle being in a room with me," Blaine told him. Rising from the couch, Blaine made his way into the kitchen and Kurt followed.

"Have they tried contacting you at all?" Kurt asked quietly, his eyes full of concern.

"Not once," Blaine said sharply, hiding any hint of agony he felt. It was hard acting like being shunned by his parents wasnt a big deal. Blaine didnt want to hurt over it, because he was so angry. It was better to let the anger consume the hurt.

"Have you called them?" Kurt hesitated. He knew he was pushing buttons and it annoyed Blaine that it didnt stop him from asking.

Slamming the teapot on the stove, Blaine barked, "No, and I dont have any intention of calling them, so let it go, okay?"

"Okay, sorry," Kurt mumbled, turning to leave the room.

Sighing, Blaine followed him into the bedroom and found Kurt sitting on the edge of the bed. Blaine walked over and sat beside him. "Im sorry," he said, placing a hand on Kurts thigh. "Its just been a difficult road, you know?"

Kurt nodded, staring at the floor. "I know and I hate that youre in pain. I just wish this was easier for you. I wish things werent so tense with your family."

"I have you. Thats all I need," Blaine kissed his cheek. "At this point, I dont care if its just me, you, and Rachel for a witness. All I need is you at the end of the day."

Resting his forehead against Blaines, Kurt replied, "We are not eloping. We only get one shot at this and were doing it the right way."

"I dont know. Eloping could be fun," Blaine chuckled.

Leaning back, Kurt grabbed a pillow and hit Blaine with it. "Thats not funny, Anderson. Ive been dreaming about marrying my price charming for years, and princes dont elope. Youre not funny."

"You know what is funny?" Blaine grinned. He inched his fingertips up Kurts sides, tickling his ribs.

"Blaine! Stop!" Kurt squirmed, trying not to laugh. He pushed Blaines hands away from him but it wasnt enough to stop him. "No! I hate being tickled."

Blaine pushed him backwards on the bed and crawled on top of him. "Would it make you feel better if I did this?" Blaine leaned in and began lightly kissing every inch of Kurts neck, causing his body to tense, before he eased into the rhythm of Blaines touch and groaned with pleasure.

"Yes, this i... I approve," Kurt said breathlessly, arching his back under Blaine. "Dont... stop...," Kurt groaned, as Blaine tugged at the bottom of his shirt.

"Good because Rachels not home and Ive missed you," Blaine said, as he continued to kiss his fiancé senselessly.

"Hello?" Coopers voice came through the phone. It was almost a relief to hear his brothers voice. Almost.

"Coop?" Blaine asked, swinging open the door to the classroom. He jumped into the shuffle of students on his way to the street. "Hi, sorry. I was in a class when you called."

"Thats okay," Cooper replied. "I just wanted to talk to you about this piece of mail I received earlier today. Im a little confused."

"You got the invitation?" Blaine asked. His heart beating quickly in his chest.

"Yeah... Whats going on, B?" Coopers voice genuinely sounded concerned and it eased his nerves slightly. "I mean, you just got blown apart by dad for dating this guy. Youre not marrying him just to prove a point to dad, are you?"

"Hell no," Blaine snapped. Someone bumped into his shoulder and Blaine mumbled, "Sorry."

"Why so soon then?" Cooper asked.

"Because I love him," Blaine said matter-of-fact. "I love him and I want to be with him more than anything. It has nothing to do with dad."

"And you dont think youre rushing things? You just got out of a bad relationship and your ex-girlfriend is pregnant. Can you handle all of this?" Cooper paused. Before Blaine could answer, he added, "Im not trying to be bossy, B. I just worry about you."

"Weve got it all worked out, Coop. Kurts adopting Rachels baby and were going to be a family. He makes me more confident." Blaine took a deep breath and admitted something he hadnt even told Kurt, "I was terrified of raising a baby with a girl I couldnt be with. When I first found out, I wasnt even sure I could keep it no matter how much I wanted to. This is different. I feel secure with Kurt. I know this is the best thing for us."

"So youre getting married," Cooper concluded. "Theres no talking you out of this?"

"Exactly," Blaine replied.

"And you want me to come?" Cooper asked slowly, like he was unsure Blaine could really mean that. "Are you sure you want that?"

Out on the streets, Blaine headed in the direction of the nearest coffee shop and replied, "it would mean a lot to me if you came. Im really sorry about what I said to you before. I was just in a fragile state."

"I know you were. Im not mad. You were under a lot of stress. I just dont know if I can take time off of the movie," Cooper explained. "Its hard to plan something that soon."

"Can you try?" Blaine raised an eyebrow. He took his latte from the Barista and sat down at the nearest table.

"That depends... Do I get to be your best man?" His brother joked.

"Sorry, I already asked Sam," Blaine informed him. "But I hope that doesnt make or break your decision. I might regret inviting you if it does."

"Nah, Im not coming then," Cooper laughed. "Ill see what I can do, okay? I would like to be there for you."

"Thanks, Coop," Blaine said sincerely. His heart feeling lighter than it had in weeks. At least he was able to mend things with his brother.

"Hey, Blaine?" Cooper said quietly.

"Yes?"

"Im really glad you called," Cooper told him.

Blaine smiled, "Me too."

"Oh, you look simply stunning in your tux!" Rachel announced at the shop the following day. "Youre going to look so handsome, Blaine."

"Thanks," he smiled, grateful that Rachel came along for this. Eyeing her purple dress, he added, "And that dress looks great on you. Are you going to get it?"

"The problem is that Im going to be bigger by the time I get to be Kurts best woman," Rachel frowned, rubbing a hand across her belly. "Its not going to fit."

"Oh dear, I can help you there," the older woman running the shop said, shuffling toward them. "Ill tell you what, well save a couple sizes for you. If you want to come in a couple days before the wedding, you can find the dress that suits you and we can alter it if we have to."

"You would do that for me?" Rachel asked, hugging her belly.

"Sure. That dress is perfect for a glowing mother like you," the woman smiled at her. "Ill save the next couple sizes up for you."

"Thank you so much," Rachel blushed. "You really dont have to do that."

"Oh child, please. I know you feel like that baby couldnt possibly grow anymore but he will. No need to be embarrassed about it," the woman went to the rack to look for another size in the same dress.

"Im not embarrassed. I just dont want to cause you trouble," Rachel told the woman.

"Nonsense," she shook her head wearily. "And that tux looks perfect on you," the woman complimented Blaine, dusting off his shoulder. "Your lady is lucky to marry someone as handsome as you."

"Oh, um thanks," Blaine replied, not bothering to correct her. Its not like hed ever see her again. Why go into detail?

"Too bad you two werent getting married. Youd make a cute couple," the woman said, gesturing between the two of them..

Blaine looked at Rachel, who stiffened in her dress. She smiled sadly at him and Blaine told the woman, "We did date before. It just didnt work out."

"Too bad," the woman chuckled. "That could be your baby and I bet you two would make a beautiful baby." She shook her head, "Oops. I never know when to keep my mouth shut."

At this, Blaine smiled. He placed his hand on Rachels belly and quietly said, "if she looks anything like her mother, she will be beautiful."

Rachel blushed and turned away from him. Heading into the dressing room, she said, "Im gonna change. Will you help me with the zipper again?"

"Yeah," he said, following her to the door of the dressing room. Unzipping the back of her dress, Blaine said, "Im sorry about that. Its not like she knew."

Turning to face him, Rachel clutched the shoulders of her dress and shook her head. "Look, its fine. She didnt know any better," she said.

"Are you okay?" Blaine asked her. Her hands were trembling slightly and she was completely avoiding his gaze now. "I dont know how your therapy sessions are going but if anythings bothering you, I want you to be able to talk to me."

"Im fine, now leave so I can change. Trust me, you dont want to see this," she replied, shutting the door in his face.

"Not like I havent seen it before," Blaine teased.

"Shut up," Rachel banded on the door with a fist. She shuffled around as she changed into her every day clothes. When she emerged from the dressing room a couple moments later, Rachel said, "Im going to kill Sam for being too busy with photo shoots to take you tux shopping."

"Well, we can make sure Sam takes Kurt to get his tux," Blaine told her, heading toward the counter. "Kurts going to be picky, so itll be like revenge."

"Kurt can be picky?" Rachel shook her head.

"Hes been working out details for the wedding non-stop. Im pretty sure in another week hell be a full on bridezilla. We could leave Sam to deal with that, Blaine told her.

"Honey, do you really want Sam picking out your husbands tux?" Rachel nudged him with her elbow. "I mean, I think I can do a better job."

"Ill let you two work that one out," Blaine laughed, heading toward the counter to pay.

When they finished at the shop, Blaine and Rachel made their way back to the apartment. Blaine helped carry Rachels bags up the stairs, because she had picked out shoes and jewelry to go with her dress. It was far more that Blaine thought she needed.

Rachel slid the door open and announced to the room, "Were home! Kurt, you wont believe what happened with my dress!"

"Already?" Kurts voice came from the kitchen. "Im in here making dinner."

"It didnt take nearly as long as I thought," Rachel told him, taking her coat off. "I found the perfect dress."

"Its an advantage to Rachel knowing she cant wear half the store. She didnt take long to pick," Blaine joked, setting her bags on the couch.

Walking into the kitchen, Rachel said, "Oh please. He needed me. Blaine couldnt tell the difference between -" she paused. "Oh... Hi."

Blaine raised an eyebrow. What was she on about? Following her into the kitchen, he asked, "Do we have company?"

"Hi, Blaine," a familiar voice greeted him at the table.

Pausing in the archway, he said, "What are you doing here, mom?"
