Kurt's jaw remained open for the duration of his visit. To realize that somebody felt so screwed up, and to take it out on his father. Burt didn't deserve it, and Kurt had a foreign feeling in his abdomen. What was it? Was it anger? No, it couldn't be anger. Regret? Close, but not quite there. Ah! It was rage.

Kurt lost his mother, and it was difficult for him. He almost lost his father a year ago and that was even tougher. But he couldn't grasp the concept of someone wanting another person to feel like that. Finn didn't have an excuse.

Blaine half-expected Finn to crack one day, but not for his mother. The most probable cause he could come up with was the annoyance he dealt with on a daily basis with his on-again, off-again girlfriend. Needless to say, everyone that knew Finn obviously didn't know him now.

After Burt told his story, Kurt ran out of the room, his eyes a color resembling fire. Halfway down the hall, Kurt felt a hand pull him back. Once he turned around and saw the beautiful autumn colors of his boyfriend's eyes, he broke down on his knees and began to sob.

Blaine got down to his lover's eye level and wrapped his arms around him, petting his chestnut hair as he let his tears seep into his boyfriend's shirt.

"I'm going to kill him!" Kurt screamed, over the crackling sound of his voice. "I swear to God, I'll kill him!"

"Sweetie, calm down," Blaine said, pulling him closer.

"Calm down?" Kurt said, now making eye contact. "How the hell am I supposed to calm down? He left him there, Blaine! To die on the side of the god-damn road! Who does that?"

"I know," Blaine said, cupping his cheek. "It's going to be okay. Burt told me he already told the police what happened, and they're trying their best to find him."

"Their best isn't good enough!" Kurt sobbed, nuzzling closer into Blaine's palm. "To think that I actually fell in love with him before! God, what was I thinking? Now, I have the urge to kill him and spit on his grave!"

"Don't talk like that," Blaine said, pressing his forehead to Kurt's. "We'll figure it out. I promise."

Kurt slowly nodded his head before bringing his lips to the younger boy. It was soft, but full of passion. "I love you so much," Kurt said between kisses.

After they broke apart for much needed air, Blaine said, "I will always be here for you, don't you know that?"

"I do," Kurt said. After Blaine kissed the remains of his tears away, he continued, "What would I ever do without you?"

"You'd probably go all Manson-"family values" on your brother," Blaine said, trying to cheer up his solemn other half.

Kurt gingerly laughed, and slowly got up. They both headed back to his father's room. Once they entered, Burt's face turned to meet the two younger boys with a sigh.

"Are you finished with your rage rant, son?" he asked.

"Glad to see Hudson didn't knock your humor out, too," Kurt said.

He walked over to his father and grabbed his hand, remembering the exact moment they first shared that contact at his mother's funeral. That's all it took was that one squeeze for Kurt to realize that they would be okay. His father would be okay.

But one thing was for sure: Finn Hudson would not be okay if Kurt Hummel had anything to do with it.
