This is just a little prologue to the main story that will be from Kurts POV.
"Im never saying goodbye to you."
The words still rang in his head. He had promised Blaine last year that he would never say goodbye to him, yet there he was, having to say goodbye. Kurt was amazed he had managed to escape for the few hours to come and speak to Blaine. They were sitting in Blaines house, on his bed. Tears were welling up in Kurts eyes as stared deep into Blaines hazel eyes, trying to remember each and every detail. Blaine was staring right back into Kurts sea-green eyes that sparkled like the sun on water. This was all so unfair, he thought to himsef. He didnt quite understand what Kurt was telling him.
"But why do you have to go Kurt?" he asked his boyfriend. Tears were building up behind his own eyes as well now. They wouldnt have been there if only he understood.
"I cant tell you Blaine. I want to, really I do, but I dont want you to be in danger. I love you, Blaine, and I dont want any harm to come to you." Kurt choked on his words and then fell into Blaines sholder crying. Blaine stroked Kurts brown hair to try and comfort him. He moved his hand down then to the small of his back. Kurt flinched.
"Did I hurt you Kurt?" Blaine asked concerned, "Kurt. Are you ok?" He could tell Kurt was hiding something. Slowly, searching Kurts eyes to check if it was ok, he pulled up Kurts shirt. As he did, his eyes widened in horror. Oh, Kurt. What happened?" Kurt was shaking now uncontrollably.
"Blaine," was all he managed to say before the tears fell completly, "If I tell you, you have to promise me not to do anything. I know what youre like. Please, promise me. If I tell you, you cant do anything."
Blaine was hesistant. If Burt was attacking Kurt with his belt because of him, then he wouldnt not do anything. But he promised Kurt, because he needed to know the truth. "I promise baby" he said.
Kurt reached across and took Blaines hands for comfort, took a deep, claming breath and then said, "Its my uncle. Remember Tuesday when I said my uncle turned up out of nowhere the night before?"
"Yes," Blaine said, nervous of where this was leading.
"Well, you remember how I was excused from gym that day? It was because my unlce hit me, with his belt." He hung he head ashamed of himself and his family. His back was still red-raw and stung whenever he moved.
"What!?" Blaine half shouted. "Why would he do that? Kurt come here baby." Kurt moved back into Blaine and let him hold him. Blaine was careful not to touch Kurts back however. "Baby, why didnt you tell me?"
"I couldnt. He heard rumous that I was seen kissing a guy at a football game. He is extremly homophobic and agressive. Even my dads scared of him. He came straight over and bet the crap out of me. I was too terrified to tell you. He isnt going to do anything to you, dont worry, just dont do anything stupid." Each word was a struggle for Kurt to say and struggle for Blaine to hear. He could feel the anger boiling up inside of him.
"Is that why you are moving, you get away from him? You can come and stay here" Blaine said, but Kurt cut him off with a light kiss.
"No Blaine. We are not moving. Only I am leaving." Blaine was confused now. "Im not moving to get away from my uncle. Im moving in with my unlce."
"What, Kurt, are you crazy?!" Blaine was standing up now and pacing around the room. This was all so messed up and he couldnt do anything about it. Kurt, his love, the boy he wants to marry one day, is moving in with a man who is so homophobic he would drive hours across the state to attack his own nephew.
"Blaine please listen. It is a miricale he has let my come to school this pass week. I dont want to go, of course I dont want to go. But he knows who you are. He got my phone. I have to go with him, or, or hell kill you." The silence hung in the air. Neither boy knew what to say, what could they say?
"Now you understand Blaine? I love you so much, I cant let him hurt you. I have to go with him. I dont know what it will mean, but he cant hurt you. You are too perfect to harm" he said stroking his boyfriends beautiful face.
"Kurt, I love you too. But, cant we go to the police or something?" There must be a way out, there must he thought.
"Blaine, love, he is the police. Hes a spider at the centre of a web and he knows exactly how each string dances. There is no one who can help us that isnt controlled by him, or someone he knows." Kurt stood up to leave, afraid of what might happen when he got back. He turned to look at Blaine. Blaine was best friends, his boyfriend, his one true love. How could he possibly not go? He leaned in and kissed those gorgeous lips one last time. The kiss was long and tender, yet filled with tears. He closed his eyes focusing on everything that Blaine was. He scent, he touch, he taste, everything. He couldnt forget him.
"Good-bye my love," Kurt whispered against Blaines lips, "Ill remember."
