Everything Run Along In Creation 'Till I End The Song
I moved in with some things / a pile of clothes and art prints I hung / on vertebrae. I made my home in the navel of the bee / surrounded by sun dried skin, singed fibers. Blaine Anderson understands inbetweenness,understands the act of transit, always shifting and moving. He likes it like that. Enter Kurt Hummel, a student at University of California-Berkeley studying Comparative Literature and Philosophy (minor in theater). Kurt understands the necessity of quiet and how the best music happens in the space between notes. They meet and the way they crash, skitter, bounce off of and into each other will change their lives forever. Also known as, the one where Blaine is a poet/musician living in Berkeley and Kurt is a student who makes him question everything he once knew about himself.
If X is Love, Then Y is the Space Between Them
when they meet in sludgy snow, it feels as if it has been thirtytwohundred years since they were struck apart full of seeds and debris.
Dusk and Summer
He has this memory folded in amongst those of bowties and tea parties, singing and dancing to old musicals in bare feet and pajamas. This memory, though, is blurred like an old, somewhat out of focus photograph, tattered and yellowing around its edges as if it had spent too much time pressed between fingers.
The World Spins Madly On
He lets the rolodex of images he keeps tucked away in his mind flip backwards in time to that moment buried in the years past in which his world quaked, cracked open, and offered a different reality
The Ocean Rolls Us Away
Can we just escape for a little while? He pleads into the weighty silence that had enveloped the car, Let's just disappear for awhile, please?
He Doesn't Think in Metaphors
No, he is seventeen; he does not write love sonnets in his head or wax poetic about finding his other half of his soul. No, he simply breathes and counts down the minutes until he will see his boyfriend again.
