Embers of Love

When Kurt's father was injured in the war, he had no idea what was in store for him when he was chosen to take his place. Sure, he had seen pieces on Hitler's regime on the television here and there but he didn't know just what was happening behind the scenes. If he knew from the start what he would eventually see and be forced to do, Kurt would've never joined the Nazi party while his father recuperated. Blaine was just a boy living a normal life with a normal family. Except for two main things: he was jewish and gay. He wasn't expecting it when Nazi soldiers burst into his home one evening and took his entire family as prisoners. Cold, mistreated, and starved was how he had arrived at the concentration camp and he knew his life was no longer in his own hands. But how was he to know that the place of such despair would also be the place where he would find his eternal hope?
