The Kingdoms of Renova and Vastar are at war, and the King of Vastar has had enough of Renova's greed. He goes to the leader of the Gladius Occultus, a highly respected band of assassins in the region, and together they form a plan to get the King of Renova to forfeit the war. The leader sends his best assassin and son, Blaine, to kidnap Prince Kurt of Renova so they could use him as ransom against the king.
