HDM!Glee. Blaine Anderson finds an angel in an alleyway. Quite literally.

Author's Notes: Written for the kbl_reversebang for the lovely art provided by kaffiaulait. Kaffiaulait requested something HDM-esque and I'm not quite sure I delivered, as it kind of ended up running away from me. It wasn't until my deadline was approaching that I realized this fic needed more space to grow, but hopefully it works well enough in its shortened state. In case you haven't read HDM (which you should rectify asap, trust me), here's the lay down: people in this 'verse have an animal companion who is, in some ways, like a psychical representation of their soul. They're called dæmons (yes, weird spelling and all). Children's dæmons change from animal to animal and don't settle on one until they grow up (I won't spoil it for you how exactly "growing up" is determined. Go read the books if you can!). I suppose another semi-important detail for this 'verse is that the Church is more like a ruling political body than a religious aspect and that theologists are treated very sort of like scientists. Hopefully that clears up any confusion from the get go - if you have any questions, feel free to ask in the comments. Now, without further adieu--
