Shining Through
Blaine's family has fallen on hard times due to the economy, which forces them to move to Lima, and Blaine to transfer to McKinley. Terrified of switching schools, Blaine tries to deal with the suspicious members of New Directions (including Kurt), his parents general disinterest in his life, and the bullies at McKinley all while learning that acceptance can only happen once you learn to love yourself.
Author's Notes: My 2011 Blaine Big Bang entry, co-written with the lovely Missgoalie75 on LJ/Tumblr. She doesn't have an account on here, but has graciously allowed me to post it. :D This fic begins at the end of 2.07 The Substitute, and AU's episodes 2.8-2.11.
