Author's Notes: Hello there, my lovely readers. This is a story I wrote to celebrate my one year anniversary - April 16, 2012 is the day I came up with an idea for ICBD, wrote a few short chapters, and published them here, on Scarves & Coffee. A fun coincidence - I was in Alanya (Turkey) at that time and I'm going there tomorrow for a week-long holiday. So a year later I'm going back to where it all began. I looked back at this year and let me tell you, it was amazing with all you by my side. 365 days and 240,694 words on S &C later I want to thank you all for being there for me. My heart belongs to all of you. Some time ago I decided to write an anniversary fic. I began brainstorming but it was pretty difficult to choose which theme I should write. Vampire, mermaids, prostitution, something else? And then I realised, why choose one when I can write all of them? And this fic was born. My biggest thank you goes to my friend and plot-beta framby, who not only listened to my ideas, gave me advice and read through the drafts to see which scenes could be improved, but also made sure I wrote a certain amount of words every day. This story wouldn't be the way it is now if it wasn't for her and I'm forever grateful for her help. P.s. Names of the chapters are from the lyrics of Against All Odds by Phil Collins.
