A Life With Few Distinctions
Set in 1818, the ladies of the humble town of Berkwood are all in a tizzy over the appearance of the wealthy and handsome Mister Blaine Anderson, while the elegant Mister Kurt Hummel is quite unimpressed.
Author's Notes: I've been wanting to do Regency Era!Klaine for quite some time, but simply haven't had the muse to do so until recently. I want the story to have some sense of authenticity so I use some "slang" terms of the period (and hopefully use them correctly), but I'll always be sure to define them in context. Most of this story will strive for a decent amount of historical accuracy, but I've changed the nature of race relations simply because if I didn't I would either have to leave out quite a few characters, or put them in positions that I wouldn't be at all comfortable. Things are still somewhat strained and there will be use of out-dated racial terms, but there will be no historically-accurate cases of racism, except perhaps with the reactions of a few characters.
