Toast

"And now I'd like to call one of the guests of honor, my bro Kurt."Finn announced after making his brotherly toast. Everyone cheered as Kurt walked to the floor, hugging Finn and taking the microphone. "Hello everyone! I'd like to thank all of you for coming out to celebrate this fabulous marriage."He grinned as they clapped. "However, I'd like to recognize someone who, without them, I would not be standing here today. It may come as a shock to some of you."Kurt informed. The group listened curiously. "Noah Puckerman."He stated, smirking at the sounds of surprise and confusion. Kurt looked at Puck and saw him looking at him with pure confusion. "Puck and I always had a unique friendship. He went from one of my bullies, to a fellow glee member, to a friend, to someone who would do anything to keep me safe. But he always had his oh so clever comments. It all started early into junior year. We were planning the boys' performance for the Boys vs. Girls Mash-Off. I came up with some horrible idea involving feather boas and headsets."He paused to let them laugh."I could tell no one liked the idea, but I just wanted to be useful. So when Puck told me to 'Visit the Garglers" I thought 'Why not. I'm of no use here anyway. It's a GREAT idea, send the gay kid to spy on the gay school.' so I went. Little did I know that Puck's little comment led me to the best thing that's ever happened to me. "Kurt smiled at his husband. "If it weren't for Puck, I wouldn't have met my best friend, I probably wouldn't have told anyone about the bullying, and I wouldn't be standing here today, the happiest I've ever been. Hell, I probably wouldn't even be here at all."Kurt stated. No person in that room had dry eyes. Kurt turned to Puck, who was smiling as he sobbed. "I'd like to give a toast to you, Puck. With all of my gratitude and friendship."He concluded. Everyone clapped and raised their glasses. Puck ran up and crushed Kurt in a hug, Kurt gripping just as tight.
