Kurt was lying on his back in a white undershirt and briefs while Blaine wore just his briefs- he always seemed to like staying undressed after sex for a while; at first Kurt thought he did it to show off his body but as time went on he realized Blaine just loved being close to him that way. Blaine loved reminding Kurt that he was the only boy who got to see him that way, so vulnerable. Blaine’s leg was resting on top of Kurt, bent so high his knee almost touched Kurt’s hip. He liked being as close to Kurt as he could physically when they got the chance. Blaine was breathing heavy and Kurt could feel his smiling cheeks on his shoulder, he couldn’t help but giggle.

“What?” Blaine asked.

“You just make me so happy. I never thought I could be like this with someone. You make me so comfortable.” Blaine tilted his head up to meet Kurt’s eyes. “I mean, it’s been like that since the beginning, hasn’t it?”

“Yeah, it has,” Blaine could help but smile from ear to ear. “I knew you were special because from the moment I saw you on those stairs, I felt something. I didn’t know what it was. At first it was just friendship. But now,” Blaine grabbed Kurt’s hand and interlaced their fingers, holding them close to his heart, “now we have that friendship on fire.”

Kurt blushed. Blaine was soft spoken sometimes, but when he let himself express how he was feeling he really knew how to make Kurt speechless. Blaine shot up and sat indian style on the bed, Kurt lounged up on his elbows to meets his excitement. Blaine grinned that special Blaine grin that made Kurt wonder what was going inside that beautiful mind of his.

“I have to show you something.” Blaine opened the dresser to the right of his bed, searched around in the drawer, and pulled out a golden book. “It’s a scrapbook. About us.” Kurt’s eyes open wide. “Is that weird?”

Kurt leaned his body towards him and kissed him. “Blaine Anderson, everything you do is weird. But I love you for every one of those weird things.” Blaine just dropped his head, like he always did when Kurt made him smile. He peered up at him and squinted his eyes, “Do you want to see-” Before Blaine could finish his sentence Kurt took the scrapbook out of his hands.

Blaine explained each photo thouroughly though Kurt already knew what each photo was from, why they took the picture, and why they were both smiling so big in each one. “That’s from when we went to Prom… I hate my hair in that photo,” Kurt laughed.

“I loved your hair.”

Blaine blushed. “You know, when I was at Dalton and we didn’t see each other that often, I loved looking at this. It reminded me of how lucky I was to fall in love with my best friend, and have him fall in love with me too.” Kurt was speechless, again. Being speechless was something Kurt had grown used to feeling while dating Blaine. Blaine put the scrapbook on his night stand and laid back down into Kurt’s arms on his bed. “Now I keep adding more and more pictures to the album and it seems like we get happier and happier. I love being happy with you. I hope I always get to be happy with you.”

Blaine did this a lot. He always was searching for certainty of Kurt’s feelings and he always doubted the ability for him to make Kurt happy. Blaine didn’t realize he was the first reason Kurt had to smile since he started high school.

“Can we make another scrapbook? For me?” Kurt asked.

“Are you kidding? I’d love that! I have really fun stickers and…” Kurt began to laugh at Blaine’s excitement. Blaine laughed with him as Kurt held him tighter.

“That way, if we both have one, we’ll always be with each other. In our hearts… and in our night stands,” Kurt wasn’t as smooth of a talker as Blaine, but Blaine always smiled when Kurt tried.

Blaine giggled. Even when nothing was funny, they seemed to always be giggling or smiling with each other. “Want to make it now?” He asked, though he knew they would cuddle there on his bed together for at least another half hour before they felt the need to get dressed.

“We should finish this episode of Gilmore Girls first…” Kurt insisted. They always mean to watch it, but whenever they put the DVD in they end up kissing... then caressing... They both smiled because they both knew why they had missed the majority of the episode.

Blaine looked into Kurt’s eyes and instinctively cupped his face into his hands, “I love you so much.” He kissed Kurt once and then twice, but not enough to start something they couldn’t finish. He tapped his finger onto Kurt’s nose and giggled. Kurt crinkled his nose and smiled.

“And I love you, Blaine Anderson.”

He replayed this one simple memory in his head over and over. Blaine couldn’t believe himself. In one moment of weakness, he threw away everything his heart desired. Kurt wasn’t just his best friend or his boyfriend; Kurt was his soul mate. Almost every night since he’d returned from New York, he’d take that very same scrapbook out of his drawer and look at all the photos. Sometimes he’d just hold the scrapbook in his arms; it was his only connection to Kurt now. When he was drowning himself in his own thoughts at night he often wondered if Kurt was looking through his scrapbook too.
