Kurt walked over to their usual table, two coffee cups in hand and sat down across from Blaine. He was greeted with a warm smile and a squeeze of his hand as he handed Blaine his cup. Blaine took the cup to his lips, blowing on it and taking a slow drink before popping the lid and dipping in a piece of almond biscotti.

Kurt just sort of stared at him, not really looking but not exactly staring anywhere else. Blaine set his cup down and looked at Kurt curiously.

"Are you alright?" He asked

"Hmm?" Kurt mumbled, suddenly being pulled from his trance. "Y-yeah, I'm fine, just thinking." he whispered. Blaine, sensing his obvious uncertainty, took Kurt's hand and twined their fingers on top of the table. Kurt smiled and instantly became very interested in his coffee cup, bringing it to his mouth and definitely not trying to hide a blush.

"Liar," Blaine teased but Kurt sighed and subconsciously ran a hand through his hair. "Hey, Kurt, sweetheart, what's wrong?" Kurt bit his lip and looked up to meet Blaine's worried gaze.

"I'm just… I just don't really want to start school. I mean, I do, I want to see everyone again, but it's just knowing that in ten months everything will be over…" Kurt said, trailing off at the end and started to pick at his coffee cup with his free hand.

"Kurt, you'll still see them, you know that." Blaine consoled, rubbing his thumb against Kurt's index finger.

"I-I know, it's just… I'm scared. About life. After high school. I mean, I don't know what I'm supposed to do. It's like, okay, we're going to put you through school for thirteen years, and then when you graduate you're an adult. Go, live your life, you're a big kid now. I-I don't know what I'm supposed to do." He sighed staring at Blaine squeezing his hand harder.

"Kurt… You know it's not like that, don't you?"

"Yeah, but don't you see my point?"

"Of course I do…" Blaine whispered, sipping his coffee now that it was cool enough to tolerate. "Don't you wanna go to New York though?"

Kurt visibly twitched at his words. Yes he did, of course he did, it's his dream.

"I do. So badly… But, what do I do? What about my family? My friends? Wh-what about…" You, what about you?

"What about what?" Blaine questioned.

"What about you... What about you and I? What happens to us when we're done high school?" Kurt asked almost frantically, but then reminded himself where they were, not to freak out because, Kurt, we're in public, we shouldn't even be holding hands.

"You know what, Kurt, honestly, we'll cross that bridge when we come to it." Blaine soothed, giving Kurt what he hoped was a reassuring look. Kurt nodded, chuckling quietly and humourlessly.

"I just... I want my senior year to be magic." He said staring, again, not quite at Blaine, but just slightly past him, like whatever it was on the wall could predict how his school year would play out.

"Well..." Blaine began trailing his fingers up and down the ridges on the now-emptied coffee cup. "Maybe it will be."

"How do you mean?" Kurt asked, draining what was left in his coffee cup and setting it down on the table. Blaine sighed and smiled, staring at Kurt with nothing but love and admiration written in his eyes.

"I'm transferring." He said simply, but it was like Kurt didn't hear it. Two words, Kurt, come on, you remember what they mean.

I'm fluent in English and French but I can't remember what that means, oh God, Blaine, what?

"What?" Kurt asked incredulously. If he still had that coffee he probably would've spit it out across the table.

"I-I'm transferring." Blaine repeated, worrying that maybe this wasn't the right idea, maybe Kurt didn't want him to be there, didn't want him to interfere with Glee club and his friends and oh God, why hadn't he thought of this?

"No, no, I heard you, but.. what?" Kurt didn't know what to say. He was a very complicated mixture of oh my God, Blaine, I get to see you every day? You're joining Glee Club?? and what if he realises how terrible it really is with Karofsky and he won't want to stay by me anymore? What if it's all too much for him to take?

"Before you start freaking out, I'm not doing it for you." Blaine said slowly. Kurt cocked his head, trying to decide whether he should be offended or not. "Okay, that came out wrong; I mean, obviously it's because of you, but don't start thinking I'm doing this because I don't think you can take care of yourself. I know you can."

Oh, Kurt, you're so lovesick it's sad.

"I'm doing it because I want to, and that reason itself has many reasons inside it. I've been thinking about this for a while, and I promise, I want this. But..." Blaine sighed staring at their linked hands. "But if this isn't what you want, my transfer isn't official, and all my stuff if still at Dalton, so..."

"No no no, you can transfer, oh my God, Blaine, please transfer." Kurt babbled before he realized what he was doing. Blaine laughed and smiled and squeezed their hands, and soon enough Kurt was doing the same.

"I love you." Kurt said, he said it aloud and in front of so many people and he meant, oh God he meant it. Blaine smiled his smile, the smile that only broke out around Kurt. "I love you too, Kurt."

Before Kurt realized it, their fingers were untwined and Blaine was standing up, moving closer and pressing his sweet, coffee-tasting lips against Kurt's. It wasn't long enough to be satisfactory, but they were in a coffee shop after all.

Soon enough Blaine was smirking and standing behind his chair, running his fingers over the buttons on his Dalton blazer.

"What are you doing?" Kurt asked.

"Making my transfer official." He said happily and pulled the button through the hole, shrugging out of this jacket and draping it gently around Kurt's shoulders. Kurt bit his lip but his smile was undeniable. Blaine extended his hand and Kurt took it happily.

"Shall we?" Blaine asked, tossing their cups into the nearest garbage can.

"Shall we what?" Kurt retorted.

"All my stuff is still at Dalton, and you know I'm not big enough to take all of it myself. Your car is huge, it can fit all of the stuff from my dorm and then some. Come on, I'm moving out." Kurt just laughed and allowed Blaine to tug his arm along after him, the blazer still around his shoulders, Blaine's hand in his, just like the beginning.
