Author's Notes: Just a little drabble I wrote inspired by this photo set http://blaineanderp.tumblr.com/post/13833970538/if-blaine-died created by the wonder Blaineanderp (Jaye)
“Kurt, where have you been we’ve been looking all over the school for you” Mr Schue said running up to him.
“What, why? I’ve been trying to get hold of Blaine, cause he didn’t tell me he wasn’t going to be in today and…” Kurt looked at Mr Schue, tears forming in the mans eyes. “What’s wrong?” Kurt said looking at his teacher. This was the last moment that Mr Schue was going to see Kurt Hummel as the care free boy he’s been since he met Blaine… Blaine. Mr Schue took a deep breath.
“Kurt, we just got a call from the hospital.” Kurt looked up, worry already forming on his face.
“W-what, i-i-is it my dad?” Kurt stuttered as if he didn’t want to say the words. Mr Schue shook his head.
“Then who?” Kurt said, not wanting to hear the truth.
“Blaine.” He said pulling Kurt into an embrace, Kurt pulled away.
“What happened, is he okay?” Kurt knew he wasn’t, why else would Mr Schue be close to tears. Mr Schue didn’t answer for a while. “WHAT HAPPENED?” Kurt yelled, his voice hoarse. He was now unaware of everyone surrounding them in the hallways. The only people in the whole world were him and Blaine, and Blaine wasn’t even there.
“There was a car crash, we didn’t get told anything else, except he’s in hospital and in a critical condition, I thought you should be the first to know.” And with that Kurt flew down the corridor, tears streaming from his eyes, his whole world crashing down around him, his whole being, empty and cold. He ran out of the school. The sky was grey and it was raining. He could hear his name being called ‘Kurt, wait!’ ‘Stop’, but he didn’t stop, he couldn’t. He needed to get to Blaine.
He couldn’t remember what happened next, Mr Schue had ushered him into his car and he drove Kurt to the hospital. Kurt was a mess the whole way. Next thing he knew he was running through the ward shouting Blaine.
“Kurt, calm down” Mr Schue restrained him.
“Where is he?” There was no reply “WHERE IS HE? LET ME SEE HIM” Kurt yelled. Emma came over,
“Guys, they said to wait in here.” She pointed toward a room over to their left. When did Emma get here? Was she in the car with them? Kurt didn’t care. He didn’t care about anything but Blaine. The room was dull, very clinical and felt very cold. Kurt sat on the chair in the corner and curled up in a little ball. Was he going to lose Blaine?
After what felt like an eternity a doctor came through.
“Are you here for Blaine Anderson?” At the sound of his name Kurt jumped up.
“Yes, any news?” Mr Schue said. The doctor shook his head.
“I’m sorry. There’s nothing more we can do.” He said looking at Kurt who was now rushing toward the door.
“I don’t believe you. I need to see him.” He said trying to push pass the doctor. “LET ME SEE HIM” He screamed now running out of the door looking in every room until he saw Blaine’s almost lifeless body.
Blaine looked so vulnerable, hooked up to various different machines, his face was pale and bruised small cuts everywhere from shards of glass.
“Blaine” He breathed holding his hand and squeezing so hard it was as if he could keep him alive by holding him to the earth. “No please, God no” He said shaking his head in despair. “Blaine don’t leave me, you said you’d never leave me” His sobs filled the room as he clutched onto Blaine. “I love you.” He said leaning on the Blaine’s chest, as if the beats from his heart could melt into Blaine and bring him back. Kurt’s sobs were silent now as the only sound filling to room was the beep of the monitor.
