When You Wake Up The World Will Come Around
Super short, shameless Klaine fluff. Blaine is a heavy sleeper and Kurt can't seem to get him to wake up. Takes place in boarding school, so it's slightly AU. Title is from Lullabye by Fall Out Boy.

It was finally, finally, finally Friday. Kurt felt like he could skip down the halls of William McKinley Boarding School, and he felt that he definitely had the right to after the long, long, long week he'd just endured. But he restrained himself. He was headed to the dorm room that he shared with one Blaine Anderson, his roommate who also just happened to be his boyfriend. They had dinner plans for the night, and, to be perfectly honest, it was the only thing getting Kurt through pre-calculus. Well, that, and the fact that he maybe, might have been texting Blaine under his desk the entire grueling 45 minute period. They didn't have any classes together, exclusing lunch, which Kurt regarded as cruelly unfair, so this was the next best thing.
Kurt strolled into the room, humming happily under his breath. He tossed his bag lazily onto his bed and kicked his boots off. When he looked up, he jumped, startled to find Blaine already in the room. In fact, he had to guess that he had been there for quite some time now. He was currently very obviously asleep, snoring softly from his spot sprawled out on his own bed, on top of the covers. He was hugging one of Kurt's pillows to his chest, and Kurt had to smile, although it was very unlike Blaine to fall asleep straight after school and it worried him some. He hoped the other boy wasn't getting sick- they had gone out for a late-night walk in the snow the other day, but he had been wearing a scarf and a ridiculous-but very warm- little hat with a dog on it and ears that stuck out, so he should have been decently safe.
Kurt didn't have the heart to wake him up right then. He looked so peaceful, with that tiny hint of a smile that was playing at his lips. Kurt watched the easy rise and fall of his chest, knowing that if he wasn't sick, Blaine had probably been having a bad day, which he never, ever wanted to admit to, but Kurt never failed to pick up on. It was, after all, almost the only time he ever took naps. Most of the time he was able to coax Kurt under the covers with him and they wasted the afternoon away watching movies all tangled up in each other. He would claim that he'd just missed his boyfriend more than usual that day, but really, he'd just needed someone to hold him, someone to be there for him, whether he knew he was doing it or not. “Just because it isn't productive doesn't mean it's wasted,” Blaine would argue, and Kurt would roll his eyes and nuzzle into his neck in that one way that he always did. And most of the time by the end of the night, Blaine had either admitted what was bothering him or completely forgotten about it, because Kurt tended to have that effect on him, always and all the time. They would fall asleep as close as could possibly be, and wake up the next day to the menu music of whatever movie they had been watching looping and looping and looping, again and again and again until one of them got too annoyed with it and got up to turn it off.
But this wasn't one of those nights. Kurt retrieved a gingham blanket from under his bed and draped it over Blaine's sleeping form. His boyfriend didn't stir. Kurt shook his head and leaned down to kiss him, feather light, on the forehead, and he drew the curtains and flipped the lights off when he left.
It was six on the dot when he returned to his dorm. He flipped the lights back on and was greeted with the same exact sight he'd seen before he'd left- in fact, Blaine hadn't seemed to have moved one inch from his spot, which was a first for a notorious blanket-hog such as himself. Kurt shook his head again, smiling again at how peaceful his boyfriend looked, but he had been napping for about three hours now. He considered just letting him sleep- they could go out for dinner another time- but Blaine would never want that to happen, and he knew it.
So he slipped under the soft blanket that covered Blaine, The darker-haired boy immediately turned to curl into him more, as if on instinct.
“Blaine,” Kurt sing-songed, softly and right into his ear. “Blaine, darling. Wake up.” He shook the other boy a little, but he remained unresponsive. Kurt sighed and brought himself up on his elbows, pressing a kiss to that one sensitive spot behind Blaine's ear that never failed to make him melt. A noise of contentment mixed with tiredness came from the back of Blaine's throat, and he curled into Kurt even more, but didn't seem to wake up farther, and his eyes remained closed.
“Blaine,” Kurt repeated, poking him a few times. “Oh, Blaaaaaaaaaine. Wake up? Pretty please? For me?” His boyfriend remained unmoving. Kurt sighed melodramatically and rested his head against Blaine's shoulder. His fingers trailed down Blaine's side, which was covered by a somehow-not-tacky Christmas sweater.
“I didn't want to have to resort to his,” he said into his ear, “but you simply leave me no other choice.” He slipped his hand under the sweater, smirking and tickling him in that one spot that Blaine was ridiculously ticklish in, and claimed to absolutely hate (Kurt had his doubts). Blaine fidgeted in his spot, kicking his feet and burying his head in Kurt's shoulder. A sleepy laugh escaped from his lips, and all of a sudden there was a hand covering Kurt's. Blaine lifted Kurt's hand from his overly-ticklish side, taking it in his own instead.
“There are much nicer ways to wake someone up,” he slurred sleepily, his eyes finally slipping open. They met Kurt's, and he smiled at how close they were. “Hi.”
"You're alive," Kurt whispered. “Oh, trust me, I tried,” he cooed, a little devilish smirk ever-present on his lips. Blaine laughed weakly. Kurt closed the distance in between their lips. "Hi."
“What time is it?” He asked suddenly, stretching his arms and sitting up with much difficulty.
“Six,” Kurt replied immediately, and Blaine's eyes widened.
“What? Six? Kurt, you could have woken me up earlier,” he sighed.
“I repeat: I tried.” Kurt giggled, despite himself. “You're the heaviest sleeper I have ever come across.”
“Sorry,” Blaine said sheepishly, “can't help it.” He sighed, laying back down on Kurt's pillow. Kurt bit his lip, resting his head on Blaine's chest. Blaine's arms draped around Kurt, holding him close, and Kurt breathed him in.
“Do you want to talk about it?” He asked, tracing circles onto Blaine's neck with his free hand.
“Huh?”
“You only take naps when something is bothering you,” Kurt stated matter-of-factly.
“Nothing is bothering me.”
“Uh huh,” Kurt said, unconvinced.
“Uh huh.”
“So, I was thinking,” Kurt said into Blaine's shirt. “What do you say we go out tomorrow night? I just really don't want to move right now,” he admitted.
“Neither do I.”
“So it's settled?”
“It's settled.”
