“Oh god,” Kurt groaned, low and deep.

Blaine grinned over at him, mouth curving lazily. “I know.”

He watched as his boyfriend slid into the hot tub next to him, first his bare feet dipping in, and then his strong thighs, his naked hips, until the water licked at his nipples.

Kurt tipped his head back against the side of the tub, closing his eyes as the heat of the water sunk deep into his tired muscles and bones. “This is amazing.” Kurt’s stomach clenched at the sudden heat, but his limbs slowly began to relax.

“You’re amazing.”

Kurt rolled his head until he could see Blaine, smiling soft and sweet at him. Blaine’s cheeks were flushed and his hair, growing longer every day, was loose and shaggy, curling around his temples.

“You’re just saying that because I agreed to go camping with you.”

Blaine shrugged, and Kurt watched the water lap at Blaine’s strong, defined chest, teasing at the dark dusting of hair that Kurt found unfairly attractive.

When Blaine had told him that Cooper wanted to take them camping, Kurt had wondered if Blaine had finally lost his mind, if all that hair product had finally sunk too deep and addled his brain. Kurt wasn’t some delicate little flower who couldn’t handle a little dirt under his nails (he’d worked at his dad’s shop after all), but camping? In a tent? With no running water or soap? With Cooper?

It turned out camping Anderson-style meant a secluded 3-bedroom cabin by the lake, with a stone fireplace, a massive DVD collection, and a huge hot tub sunk into the deck. Kurt should have expected it, but when they’d pulled up to the cabin (the house, really), surrounded by trees with the lake just outside the door, Kurt’s mouth had fallen open a little. He forgot, sometimes, that the Andersons were wealthy, or at least wealthier than anyone else he knew.

“You’re having fun though, right? This is fun?” Blaine’s eyebrows furrowed a little as he lifted hand out of the water and gestured back at the cabin.

Kurt grabbed Blaine’s hand and brought it to his lips, brushing kisses across Blaine’s knuckles until the frown smoothed from Blaine’s brow.

“Of course I am,” Kurt said, shifting closer until his thigh pressed against Blaine’s under the water and their shoulders bumped. The feel of Blaine’s smooth naked skin, the rasp of hair, sent a shiver up Kurt’s spine. “I don’t care what we do, I just want to be with you.”

It was still early in the summer, and they had a good two months together before Kurt flew off to New York. He might not have gotten into NYADA, but that wasn’t going to stop him from pursuing what he wanted. There were other schools, and other opportunities, but as badly as he wanted to spend the next year with Blaine, he couldn’t deny his chances for his future.

But until then, until he packed his bags and boarded that plane, he was going to spend every moment he could with Blaine. And if that meant roughing it for a week in a lakeside cabin stocked with more food than the three of them could eat and more movies than they could watch, then so be it.

The fact that Cooper was there with them – well Kurt could handle that too.

“You’ve got me,” Blaine said, and he tangled their fingers together. He leaned over, brushing a sweet kiss across Kurt’s mouth. “You’ve always got me.” Blaine whispered, and felt Kurt smile before his lips parted and their kiss deepened, tongues sliding slickly against each other’s as their bodies began to rock together.

Kurt shifted to climb into Blaine’s lap, eager to get closer to him, but a muscle in his back spasmed and he groaned. “Oh god I’m so sore.”

“How’s your back?” Blaine slid an arm around Kurt, rubbing a careful hand against the smooth expanse of skin of his back. Kurt moaned as Blaine found the knot in his back that was complaining so loudly and worked it loose.

Camping with Cooper meant more that napping all day on the couch until it was time to go to bed. Camping with Cooper meant hiking until their legs ached, chasing small animals around trees while Blaine swore at him that there were bears in the woods and he wasn’t going to responsible if Cooper got them mauled. It meant swimming in the lake until they were cold and pruny and sunburned, shivering under blankets in front of the fireplace until they got warm again. It helped that Cooper didn’t mind if Kurt and Blaine shared a blanket. Camping with Cooper meant motoring out onto the lake at the fuck o’ clock in the morning to go fishing, and staying out there they had more fish than anyone could need for the week. Kurt was going to have to take some home for his family, not that anyone would complain.

“It’s fine,” Kurt said, arching into the touch. “Getting better by the minute.”

Blaine grinned and pressed a little harder, earning another long moan from Kurt.

“Come over here.” Kurt tugged until Blaine was straddling his lap, bare ass resting lightly on his thighs, the water carrying most of his weight. Water splashed around them a little as Blaine settled.

“Hi,” Blaine said, and he nuzzled his nose against Kurt’s temple, slinging his arms over Kurt’s shoulders.

“Hi.” Kurt watched a few beads of water slide down Blaine’s chest before he leaned in and caught them with his tongue. He tasted the clean water of the hot tub, and the salt of Blaine’s skin underneath the tang of remaining sunscreen and sweat.

“Kurt,” Blaine moaned, shifting close, cock bumping against Kurt’s belly. Kurt’s hips lifted and Blaine felt Kurt growing hard against him.

“Blaine, can we-”

Kurt’s question was cut off when they heard the door to the deck open and then shut, and the sound of bare feet slapping on the wooden deck echoed in the silence.

“Hey boys!” Cooper called out. “I brought us some drinks! Beer for me, root beer for you because you’re underage and I know what you’re like drunk, Blainey.”

Blaine lifted his head to see Cooper coming towards him, dressed in swim trunks, carrying three glass bottles in his hands.

“Beautiful night for a dip, isn’t it?” Cooper said as he set their drinks down on the deck before he fairly jumped into the hot tub, sending a wave of water over the side. Kurt wiped the splash of water from his chin and tried not to laugh at the frustration obvious on Blaine’s face.

Kurt rested his hands on Blaine’s hips and rubbed soothing circles against the knobs of his hips.

“Uh…Coop?” Blaine glanced between his brother, who was leaning over the edge, reaching for the bottles, and Kurt, who was biting his lip against a smile.

“What? Oh I forgot the bottle opener! Wait, these are twist-off caps. Perfect.” Cooper nudged the two root beers closer to Kurt and Blaine, apparently oblivious to what he’d interrupted.

“Cooper?”

“Yeah?” He’d opened his beer and had taken a long pull of it before leaning back against the edge of the tub, stretching his other arm around along the side.

“We’re kind of, uh,” Blaine glanced down at Kurt’s bare chest, flushed pink with the heat of the water. “We’re kind of naked in here.”

“Oh we’re skinny dipping!” Cooper set his own bottle down on the desk and before Kurt or Blaine could protest, reached under the surface of the water and shucked his swim shorts off, flinging them across the deck where they landed with a wet slap.

“Ahhh,” Cooper sighed, wiggling his hips under the water. “Much better. You boys have the right idea about this.”

Blaine looked back at Kurt, a pained expression on his face. Kurt just grinned and pressed a quick kiss to Blaine’s pouting mouth before helping his boyfriend slide off his lap and back onto the bench that ran around the circumference of the tub.

“Tonight,” he whispered into Blaine’s ear.

“Promise me.”

“Every night.” Kurt stole another kiss, nipping at Blaine’s full lower lip, before grabbing the root beers from the deck and pressing one into Blaine’s reluctant hand.

Kurt tipped his head back against the rim of the tub and stared up into the night sky, at the stars brilliant overhead. He had Blaine pressed close and warm against his side, where he would remain until the last moment of the summer, and someone who he hoped to call his brother-in-law one day across from him, humming what sounded like a bit like Lady Gaga.

Sometimes life was pretty good for Kurt Hummel.

This just proves that fandom needs to write the show and we need a Cooper and Klaine spin off show. I can see this being portrayed by Darren Chris and Matt so perfectly.

Oh my God you always make me smile with your fic! I want a Cooper Anderson, he is just perfection. I love that he didn't get the hint. Loved it!

Delightful. I loved your Cooper voice. Spot on as were his reactions. (Ah to be a fly in that hot tub.)
