Blaine ordered his medium drip and scanned the Lima Bean for an empty seat. The only free one was next to the one person who he needed, but he hadn't spoken to Kurt in almost a week ... not since their fight about his sexuality.

"Um ... can - can I sit here?" Blaine asked cautiously.

Kurt glanced up, obviously feigning surprise.

"Are you still mad at me?" Asked Kurt, his heartbeat increasing and his stomach twisting at the sight of his best friend and the object of his affection.

"I was never really mad. I - I was just hurt ... I thought maybe you would support me." Blaine replied quietly.

"Oh. Well ... yeah, the seat is free - if you want it."

Blaine sat down carefully, staring at his coffee cup, hoping Kurt would fill the silence with the sound of his beautiful voice.

"Blaine," Kurt began timidly, "I'm so sorry. I shouldn't have gotten down on you for being confused. I - I've really missed talking to you this week."

"I've missed you too ..."

Kurt smiled weakly, his gaze falling back down to his own cup.

"Kurt? Is everything okay?"

"Oh um, I was just thinking ..."

"About what?" Blaine asked curiously, wondering what could possibly have made Kurt so sad.

"Just - when you said that I - I was like Karofsky ... it - well it kinda stung a little ... especially coming from you." A single tear rolled down Kurt's cheek as he felt Karofsky's lips on his, his meaty hands crushing his ears. He heard the quiet moan that left Karofsky's mouth.

"Oh Kurt, I'm sorry. I was upset and hurt and sort-of angry. I didn't mean it."

"I know, it just kinda hurt ... that's all. D'you think ... well, could we be friends again? Put this whole thing behind us?"

"Yeah, I'd love that." Blaine smiled warmly.

"Me too." Kurt beamed, and oh, how Blaine had missed that smile.

"Let's not fight again." Blaine insisted.
