"Today is the going to be the best day of my life. I'm marrying the man I love" Kurt exclaimed with glee as he hugged his two best friends Rachel and Mercedes.
"Just not the love of your life"
"Dad, don't start that again. He-Blaine didn't want me"
"But-"
"No! Today I am going to walk down that aisle, marry the man I love, surrounded by our friends and family and nothing is going to ruin that for me.! Got that?"
Carole Hudson walked into the room and proceeded towards her stepson
"Kurt, someone dropped this off, said it's from Chandler" handing over a bulky white envelope.
Grabbing the envelope, Kurt opened it and looked inside. With a frown on his face, he dug his hand inside and pulled out a silver ring band. Chandler's engagement ring.
Placing the ring on the end of his middle finger, he pulled out the piece of paper from the envelope and opened it.
Kurt,
So today is suppose to be the start of our lives together, growing old side by side, but it's not me you want to grow old with. It's blaine. I know this is the cowardly way to do this but, as you read this letter I will be on my way to Boston. So as you walk down that red carpet and stop and the end of the altar it won't be me standing there waiting to marry you.
Don't worry I made all the right arrangements and told your father and friends not to tell you. Don't be too hard on them, they just want you to be happy...with the right person.
I hope you have a happy life together and know that you will always be in my heart.
Goodbye Kurt Hummel (future Mr Hummel-Anderson)
Love always,
Chandler
Tears threatening to fall as he finished reading the short letter.
"Kurt, honey, what does it say?"
Dropping the letter to the floor, moments later the sound the clatter of the silver wedding band landing on the wooden floor.
Kurt walked over to the dressing table and stared into the mirror, tears running down his pale face.
Behind him with huge grins on their faces Rachel and Mercedes tried to console their friend.
"Kurt-"
Wiping away the fallen tears, Kurt turned round and stared at his friends "Well what is everyone waiting for? There's a wedding to take place"
Almost immediately Rachel began pushing Burt and Carole out of the room and started barking orders at Mercedes, who began milling around Kurt.
"Right ladies let's get me ready to be married"
Fifteen minutes later Kurt began his walk down the aisle, his father by his side.
Just as Chandler had told him, he wasn't at the end of the aisle, but in his place was the most handsome man he had ever seen.
His dark curls gelled back, smiling shyly at him was the only man he knew who could pull off a bowtie. Blaine Anderson.
Once they had reached the end of the aisle, Burt kissed Kurt's cheek and shook Blaine's hands. Walking away to sit with his wife. Not before whispering "take care of my son" in Blaine's directing.
After 3 years been apart Kurt finally had Blaine back and he wasn't going to let him go.
"Hey, you ready for this" Blaine whispered
"I've been ready for this since the day we met"
Grinning like mad men, Blaine reached his hand out towards Kurt, who in return grabbed the offered hand and together they turned towards the priest.
At the back of the room, in the shadows Chandler watched with happiness as Kurt and Blaine became Mr Hummel-Anderson, and began their lives together.
