Kurt and Blaine's reaction to finding out the bill passed in New York. ONE-SHOT!

Kurt sat on his bed, his laptop perched on his knees. He was taking deep breaths. His fingers were crossed so tight that he worried the might not come apart. He was nervous as hell.
What if the bill didn't pass? He didn't know what he would do then. He had been planning on going to New York after he graduated. He had been planning on going there with Blaine. He had his life after Lima all mapped out, but he would forget about all that if he would finally be allowed to marry whomever he wanted.
He held his breath the last few seconds and even closed his eyes for good measure. His palms were sweating. After taking a few more deep breaths, he finally, cautiously, opened his eyes. His breath stuck in his throat.
The bill passed.
The. Bill. Passed.
THE BILL FUCKING PASSED!
He squealed and jumped on his bed. Tears stung the back of his eyes. He abruptly closed his laptop and bolted out of his room.
"IT PASSED!" He yelled, flying by his parents and Finn.
"Whoa, slow down there, Kurt. What passed?" Burt asked.
"The gay marriage bill! New York just passed it!" Kurt gushed in jubilance, grabbing his car keys and dashed to his car.
"We're happy for you!" Carole cheered after him with a smile.
Kurt started driving before he even knew where he was going. He was giddy with joy. His favorite place now made gay marriage now just everyday marriage. No boundaries would be put on him or Blaine or any other gays in New York. They could be just like every other couple. They could already go on dates and do all that other romantic crap no one could take away from them, but now they could take that one step toward committing to their partners.
Then he realized where he was going. To Blaine.
Parking in the driveway of Blaine's house, Kurt bounded to the front door to ring the doorbell. The moment he saw Blaine on the other side, he pounced on the shorter boy planting the most passion-filled kiss he could muster up.
"Kurt, wha-"
"They passed the bill, Blaine. New York passed the bill," a breathless Kurt explained.
Blaine's eyes widened. "Wait," a smile began forming on his face. "You mean..."
"Yeah. If we wanted to get married, we could," Kurt said. "They won't care."
A huge grin was plastered on Blaine's face now. He bodily picked Kurt up, swinging his boyfriend around, before fixing a messy, but hot kiss. They stayed like that for a bit, staying as close to each other as they could, just taking the news in.
"It feels like everything's falling into place," Kurt whispered. "I mean, I have two loving parents, and a sometimes dorky, but awesome stepbrother. I got you, which took long enough. We're going to New York when we graduate and now we can even get married there."
"I know, baby, I know. I can't believe it happened," Blaine said with a little laugh. He suddenly looked back at Kurt, serious. "Even if it hadn't happened, even if they had voted no on the bill, I still wouldn't let you go. Hell, I'd take you to some place where they would let us get married if we wanted it bad enough. Nothing can stop me from loving you, not now, not ever."
End Notes: So that was it, it's better than the one I started with which was set in the future in New York, but I like it even better. It's not that good, I think I lost some of my fan-fic talent since I took such a long break from writing it, but I think this turned out alright.
