Author's Notes: My first fic, so please let me know how I can improve. Also I was inspired by the Alex Day song She Walked Right Through Me.

Kurt sat on his couch in his brand new apartment. He marveled still at how he got an apartment in New York City at such a cheap price, but decided not to question it since he got the walk in closet that he always dreamed of and a porch that looked out over the city. It was his first time living on his own, his latest clothing designs had been picked up by a store and he made enough money to finally get his own place. So here he was sitting by himself, he didn't feel much like watching TV or going out so he thought he might do some work.

Kurt went over to his sketching desk and sat down. He started to doodle some ideas down when he heard a creak behind him. He turned around quickly to see nothing. It must be my own imagination, he thought to himself as he slowly turned back to his drawing. He heard the sound a few seconds later again he stiffened up and slowly turned his head until his eyes met something unexpected.

Kurt let out a scream and jumped out of his chair, backing up to the wall and pinning himself against it. In front of him stood a man with dark hair, short stature, and thin physique. "Who the hell are you and why are you in here!" yelled Kurt. The man chuckled and held his hands up in a way to show he was no harm. "I live here, silly."

"No I live here" Kurt protested, still plastered against the wall. He eyed his cell phone sitting on the kitchen table, too far away to grab. The man followed Kurt's gaze to the cell phone and said "let me explain, I lived here, I died five years ago in this very apartment. I didn't mean to scare you, but I wanted to let my presence be known because I can't leave and I don't want to be creepy and just watch you all day."

Kurt's face was flushed, this couldn't be right, this was a joke. He just stared at the "ghost" but had nothing to say and he couldn't get his feet to move. He just now noticed that the man looked pale and slightly transparent; maybe he was telling the truth. Maybe he was from...the other side.

The man took a breath and tried again "Look I know this is weird but I swear I am a good person, at least I was. My name is Blaine, I like to sing, and I promise to not play tricks on you while you live here." He smiled at Kurt, a most dazzling display that actually put Kurt at ease.

"How do I know this is for real? Ghosts aren't real and why would you be here even if they were."

"I am very much real, I can't leave this apartment if I knew why I would tell you, but seriously you don't need to worry I will stay out of your way and leave you to your life." Blaine gave his most sincere puppy dog eyes to Kurt trying to win over his trust.

Kurt couldn't help but smile at the sad look on Blaine's face, he didn't know why but he said "yeah ok, my name is Kurt"

---------------------------------------------------

For the next month Kurt went about his business as usual. Blaine would show up sometimes and they would talk and they started to get to know each other. Kurt was surprised to find that he liked Blaine. No, not just liked, he really liked him. They both told the other about their lives (or previous lives) and about all their likes and dislikes. Kurt apparently hated slushies, and mismatched clothing. On the other hand Blaine hated coffee, said it reminded him of his living years too much, so Kurt made a mental note to never bring home coffee. The boys would have movie marathons choosing movies from Breakfast at Tiffany's to Phantom of the Opera. They also found that they both loved to sing, so sometimes an impromptu singing and dancing session would take place, rocking out to Pink's Raise Your Glass.

"Blaine?" Kurt whispered late one night after he finished watching Eternal Sunshine of the Spotless Mind.

"Yeah, Kurt?" Blaine was sitting on opposite side of the couch from Kurt.

"What happens if I touch you? I mean is it possible for me to touch you?" Kurt looked shyly at Blaine, he didn't know why but for the last week all he wanted to do was touch Blaine. He had grown so attached to Blaine that he would actually cancel plans with his alive friends so he could stay home and just be with him.

"I am not sure; I have never tried to touch anyone before. I don't even know if I can" said Blaine fidgeting with his fingers he moved closer to Kurt on the couch. Blaine offered his hand to Kurt and Kurt reached out his own hand and placed it into Blaine's. His hand went right through the other hand and Kurt gasped. A cold twinge shot through his hand and up his arm, his heart raced, he had never felt anything like this before. His eyes shot up to Blaine's face, he looked alarmed as well, and when he saw Kurt looking he gave a broad smile.

"That was weird." Blaine finally said.

"Weird? I thought it was amazing, I have never been more exhilarated. What did it feel like for you? I mean it is weird that my hand goes right through you, but I can feel you. I can't even describe how it felt, I just...I mean..." Kurt was rambling now, but how can something as simple as a touch cause him to go into such a tizzy.

Blaine was shaking with laughter. "Kurt relax! I have never actually touched anyone, it was so warm and pleasant, and I wouldn't mind doing it again."

Kurt grinned; he really wanted to do it again too. The butterflies in his stomach were going into over drive; he had never felt like this with anyone before. He was still looking into the big hazel eyes that were staring right back at him, and he knew that this man was the one for him. It was unrealistic for him to fall for this ghost of a man, but he had. There was no living person better, more caring, or more beautiful than Blaine. Kurt didn't know how, but he knew he wanted it more than anything.

Kurt held Blaine's gaze for a second longer before slowly leaning in toward Blaine allowing him the opportunity to pull away but instead Blaine moved forward too. Their lips touched and instantly they both pulled back. It's a weird feeling kissing someone that you can't physically touch but you can still feel. You know exactly what part of them that you are touching just from the currents of energy spreading over them to you. That energy between them was so electric that they were both stunned. Kurt pushed himself back to Blaine's lips immediately, this time they didn't pull away when the electricity spread through their lips but instead embraced it. Kurt didn't know much about what was happening but he knew that this was a place that he never wanted to leave.

----------------------------------------

Kurt came home from a party to an empty apartment. He was tired so he walked straight to the bedroom taking off his shirt and pants he flopped into bed and curled up on his side. His mind was racing and wouldn't slow down. He had a long day and was stressed out from work drama and he could tell he was getting close to his breaking point.

He felt a cold pair of arms appear from nowhere and wrap around his waist. A soft, chilly breath grazed over his neck and Kurt smiled. Nothing else mattered now, he was home.
