“Keep your eyes closed,” Kurt had his arm around Blaine’s lower back, his other hand in Blaine’s.

“Just tell me where we’re going!” Blaine pleaded, but his smile was unwavering.

“That would ruin the surprise,” Kurt said, and then began walking slowly, Blaine following closely at his side.

The walk was no longer than five minutes before Kurt stopped, “Alright, Blaine. We’re here.”

Blaine took a deep breath, “Can I open my eyes?”

Kurt placed a kiss on Blaine’s cheek, “Open your eyes.”

A sharp inhale followed quickly after the command, tears were already pricking at the corner of Blaine’s eyes.

“Oh, Kurt. It’s beautiful,” Blaine kept his hand covering Kurt’s, stepping forward carefully.

Kurt’s lips were taught in a wide smile, “I thought you’d like this.”

His eyes gleaming and his face bright, Blaine extended his free arm, offering it. Kurt rubbed his hand up and down on the small of Blaine’s back, reassuring him.

Blaine sighed with happiness, and let out in a shaky, breathy whisper, “I just love unicorns so much.”
