Platonic!Klaine (sort of) drabble based on the line at the end. Something that's been going through my head a lot recently. Crap title, I know.
Blaine was oh-so blas about using the 'L' word, and Kurt hated it. Ever since they'd met, Blaine said it to him every day. He'd tease Kurt every day, just little things, like he'd wait until Kurt went to the bathroom at lunch, and Blaine would hide his coffee.
-----------
"Hey, where's my coffee? I swear to god, if someone's drunk it I'll kill them!" Kurt said with a hint of amusement in his voice, when he returned to the table.
"Blaine, give it back, it's mean." Jeff grinned at Blaine, who had an all-too-innocent look on his face.
"Blaine..." Kurt warned.
"Fiiiinne." He sighed, returning Kurt's coffee to the table from the vacant chair next to him.
"Stop being horrible to Kurt!" Nick said, with a pointed look to Blaine.
"It's fine, he knows I love him really." Blaine beamed, and went back to his lunch. Nobody noticed how Kurt's heart skipped a beat. No-one saw the mixture of love and sadness is Kurt's eyes. They certainly didn't notice how he froze at Blaine's nonchalant use of 'love'
-----------------
Just little, simple, boring things like that. But he wanted Blaine to say those words to him and mean it. He wanted Blaine to say those words, then kiss away the happy tears falling down his cheeks. He wanted to be able to say those words back, and to see Blaine's eyes light up like a child's on Christmas Day. But he couldn't have it the way he wanted.
One thing went through Kurt's mind every time Blaine threw 'love' around like it meant nothing. One thought alone.
Don't tell me you love me, because I know you don't mean it how I want you to.
