As Kurt and Blaine strolled down Battery Park in the cold and harsh wind, Blaine sighed heavily.
"What's wrong?" Kurt asked him as they stopped walking. He turned to face Kurt.

"Kurt, you know how I came all the way from Lima to see you?" Blaine said with a sad edge to his voice.
"Of course I do." He replied.
"I just... I don't think you realise why I came here." He said quietly.
“What do you mean? You came because you miss me...right?” Kurt reached out to touch Blaine’s hand, but he quickly pulled away.
“No. Kurt, I-I came because... I need to tell you something.” Blaine sighed. Tears stung at his eyes.
Kurt nodded.
“It’s not working.” Blaine simply replied.
“What’s not working?”
“This. This relationship. The long-distance. The Skyping. The calling. The texting. I-I just can’t do it. I can’t bear to miss you anymore.”
“What? Y-you’re b-breaking up with me?” Kurt said sounding confused and dazed.
“I’m sorry, Kurt. I know I’m holding you back and that’s why I’m doing this.” Blaine looked at his one true love. His perfect face was stained with tears, his beautiful eyes red with hurt and anger and pain. He was holding his hand over his face, as if to hold back something big.
“Kurt, I’m sorry.” Blaine kept saying. He reached forward to touch Kurt’s cheek. Kurt angrily hit has hand out of the way.
“No! Blaine, you’re not sorry! For fuck’s sake! You said our relationship would last! You said we’d stay together! You lied to me!” Kurt burst out.
“I didn’t lie to you, Kurt. I told you the truth. But things change and...And people change! You’d know all about that, wouldn’t you!?” Blaine cried. The cold wind whipped against his face.
“Oh, my, GOD BLAINE! I didn’t change! Do you even know how hard it is for me to leave everything I’ve ever loved somewhere else?! I have to adapt to this whole new environment! And you can’t even be supportive of me?! Some boyfriend you are!” Kurt shouted back sounding as hurt as Blaine was.
“How can you even say that?! When you left McKinley, I had to find some other way to stay there! I don’t have any close friends and...what’s the point in me staying there?! I’m doing this for you,Kurt! Not for me! You completely ignored me today during the date! Just talking to Rachel about your stupid New York fantasy, well, Kurt... it’s never gonna happen!” Blaine could see frustration and anger in Kurt’s eyes.
“You know what? I’m done. Don’t ever talk to me again.” A moment of silence passed. All could Kurt think about was the first time they met. How perfect everything was. How perfect Blaine was. How could it all end?
“Just one more thing...how could you throw away everything we ever had? You were the love of my life, Blaine, and now it’s all just gone.” Kurt looked down at the floor, while tears flowed freely out of his eyes.
Blaine spoke softly after he wiped the tears from his face.
 “I-I love you. And I always will.”
“If you really love me, then why are you breaking my heart?” Kurt said sadly. And then he walked away.
