Reviews are lovely things.

“Blaine, where are we going?” Kurt said, smiling slightly to himself as he was led through the halls of McKinley.

“You'll see.” The shorter boy replied. God, Blaine was nervous. He was about to attempt something terrifying and – if all goes to plan – he'd have made everything better. He already had Kurt back as his friend, but he always knew they were something more. They were so obviously meant to be together that Blaine felt empty when they were apart. He'd put on a brave face and kept going so that people wouldn't ask questions. But he really needed Kurt back. They were like cogs; they only made things work when they were together.

Blaine pulled Kurt into the McKinley auditorium and smiled. Each boy looked around the room; a room made bigger by what it meant to them. So many of their memories took place in this room. Memories of light flutters of eyelashes, soft blushes and loving kisses. Perfect snapshots of their time together.

“Okay…so…this is the auditorium. I do know this place, you know?” Kurt teased, causing Blaine to laugh under his breath. Before Kurt knew it, he was grinning. Blaine's laugh was one of Kurt's weaknesses, but no one needed to know that. “Why are we here?”

This was it. Blaine's moment.

“Just…go sit. Front row.” The curly-haired boy instructed. He bounced on the balls of his feet nervously. Blaine watched his best friend sway over to take his place in the front row before taking a very deep breath and grounding himself on the stage. “So…we're here for a reason. A reason that I know I've been incredibly cryptic about. But a reason nonetheless.” He knew he was rambling, but he was nervous. “This room means a lot to us. I don't need to tell you how much. But I do need to tell you that I love you.” Blaine saw Kurt shift in his seat and he quickly continued before the taller boy could say anything. “I know I've said sorry a million times, but I thought I'd say it again. In a way that rings true for us both.”

Kurt tilted his head as he listened to his ex-boyfriend talk. When he watched Blaine walk over to the piano and take his seat, he understood. Blaine had said sorry in every way imaginable, but not through song. He'd forgiven Blaine already. It was kind of hard not to forgive someone when you're in love with them. But he'd listen. Of course he would. Because, while he'd forgiven Blaine, he wasn't sure Blaine realised how significant him cheating had been. Kurt had always felt second best. He'd been second best to Rachel when it came to solos; second best to the entire female population when it came to his high-school crushes; and then second best to some other guy when it came to the love of his life. But he broke out of what was about to become a one-man pity party and focused on the beautiful boy on the stage in front of him.

He saw Blaine's chest rise and his eyes flutter shut as he concentrated. Blaine's fingers took their place on the piano and he paused for a moment, reflecting in on himself as he did before every performance. It was his way of making sure he put himself into the performance. Something that he really needed to do if this was going to have the desired effect. He pushed his fingers down to play the first chord.

Theres nothing I could say to you

Nothing I could ever do to make you see

What you mean to me

All the pain, the tears I cried

Still you never said goodbye

And now I know how far youd go

I know I let you down

But it's not like that now

This time I'll never let you go

As the words spilled out of Blaine's mouth in the slow melody, Kurt's eyes widened. While this song had no specific importance to them as a couple, Kurt was overwhelmed by the relevance of it. He had never said goodbye. Even though they'd been apart, they had always been in each other's hearts and minds. They were each other. That's the funny thing about being soulmates with someone, you're not just part of that person's life, you're part of that person. He shifted in his seat ever so slightly, his eyes trained on the boy in front of him. He saw Blaine's face tilt slightly and look directly at him.

I will be

All that you want

And get myself together

‘Cause you keep me from falling apart

All my life

I'll be with you forever

To get you through the day

And make everything okay

Blaine smiled slightly and sincerely at the boy in the front row. He meant every single word he was singing. He was going to be better this time. More together, more loyal. He'd let Kurt down and he would never let that happen again. He needed Kurt in his life; he felt like he couldn't breathe without him.

I thought that I had everything

I didn't know what life could bring

But how I see

Honestly

You're the one thing I got right

The only one I let inside

Now I can breathe

‘Cause you're here with me

And if I let you down

I'll turn it all around

‘Cause I will never let you go
I will be all that you want

And get myself together

Cause you keep me from falling apart
All my life, Ill be with you forever

To get you through the day

And make everything okay

Cause without you I cant sleep

Im not gonna ever ever let you leave

Youre all Ive got, youre all I want
Yeah and without you, I dont know what Id do

I could never ever live a day without you

Here with me, do you see?

Youre all I need…

When the piano became louder, Kurt decided that he couldn't sit still any longer. He ran up onto stage and – after a moment's hesitation – slid next to Blaine on the piano stool. He wiped his eyes and smiled. Was this happening? He loved Blaine more than anything; that was obvious. But could he really forgive him entirely? Kurt had heard someone say that love means never having to say you're sorry, but he's never believed that. Love meant forgiving someone no matter what and seeing past their mistakes, right?

He took a deep breath and closed his eyes. When the cue came, he joined in with the next part of the song.

And I will be all that you want

And get myself together

Cause you keep me from falling apart

All my life(My life)

Ill be with you forever(Forever)
To get you through the day

And make everything okay(Okay)

I will be all that you want(Ill be)

And get myself together(Get myself together)

‘Cause you keep me from falling apart

And all my life, you know I'll be with you forever

To get you through the day and make everything okay

Both boys spent what felt like hours gazing at each other as the last piano chord faded away. Blaine desperately searched for any sign of a reaction on Kurt's face. But Kurt had always been good at hiding his emotions, especially when he was still trying to figure them out. He analysed each delicate feature of Kurt's face. From the way his eyebrows were slightly furrowed together to the way his lips were turned up in a perfectly subtle smile.

“Wow…” Kurt breathed out quietly. “It's like you wrote that for us.”

“Us? There's an ‘us'?” Blaine interrupted quickly.

Kurt took a deep breath and closed his eyes again. “I-My heart says yes…but my mind is a tiny bit more cautious.” He opened his eyes and looked directly into Blaine dazzlingly bright hazel eyes. “I don't need to tell you that you hurt me-“

“I know, and I'm sorry for that, Kurt. I-“ Blaine interrupted again, but shushed when Kurt held up his hand.

“I know you're sorry, Blaine. Please don't say it again.” The blue-eyed boy teased lightly before his voice turned serious. “But, love isn't rational…is it? I mean, there's plays and novels about love being ridiculous and unconditional. People wouldn't write that if it wasn't at least sort of true. And, god I love you. I love you more than anything…more than any random cliché I can come up with.” Kurt, while eyes had been looking around the auditorium as he spoke, focused back on Blaine's soft and quizzical gaze.

“Is that your way of saying that you'll…give us a go?” Blaine spoke slowly and carefully, not wanting to sound too presumptuous. He obviously wanted Kurt back – that's what this was all for – but he wanted Kurt to come back because he wanted to, not because he felt he had to.

Kurt smiled and nodded, he was slightly breathless as he spoke. “Yes. Of course.” Kurt mimicked the enormous grin that spread across Blaine's face. He couldn't help it.

Blaine threw his arms around Kurt and held him close. He practically giggled with excitement and relief at what had just happened. All this was to start repairing things with Kurt and to tell him that Blaine wanted him back romantically, but Blaine thought he could only wish for things to go this well. He felt Kurt's arms wrap around him and he instantly felt at home. Kurt was his home; wherever Kurt was, Blaine felt he needed to be. That was the reason that Ohio had felt so strange after Kurt had moved away. “I love you so much, Kurt.”

“I love you too, Blaine.” Kurt whispered, holding his fr-boyfriend close. He grinned and leaned back to look into Blaine's eyes. “I loved the song, as well.”

Blaine chuckled. “Yeah? It wasn't too…adolescent?” He teased a little.

Kurt laughed along with Blaine for a moment, their foreheads naturally resting together. “No, it was perfect. Completely perfect.”
